Authenticatable coatings for pharmaceutical tablets and ingestible materials
09789069 · 2017-10-17 · ·

An authenticable and machine readable coating for pills, tablets and other ingestible materials is provided. The disclosure also relates to methods of authenticating the same. The coatings are formed from a lattice of particles stacked to cause selective diffraction such that each pill or tablet has an optical signature. The signature associated with each coating can be read and authenticated. In one embodiment, the particles are substantially spherical and self-organized. In one embodiment, generally recognized as safe (GRAS) materials are used to form the particles.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LOADING A LYOPHILIZATION SYSTEM
20170291774 · 2017-10-12 ·

Disclosed are systems and methods for aseptically filling pharmaceutical containers with a pharmaceutical substance and then lyophilizing it. In one general aspect, the system and method can employ a lyophilizer loader subsystem having an interior chamber in communication with an interior chamber of a lyophilizer subsystem via a portal with a sealable door, with the collective interior being aseptically sealable. An articulated robotic arm can be employed to batch transfer to the lyophilizer subsystem container nests bearing the pharmaceutical containers. In one embodiment, the nests may be transferred serially to the loader subsystem, with the articulated robotic arm being configured to transfer the nests of containers in batches to the lyophilizer subsystem. The articulated robotic arm can also be configured to be used to move batches of nests within the lyophilizer subsystem. One implementation includes two articulated arms and a joint rotary wrist driven by two rotary shoulders.

DRUG DECOCTING CONTAINER
20170326032 · 2017-11-16 ·

A drug decocting container comprises a cover body (1), an inner-layer container, and an outer-layer container. The inner-layer container is em-bedded in the inner part of the outer-layer container, the strength of the outer-layer container is larger than that of the inner-layer container, and the outer-layer container supports the inner-layer container and controls deformation of the inner-layer container. The cover body (1) is connected with the inner-layer container in a sealing way to form a sealed cavity, and a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet are provided on the sealed cavity. An inner pipe (3) is supported by a high-strength outer pipe (2) in the drug decocting container, such that the wall thickness of the inner pipe (3) can be thin, thereby reducing costs of the inner pipe (3), providing a condition for disposable use of the inner pipe (3), and preventing drugs from influencing each other by residues in the inner pipe (3) so as to affect the quality of a beverage while decocting different drugs. Decoction pieces are separated by multi-stage baffle plates (4), thereby reducing pressure of the decoction pieces on a filter piece (5), and increasing the flowing speed of extract liquor.

MEDICINE SORTING APPARATUS

An object of the present invention is to automatically identify a direction, a posture and characteristics such as a shape, a size, a type and an expiration date of a medicine and store the medicine with ensuring a high degree of freedom. A medicine supplying apparatus 1 includes an identifying part and a storing part. A storing area is defined at the time of storing the medicine according to a size of a medicine contained in characteristics of the medicine identified by the identifying part. The medicine is stored in the storing part in a state that identification information of the medicine is associated with the storing area. Further, the medicine supplying apparatus has a determination processing part which can determine whether or not the medicine is a target to be treated based on the characteristics of the medicine identified by the identifying part.
