Apparatus and Method for Photonic Physiological and Neurological Stimulation

An apparatus and method utilizes photonics, particularly lasers, and biometric feedback for physiological and neurological stimulation. While many areas of the body are candidates, such laser stimulation is particularly directed to the outer ear. Lasers positioned over the ear stimulate targets on the outer ear for pain and stress management and regulation of the autonomic nervous system to affect symptoms and clinical conditions. Laser positioning, wavelength, aiming, focus, power, power density, timing, and sequencing are managed and modified dynamically in real time to effect a personalized and effective treatment protocol.

DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MECHANOSENSORY NERVE ENDING STIMULATION

A device for stimulating mechanosensory nerve endings can include: a housing having an internal chamber and first and second openings; optionally, a membrane covering the first opening of housing, the membrane being sufficient flexibility to vibrate upon receiving vibratory stimulation from a vibratory mechanism; and a coupling mechanism at the second opening configured for being fluidly coupled to the vibratory mechanism, wherein the entire device is magnetically unresponsive materials. The housing can be cylindrical, or any polygon shape. The membrane can be integrated with the housing or coupled thereto, such as with adhesive. Optionally, the membrane can be removably coupled to the housing. The membrane can be omitted such that the skin of a subject coupled to the device oscillates in response to the fluid vibrations.

Mirror therapy device

A portable mirror therapy device comprises a stiff divider panel attached to a base unit which supports the divider panel in an upright position to define two adjacent limb receiving spaces at opposite sides of the divider panel. A mirror is mounted on one face of the divider panel. A clamp mounted at a lower end of the divider panel cooperates with an underside of the base unit for securing the base unit on a support such as a table or worktop. An exercise apparatus is mounted on the device and includes a limb engaging member, which in this case comprises a handle at a mirror side of the divider panel. The exercise apparatus is a resistance load training system and comprises a load cord extending from the handle to an associated resistance element mounted within a housing on an opposite side of the divider panel to the mirror.

POWERED EXOSKELETON AND STABILIZING STRUCTURE THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to a powered exoskeleton. The powered exoskeleton includes a leg connection rod and a stabilizing structure. The stabilizing structure is mounted on the leg connection rod. The stabilizing structure is switched between a folded state and an unfolded state in such a manner that the stabilizing structure is folded on the leg connection rod when the stabilizing structure is in the folded state, and the stabilizing structure is suitable for being in contact with the ground and supports the leg connection rod in a tilted upward direction when the stabilizing structure is in the unfolded state.

AUTOMATED DETECTION OF CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION CHEST COMPRESSIONS

A system for assisting a rescuer in providing resuscitative treatment to a victim is described. The system includes a motion sensor configured to generate motion sensor signals that are indicative of motion of the chest of the victim during chest compressions, an input device configured to receive user input indicative of a type of chest compressions, an output device, and a processor, a memory, and associated circuitry, the processor communicatively coupled to the motion sensor, the input device, and the output device and is configured to receive the motion sensor signals and the user input indicative of the type of chest compressions, determine chest compression feedback for the rescuer based on the motion sensor signals, and control the output device to selectively provide the chest compression feedback for the rescuer based at least in part on the type of chest compressions indicated by the user input.

SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR DOCUMENTING CODE BLUE SCENARIOS
20180250519 · 2018-09-06 ·

An apparatus may be configured for providing feedback to caregivers during a code blue scenario when adhered to the chest of a subject undergoing resuscitation by sensing and transmitting information associated with the code blue scenario. Such information may include one or more of vital signs of the subject during resuscitation, information associated with chest movements of the subject during resuscitation, and audio information from an environment of the subject during resuscitation. One or more processors may generate real-time feedback for communication to the caregivers during the code blue scenario based on the sensed and transmitted information.

Ear stimulation with neural feedback sensing

Systems and related methods for delivering a stimulus to a pinna of a subject with a stimulator worn on the pinna are described. A wearable stimulation device includes a mechanical, electrical, or other type of stimulator secured to a pinna of a subject. The stimulation device may be used to deliver a stimulus that modulates activity of sensory nerve fiber innervating the pinna. Stimulation may be delivered in response to a sensed neural signal indicative of a physiological status of the subject, and/or in response to sensed environmental parameters. Stimulation may be delivered in combination with other stimuli or experiences. In an aspect, a stimulator communicates with and/or is controlled by a personal computing device.
