Pacifier Holder
A pacifier holder is comprised of a weighted body that sits on a surface, with an elongated appendage or appendages, and protrusion or protrusions, that extend from a body, in any direction, and serve as a pacifier retaining structure on which the handle of a pacifier or pacifiers, or other groove in a pacifier or pacifiers, can be easily hooked or rested upon, to store a pacifier or pacifiers in a hygienic manner, suspended above a surface, when not in use.
HYGIENIC AND ORTHOTROPIC ORAL DEVICES
A hygienic oral pacification device includes a fluid-filled bladder. The bladder includes a nipple and alveolar ridge-mating flanges. The bladder is dynamically shaped and allows for pressures provided by the suckling child to re-shaping the bladder and flanges. A bite-block extends into the bladder to maintain a fluid path from nipple to flanges. As the child completes the suckling cycle, the bladder nipple is depressed and fluid is forced in the engorging flanges. The flanges thus cover the alveolar ridges and fill the vestibules. Further, a feed-bottle nipple includes an opening skirt to expand and rotate in the buccal vestibule. As the child completes the suckling cycle, the mouth portion is distorted, the skirt extended to provide cleaning, stimulation, and a bumper to deny extensive pronation. The flanges and skirt may be covered with a textured surface, or bristles, that provide mechanical brushing of oral surfaces.
TALKING PACIFIER APPARATUS
A talking pacifier that will serve as an interpreter and an advocate for the vocally challenged, namely infants. The device contains a microprocessor coupled to a speaker for providing short musings that will appear to be delivered by the user of the device. In a preferred embodiment an activation button releases a baby's musings on everything from potty talk to politics.
Apparatus and methods for oral administration of fluids and medical instrumentation
Methods and devices for orally administering fluids and medical instrumentation to individuals for the promotion of health are disclosed. An apparatus is described comprising a cartridge including a cartridge body defining a reservoir and a cartridge spout extending proximally from the cartridge body and terminating at an aperture. A cartridge seal is attached to a proximal tip of the cartridge spout, wherein the cartridge seal hermetically seals the liquid within the cartridge, and wherein the cartridge seal is detachable from the proximal tip of the cartridge spout and permanently coupled to the cartridge at a location distal to the cartridge spout. A proximal cartridge seal portion is positioned proximal to the location of permanent coupling and is moveable away from the cartridge aperture once the cartridge seal is detached from the proximal tip of the cartridge spout.
Custom-made artificial nipple
An artificial nipple is formed of an elastomeric polymer by use of 3D printing after imaging of a mother's breast in an active state of lactation. The artificial nipple used as an attachment to a baby bottle or as the nipple component of a pacifier. Use of an artificial nipple formed in this manner mitigates a problem with nipple confusion, as may otherwise manifest in newborn offspring.
Hygienic pacifier with annular shield folding structure and method of manufacturing same
A hygienic pacifier includes an annular folding structure formed on a substantially spherical shield that joins a nipple to a faceplate and that is movable between a recoiled storage position in which the shield substantially surrounds the nipple and an extended use position in which at least a portion of the nipple projects through the nipple access opening and is exposed for use. The annular folding structure may be used to bias the shield to remain in the extended use position when the shield is placed in the extended use position. Further, in some instances, the annular folding structure may be configured to provide a bias that may be overcome by a moderate impact to the pacifier such as an impact associated with dropping the pacifier.
Pacifier arome system and method use
A system includes a pacifier, an aroma device secured to the pacifier, and an aroma scented material. The pacifier includes a solid body with a front surface and a back surface; and a nipple secured to and extending from the front surface. The aroma device includes a housing secured to and protruding from the back surface of the body, the housing forming an inner cavity. The an aroma scented material is removably secured within the inner cavity.
MASK FOR ADMINISTRATION OF INHALED MEDICATION
A breathing mask for use in administering inhalable medications to a patient in need of an inhaled drug is provided. The mask disclosed herein is particularly useful for use with very young children. The mask is made from a flexible molded plastic silicone or elastomeric material, and has an anthropometrically/anatomically/ergonomically contoured shape to provide a good seal, a comfortable fit, and minimal dead space within the mask. The airway is aligned with nose. There may be an orifice for use with a soother device to calm a child using the mask. Also provided is a visual flow indicator to provide an indication of the quality of the seal of the mask on the face.

MITTEN PACIFIER
A pacifier includes a nipple mounted on a mitten, which fits on either the left or right hand of a baby. The nipple extends laterally outwardly from one side edge of the mitten, in a region adjacent the baby's thumb. A strap on the mitten can be tightened to prevent the baby from losing the pacifier when the pacifier is not in the baby's mouth.
