Remote pharmaceutical verification
A pill verification system obtains a prescription filled at a pharmacy and gathers information of the pills being dispensed for a remote pharmacist to verify the prescription. As pills are dispensed to a pill vial to fill the prescription, a pill imaging system captures images of the pills, and a pill vial imaging system captures an image of the pill vial. The prescription, pill images, and pill vial image are transmitted to a remote verification system. A pharmacist is presented with the prescription, images of substantially all pills filling the prescription, and the pill vial of the prescription to verify the prescription is correct. The remote verification system may present prescriptions filled from many different pharmacies, permitting increased rate of verification and one pharmacist to support many pharmacies. The pharmacist's verification is transmitted to the pill verification system and displayed for a technician to complete verification of the pills.
Wound treatment apparatuses and methods for controlled delivery of fluids to a wound
Pump cassettes, wound-treatment apparatuses and methods. In some embodiments, a pump cassette comprises: a pump body having a pump chamber, an inlet valve in fluid communication with the pump chamber, and an outlet valve in fluid communication with the pump chamber; a diaphragm coupled to the pump body such that the diaphragm is movable to vary a volume in the pump chamber; and an identifier configured to store one or more properties of the pump cassette such that the identifier is readable by an automated reader to determine the one or more properties. In some embodiments, the pump cassette is configured to be removably coupled to a wound-treatment apparatus having an actuator such that the actuator can be activated to move the diaphragm.
Apparatus, systems and methods for storing, treating and/or processing blood and blood components
Apparatus, systems and methods are disclosed relating to certain aspects of blood processing, collecting or storing, including method and system for automated authentication, processing device with scanner, blood container with two dimensional barcode, blood collection containers, blood container label and related tracking method, integrated container system, and processing device with sterile connection device.
Verification system for a pharmacy packaging system
A pharmacy packaging system configured to dispense pharmaceuticals into a pharmaceutical pouch formed by a feed roll and including a verification system. The verification system includes a camera system configured to capture images in a visible spectrum and an infrared spectrum, a first light source configured to output an infrared spectrum light, a second light source configured to output a visible spectrum light, and a processor. The processor is operable to activate the first light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch and capture a first image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the first light source. The processor is also operable to activate the second light source to illuminate the pharmaceutical pouch and capture a second image of the pharmaceutical pouch while illuminated by the second light source. The processor is further operable to generate a third image based on the first image and the second image.
System and method for medicament storage, dispensing, and administration
Various exemplary embodiments relate to a method, device, and non-transitory machine-readable storage medium encoded with instructions for execution by a user device, the medium comprising: instructions for displaying an indication of an incoming request to establish a communication session with a patient operating a medication dispenser; instructions for establishing a two-way communication session with the patient via the medication dispenser based on a physician user of the user device approving the incoming request; instructions for displaying a dispense user interface (UI) element during the two-way communication session; instructions for receiving a selection of the dispense UI element from the physician user; and instructions for transmitting, based on the selection, a command for the medication dispenser to dispense a medication to the patient.
Derivation Of Information From Component Of Disposable Processing Circuit
A blood processing device includes a controller and a scanner coupled to the controller. The scanner is configured to scan a two-dimensional barcode associated with a component of a disposable processing circuit that is configured to be used in combination with the blood processing device. The scanner transmits a signal to the controller based on information derived from the two-dimensional barcode, with the controller determining information encoded into the two-dimensional barcode based on the signal received from the scanner.
Photoluminescent coupling
A coupling includes a first input port and a photoluminescent portion associated with the first input port. The first input port may be one or more of a gastric port, a jejunal port, or a balloon port. The first port may have a first glow-in-the dark feature and a second port may have a second glow-in-the-dark feature, which may be different from one another. The coupling may include means for orientation that assists a user in properly orienting a connector to be mounted in the first port in proper orientation and a first connector for coupling to the first port.
AUTOMATED CROSS-FACILITY, CROSS-CONTAINER OBJECT VALIDATION
Various embodiments of the present disclosure object provide tracking and monitoring techniques for implementing improved distribution systems in various environments. The techniques of the present disclosure may include receiving a transition identifier corresponding to a transitioning data object that include (a) a first object count of a plurality of transitioning objects within a transitioning container, (b) an intake identifier corresponding to the plurality of transitioning objects, and (c) a pallet identifier for a conveyor pallet configured to move the transitioning container. The techniques may include receiving a canister identifier corresponding to a distribution canister and in response to receiving the transition identifier and the canister identifier, (a) linking the canister and transition container, (b) determining, a second object count corresponding to the distribution canister, and (c) initiating a compliance operation based on a comparison between the first object count and the second object count.
Automatic, Gravity-Fed, Solid Dosage Form Dispenser
An automatic, gravity-fed, solid dosage form dispenser, comprising: at least one rotatable dose dispensing wheel, the dispensing wheels having a central drive mounting and comprising a plurality of solid dosage form holding compartments; a wheel housing having a base plate with a first side and a second side with first and second housing walls extending from the base plate to sub-housings, each one positioned on a respective side of the base plate to receive a dispensing wheel; and an interactive user interface device configured to control independent rotation of the dispensing wheels; wherein the respective dispensing wheels are positioned along a common axis of rotation perpendicular to the base plate of the wheel housing; and wherein the interactive user interface device is mounted to the wheel housing tangentially to an outer peripheral surface of the wheel housing walls.
