Pharmaceutical composition for treating headache, and preparation method thereof

A pharmaceutical composition for treating headache, prepared from eleven Chinese herbal medicines: Chinese angelica root, ligusticum chuanxiong, radix paeoniae lactiflorae, prepared rhizome of rehmannia, uncaria tomentosa, leatherleaf milletia, prunella vulgaris, sicklesenna seed, pearl shell, corydalis tuber, and asarum, and a proper amount of adjuvant materials. A preparation method of the pharmaceutical composition, and uses thereof in the preparation of drugs for treating various headaches, traumatic cranial nerve syndrome, dizziness and vertigo, vexation and irritability, insomnia and dreaminess.

Pharmaceutical compositions for treating ear diseases

The present disclosure relates to pharmaceutical compositions with increased skin permeability for treating ear disease in mammals. Disclosed pharmaceutical compositions are prepared as topical gels or as transdermal gels. The pharmaceutical compositions reduce ear inflammation and irritation produced by ear diseases or injuries (e.g., cauliflower ear, chronic otitis, and the like). The pharmaceutical compositions include a synergistic combination of pracaxi oil and seje oil. Additionally, the pharmaceutical compositions include phosphatidylcholine as a permeation enhancer. The combination of aforementioned natural components exhibits enhanced healing properties, thereby providing organic acids with antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. The synergistic combination of pracaxi and seje oil increases the skin permeability to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), thereby passing through the stratum corneum and reaching the target area; therefore, the dosage and time of treatment is significantly reduced.

Compositions based on propolis nanocapsules which can be used as carriers for substances of interest, methods for producing same and use thereof

A process for obtaining compositions constituted by propolis nanoparticles is disclosed. The nanoparticles are optionally associated to a substance of interest such as active ingredients, and, optionally, substances of secondary effect such as synergists and adjuvants. The process includes preparing a fraction A, which consists of propolis extract dissolved in an organic solvent, to which stabilizer and/or emulsifier may be added, and, optionally, substances of interest and/or of secondary effect; ii) preparing a fraction B, aqueous phase, constituted by: (ii.1) water; or (ii.2) an aqueous solution or dispersion, to which stabilizer and/or emulsifier may be added; (iii) dropping the fraction A onto the fraction B or vice versa; iv) homogenizing the mixture by stirring and spontaneous formation of nanoparticles with average size from 1 to 1000 nm in a dispersion; and v) optionally (v-1) removing organic solvent and/or (v-2) drying the nanodispersion.

A PROCESS FOR EXTRACTION AND SEPARATION OF OXYRESVERATROL FROM ARTOCARPUS LAKOOCHA ROXB

The present invention relates to a process for separation of oxyresveratrol molecule from the extracted solution of Artocarpus lakoocha Roxb. through membrane application. The product can be obtained in excellent yield upto 81% in case of extraction using water as solvent and can be separated from the extracted mixture upto 98% using indigenously developed nanofiltration membrane. Only the desired Trans isomer is obtained and no cis isomerisation takes place during the extraction process.

Feed supplement

The present invention relates to a feed supplement or a food supplement which comprises a resin acid based composition comprising over 10% (w/w) resin acids for use in in the prevention of intestinal disorders. The invention further relates to a use of the feed supplement or the food supplement and a feed composition or a food composition comprising the feed supplement or the food supplement, respectively.

Production of biomass in ultra high density plantations

The present application relates to methods for the production of plant material suitable for the extraction and purification of saponins, through plantations of clone plants of defined chemotype, including ultrahigh density plantations of Quillaja saponaria Molina, and methods to increase the recovery of saponins by solid/liquid extraction of the harvested plant material.

Edible product comprising reconstituted plant material

The present invention relates to an edible product, which comprises a fibrous plant product and a plant extract applied thereto. Further, the invention relates to a corresponding method for producing said edible product and its use in at least one of food, food supplement, medicinal, cosmetic, well-being, nutraceutical or phytotherapeutical applications. The plants used may be all plants comprising one or more substances of interest for an edible product.
