METHODS TO REFINE CANNABINOIDS
This disclosure generally relates to gas-phase methods to simultaneously purify and decarboxylate cannabinoids in about two seconds, which are about 100-10,000 times more efficient than conventional purification and decarboxylation strategies. The methods also recover thermolabile cannabinoids such as cannabigerol at significantly higher yields than conventional methods.
Aqueous extraction of psychoactive compounds from psilocybin fungus
This invention relates to the extraction of psychoactive compounds from psilocybin fungus for use in medicine. Raw psilocybin fungus is dried and ground. The solvent used for extraction is a lower aliphatic alcohol, water, a hydro-alcohol mixture, an acidic hydro-alcohol mixture, or an alkaline hydro-alcohol mixture. The extraction slurry is filtered and pH-adjusted if necessary. The solvent is then partially evaporated, or completely evaporated with water added back, to form a concentrated slurry. The concentrated slurry is then standardized to provide a known concentration of the psychoactive alkaloids that have been extracted. The standardized slurry may then be dried to result in a powdered psilocybin mushroom extract with a precisely defined purity.
THE USE OF UNRIPENED GREEN MANGIFERA INDICA AS A NATURAL PREPARATION TO TREAT SARS-COV-2
The present disclosure provides a method for an effective decoction preparation of unripe green Mangifera indica to treat and prevent anti-SARS-CoV-2. The disclosure extends to uses of such preparation as medicaments and to methods of treating anti-SARS-CoV-2 infections, and tolerating the vaccine side-effects. The disclosure further extends to methods for preventing anti-SARS-CoV-2 infections by coating objects and surfaces with the compositions.
FRUIT AND VEGETABLE POMACE COMPOSITION AND USE AS BLOOD GLUCOSE MODULATOR AND ANTI-DIABETIC AGENT
Methods of improving mammalian carbohydrate metabolism and treating, preventing, or halting the progression of type 2 diabetes mellitus involve the consumption of a nutritional composition containing fruit or vegetable pomace. The pomace is produced from native plant tissue and contains a mixture of soluble and insoluble fiber. Periodic consumption of the composition normalizes blood glucose concentration and controls body weight.
FULL SPECTRUM HEMP OIL COMPOSITIONS
A composition comprising a cannabidiol at least one compound selected from the group consisting of cannabichromenes, cannabicyclols, cannabidiols, cannabielsoins, cannabigerols, cannabinols, cannabinodiols, cannabitriols, delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinols, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinols, or any combination thereof; and a terpene. A nanoemulsion comprising a cannabidiol; a terpene; and an aqueous fluid, wherein the cannabidiol and terpene are in an emulsion in the aqueous fluid. A full spectrum hemp oil composition comprising at least one stereoisomer of tetrahydrocannabinol; cannabinodiol; and at least one cannabinoid selected from the group consisting of cannabichromenes, cannabicyclols, cannabidiols, cannabielsoins, cannabigerols, cannabinols, cannabinodiols, cannabitriols, and a combination thereof.
ANTIVIRAL COMPOSITION BASED ON EXTRACTS OF DURVILLAEA ANTARCTICA USEFUL FOR TREATING LESIONS CAUSED BY ALPHAHERPESVIRINAE VIRUS
Composition with antiviral activity comprising water-soluble extracts of Durvillaea antarctica substantially free of alginates and a carrier or vehicle, and the method of obtaining it. Where this composition serves to prepare an antiviral drug of topical application, to prevent or treat skin or oral lesions caused by herpes viruses of the subfamily Alphahehrpesvirinae, such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) and varicella zoster virus (VZV), resistant or not to acyclovir (ACV).
Pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating muscle diseases, containing ginseng berry extract as active ingredient
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of muscle disease comprising a Panax ginseng berry extract as an active ingredient. The composition of the present invention alleviates the decrease in muscle weight and muscle fiber cross-sectional area caused by muscle atrophy, and reduces the increase in expression of MuRF-1 (Muscle RING-finger protein-1) and atrogin-1, which are involved in proteolysis of muscle proteins, so that it can be effectively used to prevent, ameliorate or treat muscle disease.
Kapok tree flower extract, and cosmetic, pharmaceutical or dermatological compositions containing same
The invention relates to an extract of flowers, preferably calyxes, from kapok trees, in particular Bombax costatum, to a process for preparing same and to the extract obtainable by said process. The invention also relates to a composition comprising such an extract, the composition being advantageously a cosmetic, pharmaceutical or dermatological composition. The invention also relates to such a composition or such an extract for use in preventing or treating disorders or diseases of the skin, the mucous membranes or keratinous appendages and for use in preventing or treating vascular disorders. The invention finally relates to a cosmetic care process for the skin, the keratinous appendages or the mucous membranes, with a view to improving the condition thereof or the appearance thereof, which process consists in administering such a composition or such an extract.
SOLVENTS, METHODS, AND SYSTEMS FOR ISOLATING BOTANICAL EXTRACTS FROM PLANTS
The present invention provides improved solvents, methods, and systems for isolating purified cannabinoids from various sources. It has been found that C.sub.9 to C.sub.11 non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, and especially n-decane, work surprisingly well for crystallization of cannabinoids such as cannabidiol. Some variations provide a method of isolating cannabinoids from a cannabinoid-containing solution, comprising contacting the solution with a C.sub.9-C.sub.11 non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent (e.g., n-decane) at a first temperature, to generate a mixture; cooling the mixture to precipitate cannabinoids; and isolating the precipitated cannabinoids. Other variations provide a method of isolating cannabinoids from a cannabinoid-containing solution, comprising contacting the solution with a C.sub.9-C.sub.11 non-aromatic hydrocarbon solvent (e.g., n-decane) at a first temperature below the solvent boiling point, to generate a mixture; subjecting the mixture to a second temperature that causes vaporization of the solvent, to precipitate at least some of the cannabinoids; and isolating the precipitated cannabinoids.
Method for preventing or treating thrombosis
Disclosed is a method for preventing or treating thrombosis, the method comprising administering a composition containing a hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) leaf or flower extract as an active ingredient. The hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) leaf or flower extract inhibits thrombus formation-related enzymes and coagulation factors and exhibits potent antithrombotic activity through inhibitory activity against platelet aggregation which triggers blood clotting, but with no lytic activity on human erythrocytes. In addition to being stable to heat, the extract does not lose the inhibitory activity against coagulation factors and thrombus formation-related enzymes even in the acidic condition of pH 2 and the plasma environment. Therefore, the extract is expected to find applications in preventing and treating thrombosis such as ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke through blood circulation improvement.
