A pacifier retention device comprising a tether having a proximal end and a distal end, a housing, a spool with channeled surface, spiral spring, and fasteners attached to the ends of the tether. The proximal and distal ends of the tether are connected to a clothing clip and a loop, respectively. The clip is attached to a piece of clothing while the loop is intertwined with a pacifier, the tether being under constant or configurable tension to prevent unwanted travel of the pacifier when not in use.

Disclosed are artificial nipples and methods of producing artificial nipples. Disclosed are methods of producing an artificial nipple comprising imaging a nipple region of a breast, wherein at least a portion of the breast comprising the nipple region is distorted due to at least a partial vacuum created through motions of lips and a tongue, wherein the imaging provides imaging data of the nipple region; and generating, based on the imaging data, an artificial nipple.

Implementations of a teething device are provided. In some implementations, the teething device comprises a teething head and a telescoping arm.

In some implementations, a method of using the teething device comprises connecting or attaching the teething device to a bib or other suitable garment, putting the teething device in an expanded configuration for usage, and inserting the teething head of the teething device into the mouth of a teething baby wearing the bib or other garment.

The invention relates to garments for pacifier plush toy accessories which are detachably configured to attach and detach from a plush toy attached to a pacifier or another pacifier accessory. The invention includes a decorative garment, which is attached to a plush pacifier toy, with multiple designs or fabric prints which includes an attachment means, such as hook and loop material, that is attached in place on the garment and which allows the garment to be easily attached or detached from a pacifier plush toy, another pacifier accessory or plush toy. The garment may encompass a wide variety of styles and shapes, such as a fireman jacket, a police uniform, dresses, jeans, hoodies, sports uniforms, overalls, coveralls, jumpers, cheerleader uniforms, band uniforms, lab coats, professional uniforms, sports uniforms, jerseys, tutus, skirts and any other garment type.

A chemical extraction apparatus has absorbent material for absorbing or adsorbing volatile chemicals from a breath of a user. The chemical extraction apparatus is positioned within such that breaths from the user flow over the absorbent material thereby causing volatile chemicals in the breaths to absorb or adsorb into the absorbent material. The invention is directed to an anti-scratch and chew mitts that are designed to have a selectively exposed teething surface. The selectively exposed teething surface can have teething elements for an infant to chew while teething. The anti-scratch and chew mitt can have a reversible teething cap that can be reconfigured from a teething configuration to a protective configuration. The teething elements being exposed about an outer surface of the teething cap in the first teething configuration. The teething cap is reversible such that the teething cap can be folded inside-out and over itself in a second protective configuration. In the second protective configuration the first surface of the teething cap having the teething elements is inverted upon itself thereby containing the outer surface having the teething elements of the teething cap within an interior of the teething cap in the second configuration.

An adhesive attachment device including a pacifier, a strap assembly and an adhesive attachment assembly. A distal end of the strap assembly is connected to the pacifier. Another distal end of the strap assembly is connected to a hook attachment of the adhesive attachment. The adhesive attachment has a first side having an attachment hook and a second side having a layer of an adhesive. Adhesive can be reapplied to the second side of the adhesive attachment for using multiple times the adhesive attachment assembly. The second side of the adhesive attachment assembly is removably secured to an article of clothing of a user.

The present invention is directed to a teething device for children to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with the emergence of teeth through their gums which typically occurs between month 4 and month 7 of a child's life. Various embodiments are described herein which surround the use of a mesh outer envelope filled with pellets contained therein.

A baby pacifier having a means to sense when it is dropped from an infant's mouth. The invention being comprised of a conventional, flexible pacifier with an onboard drop sensor therein. When the pacifier is dropped and contacts the ground or floor, the device senses the resulting vibration and sends a small audible sound along with a flash from a light emitting diode (LED) to notify the parent it has been dropped. Other embodiments of the invention can include different forms of notifications when they are droppedfor example, some can vibrate; some can activate when hearing a parents voice, a baby's cry, or to clapping. Still other embodiments allow parents to customize their own sound notifications when the device is dropped. An object of the invention is to minimize lost pacifiers by getting a parent's attention when the pacifier falls from an infant's mouth so they can recover it.

An infant monitoring system combines an infant soother having a sensor for detecting the location or sucking motion of the soother and a vital signs sensor for providing a vital signs sensor output. The vital signs sensor output is interpreted taking account of the sensing of the soother. In this way, it can be prevented that a soother sucking motion is incorrectly interpreted as a different vital signs measurement (such as heart rate or respiration rate) or otherwise corrupts the vital signs measurement.
