SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATION TO EFFECT AN EPIGENETIC OUTCOME

Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to causing an epigenetic change in a user. The methods include measuring an epigenetic marker in the user, wherein the epigenetic marker is at least one of a regulation of a protein or a gene; or a methylation, acetylation, or phosphorylation status of at least one of a gene, histone, or portion of DNA. The methods further include subjecting a user to a first transcutaneous vibratory output selected to assist the user in achieving a target state, the first transcutaneous vibratory output comprising a first perceived pitch, a first perceived beat, and a perceived intensity, and repeating the measurement of the epigenetic marker to identify a change in an aspect of the epigenetic marker as a result of subjecting the user to the first transcutaneous vibratory output.

Mirror Therapy Device

A portable mirror therapy device comprises a stiff divider panel attached to a base unit which supports the divider panel in an upright position to define two adjacent limb receiving spaces at opposite sides of the divider panel. A mirror is mounted on one face of the divider panel. A clamp, indicated generally by the reference numeral mounted at a lower end of the divider panel cooperates with an underside of the base unit for securing the base unit on a support such as a table or worktop. An exercise apparatus is mounted on the device and includes a limb engaging member, which in this case comprises a handle at a mirror side of the divider panel. The exercise apparatus is a resistance load training system and comprises a load cord extending from the handle to an associated resistance element mounted within a housing on an opposite side of the divider panel to the mirror.

Systems and methods are operable to control presentation of an erotica-related media content event. An exemplary embodiment is a media device that receives information from a user sensor that is configured to sense a physical characteristic of a user viewing the erotica-related media content event, and automatically changes presentation of the erotica-related media content event based on the received information corresponding to the sensed physical characteristic of the viewing user.

Ankle-Assisted Exoskeleton Device

An ankle-assisted exoskeleton device, comprising: an actuator (100), which is configured to be worn behind the waist of a user; lower limb supports (200); and pull lines (300), which are configured to controllably apply a pulling force on the lower limb supports (200) under the drive of the actuator (100). The lower limb supports (200) each comprise: a calf ring (210) configured to surround the calf of the user; a connecting rod assembly (220) that is attached to the calf ring (210) and that extends downward; and a foot support (230) that is hinged to the lower end of the connecting rod assembly (220) and that is connected to a pull line (300); the foot supports (230) are each configured to apply an upward pulling force on the sole of the foot of the user so as to drive the foot of the user to rotate about the ankle joint. The described device can be easily worn, does not restrict the joints of the user, and provides lower limb assistance without relying on the surface of the skin of the user to provide tangential force, thereby improving the daily movement capabilities and moving efficiency of the user.

COORDINATED SYSTEM OF MULTIPLE TRANSDUCERS

Delivering vibratory therapy to a user may include using a system with a first transducer adapted to emit a first transcutaneous vibratory output; a second transducer adapted to emit a second transcutaneous vibratory output; and a processor in electronic communication with a user interface, the first transducer, and the second transducer, wherein the user interface accepts a user target state. The processor may be programmed to (i) generate a first transcutaneous vibratory output pattern comprising a first perceived pitch, a first perceived beat, and a first intensity; (ii) generate a second transcutaneous vibratory output pattern comprising a second perceived pitch, a second perceived beat, and a second intensity; (iii) cause the first transducer to emit a first transcutaneous vibratory output based on the first transcutaneous vibratory output pattern; and (iv) cause the second transducer to emit a second transcutaneous vibratory output based on the second transcutaneous vibratory output pattern.

Rehabilitation system for robotized mobilization of a glenohumeral joint

A rehabilitation system for robotized mobilization of a human glenohumeral joint of a patient. The rehabilitation system may include a limb gripping member and an actuating mechanism. The limb gripping member may be configured to receive an arm of a patient and secure the arm of the patient in a predetermined position. The actuating mechanism may be configured to urge a head of a humerus bone of the patient to glide along a first axis by applying a linear force to a proximal end of the humerus bone of the patient.

Control method and control apparatus for turning walking

A control method and apparatus for a turning walking receives sensor information, recognizes a turning walking of a user based on the sensor information, and adjusts at least one control parameter to assist the turning walking.

LOW-VOLUME INFLATABLE ACTUATOR COMPOSITES FOR WEARABLE APPLICATIONS AND PORTABLE PNEUMATIC SOURCE

Systems and methods for a wearable exoskeleton include an inflatable actuator with a reduced operation volume for faster operation. The inflatable actuator may include a first paddle connectable to the human body, a second paddle connectable to the human body, and an inflatable fabric coupled between the first paddle and the second paddle. In response to the inflatable fabric being filled with compressed air, the rigidity of the inflatable fabric increases, causing the angle between the first paddle and the second paddle to change to provide an assistive force for a movement of the human body. A portable pneumatic source is provided for quickly supplying a compressed air to the inflatable actuator. The portable pneumatic source may include a double acting piston and a cylinder defining a first chamber and a second chamber, and a valve assembly, for compressing air at both the upstroke and downstroke of the piston.
