Image acquisition for medical dose preparation system
Use of improved image acquisition for a medical dose preparation system. The medical dose preparation system may include a work station for capturing medical dose preparation images (e.g., to document preparation of a mediation dose). The medical dose preparation image may be captured by a video data stream processor capable of performing an auto cropping technique on a video data stream received from an image device. Accordingly, memory resources may be more efficiently employed while maintaining high quality medical dose preparation images.
Dosing syringe
A dosing syringe comprising a barrel and a piston is provided. The piston is slidably receivable in the barrel and can move within the barrel from a maximum inserted position to a withdrawn position to draw a dose of a product into the barrel. The syringe comprises means for pre-setting the withdrawn position, which defines a maximum dose which can be drawn into the barrel.
Modular system for inventory and transport efficiency of packaging
Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.
Prefilled Medicated Pacifier
The present invention relates to an improved pacifier to provide a pre-measured medication or supplement to an infant without requiring teaspoons, medical cups, and more. The improved pacifier features a substantially transparent nipple which is prefilled, or selectively filled, with a liquid medication or supplement that allows an infant to suck the nipple to dispense the medication or supplement in their mouth. The nipple is releasably attached to a shield device through a central opening of the shield. The shield also inhibits the pacifier from falling out of the mouth and dropping on the ground. The nipples are color coded in different colors for indicating different medications. Pre-measured dosage marks are indicated on the nipple for indicating the quantity of the medication stored in the nipple.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC PILL DISPENSER WITH REPLACEABLE INSERT
A pill dispenser includes a housing that surrounds a removable container for holding pills to be dispensed by the pill dispenser. The removable container includes a pill outlet that is accessible by a patient through the housing. In use, the medication only contacts the removable container and the pill outlet, so that when all of the pills within the removable container have been dispensed, the removable container may be removed from the container and safely disposed of before installing a new removable container. This allows the parts of the pill dispenser that have not contacted the medication to be reused.
Apparatus and method of dispensing pharmaceuticals and other medications
A medication dispensing apparatus includes a housing for at storing at least one medication in bulk, a dispenser, and a verification sensor. The at least one medication including a plurality of doses of the at least one medication. The dispenser separates a single dose from the at least one medication in bulk. The dispenser moves the single dose of the at least one medication from a position within the housing to a position outside the housing. The verification sensor verifies that the at least one medication is a correct medication.
AUTOMATED MODULAR PILL DISPENSING DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
The automated modular pill dispensing device is for selectively dispensing pills of a pill regimen to a patient. The dispensing device includes a base unit having a pill dispensing chute leading to a pill receptacle area. A plurality of stackable pill trays each include a series of pill compartments. The plurality of stackable pill trays each include communication ports for communicatively interfacing with the pill tray communication interface of the base unit and adjacent stackable pill trays above and below. Each stackable pill tray includes an opening in the tray base, aligned with the pill dispensing chute of the base unit, and an actuator configured to selectively advance the series of pill compartments towards the pill hopper in response to the controller so that pills therein will be dispensed, in accordance with the pill regimen, through the pill hopper and via the pill dispensing chute to a pill receptacle positioned at the pill receptacle area.
Medication compliance methods, devices, and systems
Cannabis, much like medications, requires secure containment. It is particularly important to prevent access to Cannabis to children, elderly, or others for whom the Cannabis is not prescribed, designated, or legally permitted. Provided herein are medication tracking and securement devices, systems, platforms, and methods configured to be used with or in place of commercial standard medicine bottles. The wireless tracking and communications elements of the present disclosure are configured to prevent medication theft, overdosing, medication loss, and prescription noncompliance.
PILL DISPENSER AND HOME MEDICATION SYSTEM
A pill dispensing device including a body, member, and disc. The disc includes an aperture shaped so that the member can extend through the aperture, whereas the rotation of the member also rotates the disc. The disc includes first and second disc sections having a pill storage sections and a dispensing portion. The dispensing portion has an arm biased towards a stop, as well as a wheel. When the disc section is rotated, a wheel arm engages with the arm, causing the arm to rotate away from the stop and allowing the rotation of the disc section to continue in a first direction. The stop adjacent to the arm prevents the arm from rotating in a second direction and therefore prevents the disc section from rotating in a second direction. The rotation of the disc sections dispense medication from the device.
RECYCLED TWO CELL CONTAINER DEVICE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING A RECYCLED TWO CELL CONTAINER DEVICE
A two-cell container device the device includes a first housing and configured to house a liquid, the first housing including a body, wherein the body further comprises an annular form with an interior reservoir for the liquid and a central through-hole and a mouth portion providing access to the interior receptacle. The two-cell container device includes a second housing, the second housing secured within the through-hole, the second housing configured to house at least a pill, wherein the second housing includes a first side including at least a pill receptacle having an opening and a second side adhered to the first side, wherein the second side covers the opening.
