IBAT INHIBITORS FOR THE TREATMENT OF LIVER DISEASES
The present invention regards specific IBAT inhibitors useful in the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a liver disease. It also relates to compositions comprising these IBAT inhibitors, a method for treatment of the disorders and a kit comprising the substances or the compositions.
Method of treating cancer using selective estrogen receptor modulators
Disclosed herein are methods of treating subjects suffering from estrogen receptor positive cancer of the brain by administering a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERM). Also disclosed are methods of treating a cancer that is resistant to an estrogen receptor modulator by administering a SERM.
Porous silicate/magnetic ferrite nanocarrier for combination anti-cancer therapeutic and antioxidant delivery
A nanomedicinal composition comprising a nanocarrier and a pharmaceutical agent mixture comprising an anti-cancer therapeutic and an antioxidant. The nanocarrier comprises a porous silicate matrix and particles of a magnetic ferrite disposed in the pores of the porous silicate matrix. The pharmaceutical agent mixture is disposed in the pores and/or on the surface of the nanocarrier by a solution phase impregnation process. The nanomedicinal composition is used in a method of treating breast cancer.
PET tracer for imaging of neuroendocrine tumors
There is provided a radiolabelled peptide-based compound for diagnostic imaging using positron emission tomography (PET). The compound may thus be used for diagnosis of malignant diseases. The compound is particularly useful for imaging of somatostatin overexpression in tumors, wherein the compound is capable of being imaged by PET when administered with a target dose in the range of 150-350 MBq, such as 150-250 MBq, preferable in the range of 191-210 MBq.
Targeting Microbubbles
This invention related to manufactured microbubbles, as well as methods of using manufactured microbubbles, for example, in medicinal applications. The invention pertains to the physical structure and materials of the microbubbles, as well as to methods for manufacturing microbubbles, methods for targeting microbubbles for specific medicinal applications, and methods for delivering microbubbles in medical treatment.
TFPI inhibitors and methods of use
The invention provides peptides that bind Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor (TFPI), including TFPI-inhibitory peptides, and compositions thereof. The peptides may be used to inhibit a TFPI, enhance thrombin formation in a clotting factor-deficient subject, increase blood clot formation in a subject, treat a blood coagulation disorder in a subject, purify TFPI, an identify a TFPI-binding compound.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INHIBITING THE ACTIVITY OF LAR FAMILY PHOSPHATASES
A method of inhibiting and/or reducing the activity, signaling, and/or function of leukocyte-common antigen related (LAR) family of phosphatases in a cell of a subject induced by proteoglycans includes administering to the cell a therapeutic agent that inhibits one or more of catalytic activity, signaling, and function of the LAR family phosphatases without inhibiting binding to or activation the LAR family phosphatases by the proteoglycans.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR INCREASING UPTAKE, INTERNALIZATION, AND/OR RETENTION OF SMALL MOLECULE LIGANDS
The present application relates to methods of treating and imaging cancer. The methods involve providing a first agent comprising a first targeting component coupled to a cancer therapeutic component or an imaging component and providing a second agent comprising a second targeting component alone, wherein the second targeting component increases the uptake, internalization, and/or retention of the first targeting component coupled to a cancer therapeutic component or imaging component. The first and second agents are then administered to a subject having cancer to treat cancer. Also disclosed is a combination therapeutic or a combination imaging system, each comprising the first and second agents.

The present invention relates to novel peptides derived from various target proteins, complexes comprising such peptides bound to recombinant MHC molecules, and cells presenting said peptide in complex with MHC molecules. Also provided by the present invention are binding moieties that bind to the peptides and/or complexes of the invention. Such moieties are useful for the development of immunotherapeutic reagents for the treatment of diseases such as cancer.
SMALL MOLECULE ALBUMIN BINDERS
Compounds are described having albumin binding groups, where said compounds can be complexed with therapeutic and/or diagnostic agents and further can include targeting functionality. When introduced into the circulatory system the compounds and complexes bind serum albumin, and thereby exhibit useful properties including enhanced circulatory half-life, improved uptake by target tissues, and improved target/nontarget ratios. These properties make the compounds and complexes useful in therapeutic and diagnostic methods.
