Robotic mowing of separated lawn areas
A method of mowing multiple areas includes training a robotic mower to mow at least two areas separated by a space, including moving the robotic mower about the areas while storing data indicative of location of boundaries of each area relative to boundary markers, training the robotic mower to move across the space separating the areas, and initiating a mowing operation. Training the robotic mower to move across the space separating the areas includes moving the robotic mower to a traversal launch point of a first of the areas and moving the robotic mower to a traversal landing point of a second of the areas. The mowing operation causes the robotic mower to move to the traversal launch point, move from the traversal launch point across the space to the traversal landing point, and then mow the second of the areas.
Robotic lawn mower including removable rechargeable battery module
A robotic lawn mower includes a first wheel driven by a first electric wheel motor, a second wheel driven by a second electric wheel motor, a cutting implement driven by an electric cutting implement motor, a power system for powering the electric wheel motors and the electric cutting implement motor, and a controller configured to control operation of the electric wheel motors and the electric cutting implement motor to autonomously mow a yard. The power system includes multiple removable rechargeable battery modules and multiple receptacles, each receptacle configured to receive one of the battery modules.
Integrated park brake system for a riding lawn care vehicle
A riding lawn care vehicle may include a frame, a steering assembly, a first brake assembly, and a first biasing assembly. A first drive wheel and a second drive wheel of the riding lawn care vehicle are operably coupled to the frame. The steering assembly includes a first steering lever and a second steering lever. The first and second steering levers are operably coupled to corresponding ones of the first and second drive wheels via a first hydraulic motor and a second hydraulic motor, respectively, to facilitate turning of the riding lawn care vehicle based on drive speed control of the first and second drive wheels responsive to positioning of the first and second steering levers to control the first and second hydraulic motors. The first brake assembly is operably coupled to the first hydraulic motor to enable a braking force to be selectively applied to a motor shaft of the first hydraulic motor responsive to movement of the first steering lever from an inboard position to an outboard position. The first biasing assembly is configured to positively assist movement of the first steering lever between the inboard and outboard positions in both directions.
Independent doffer drive system for a cotton harvester row unit
A doffer assembly for a cotton harvester having at least one drum and a spindle. The doffer assembly includes an outer housing and a plurality of doffers adapted to remove cotton from the spindle. The assembly further includes a drive unit coupled to the outer housing for rotatably driving the plurality of doffers independently of at least one drum and spindle. A drive shaft is rotatably driven by the drive unit, and an interface adapter is coupled between the drive shaft and the plurality of doffers. The drive unit may be an electric motor, hydraulic motor, a mechanical drive system, or a combination thereof.
Lawn mower
A lawn mower including a housing; a walking mechanism, supporting the housing and driving the housing to move, and including at least one drive wheel; at least one motor to drive the at least one drive wheel to rotate; and a control apparatus, preset with a first and a second torque threshold. And when the motor is switched from a stopped state to a running state, the control apparatus controls a difference between a maximum operating output torque of the motor and the first threshold to be within a predetermined range, when the motor is in the running state, the control apparatus controls an operating output torque of the at least one motor to at most increase to the second threshold, the first threshold is less than or equal to a maximum output torque of the motor, and the second threshold is less than the first threshold.
Grass trimming head and grass trimmer having the same
A grass trimming head includes a housing assembly and a spool. The housing assembly is formed with a housing cavity and an outer aperture for allowing a cutting line to be inserted from an outside of the housing assembly into the housing cavity. At least a portion of the spool is arranged inside the housing cavity, and the spool is rotatable with respect to the housing assembly about a central axis. The spool is formed with an inner aperture for allowing the cutting line to be inserted into the spool or a clamping portion configured to fix the cutting line.
Garden tool
A garden tool, including a main body, a walking wheel mounted on the main body and a control panel disposed on the main body. The control panel includes a main blade control assembly. The main blade control assembly includes a main blade button and a main blade pull rod. When starting the garden tool, the two actions of starting the main blade button and starting the main blade pull rod can be performed at intervals, but it needs to be completed within a certain time. The starting of the garden tool is completed in a short time by separately controlling the main blade button and the main blade pull rod, thereby ensuring the simplicity of operation and the safety of operation.
Adjustable seat assembly for a lawn maintenance vehicle
A lawn maintenance vehicle includes an adjustable seat assembly, wherein the seat assembly is rotatable relative to a frame of the vehicle when the vehicle is operated on a sloped surface. The seat assembly is rotatable in order to maintain the operator in a substantially vertical seated alignment while operating the vehicle on a sloped surface. The seat assembly is also rotatable when the vehicle is in a zero-turn or tight-turn maneuver, wherein the seat is rotated toward the center of turning radius to offset the centrifugal forces experienced by the operator during such a maneuver.
Shutter assembly for a lawnmower, lawnmower having same, and convertible lawnmower
A shutter assembly for a lawnmower includes a steel cutter housing, a shutter, and a lever. The cutter housing can include a cutter housing slot passing through the cutter housing. The shutter can be rotatably attached to the cutter housing so as to be movable between: a first shutter position in which a blocking panel of the shutter is positioned such that the blocking panel opens the discharge opening; and a second shutter position in which the blocking panel is positioned such that the blocking panel closes the discharge opening, and the second shutter position corresponds to a mulching position. The lever can be attached to the shutter and can extend through the cutter housing slot. The cutter housing slot can be configured to limit movement of the lever such that a range of motion of the blocking panel extends from the first shutter position to the second shutter position.
Lawn mower having a maintenance tool for maintaining a cutting blade
A lawn mower includes: a rotation shaft coupled to a power source and extending in an approximately vertical direction; a blade configured to rotate integrally with the rotation shaft; and a housing having a downward opening and accommodating the blade such that the blade is rotatable; and a maintenance tool provided on the housing, the maintenance tool being contactable with the blade from the above. A cutting portion of the blade is capable of moving between a maintenance position at which the cutting portion is contactable with the maintenance tool and an operating position at which the cutting portion mows a lawn.
