POWER EQUIPMENT MACHINE WITH FOOT PEDAL STEERING AND SPEED CONTROLS
An outdoor power equipment with steering and/or speed controlled via foot-based inputs is discussed. One example embodiment is an outdoor power equipment, comprising: a frame; a plurality of drive elements coupled to the frame; a prime mover configured to provide power to the plurality of drive elements; one or more controls configured to receive foot-based inputs from an operator of the outdoor power equipment; and a control system configured to control a steering and a speed of the outdoor power equipment based on the foot-based inputs. Various foot-based embodiments and control systems can be employed based on the embodiment.
Electric motor for outdoor power equipment
A lawn mower includes a chassis, a cutting deck, a chore motor, and a blade. The chassis supports several wheels. The cutting deck is supported by the chassis and defines a cutting chamber. The chore motor is electrically coupled to the battery. The chore motor includes a housing containing a coil assembly, a rotor, and a drive shaft extending out of the housing. The chore motor is attached to the cutting deck so that at least a portion of the housing and the drive shaft are positioned within the cutting chamber. The blade is coupled to the drive shaft and is configured to rotate within the cutting chamber when the chore motor rotates the rotor and drive shaft.
Lawn striping mechanism
A lawn care device including a mobile support apparatus, a grass cutting mechanism coupled to the mobile support apparatus and a lawn striping device coupled to the mobile support apparatus. The lawn striping device has a grass contacting member and at least one torsional restraining device coupled to the mobile support apparatus. The torsional restraining device is coupled to the grass contacting member. The torsional restraining device allowing a restrained pivoting of the grass contacting member relative to the mobile support apparatus.
Grounds maintenance vehicle with adjustable suspension system
Suspension systems and grounds maintenance vehicles incorporating the same are disclosed. The suspension system may include biasing elements or springs that may be adjusted to vary the preload and thus change the spring and dampening characteristics of the suspension system. In some embodiments, the system may include an adjustment mechanism that permits simultaneous adjustment of two springs via a single action. In other embodiments, features adapted to assist an operator with mounting/dismounting the vehicle are disclosed.
Autonomous traveling work machine
To make it possible to correct a current position detected by an autonomous traveling work machine to the correct position with a simple configuration. A robot lawn mower includes a first position detecting unit for detecting a current position by using odometry and a second position detecting unit for detecting a current position by using an image capture. When position detection accuracy of both of the first and second position detecting units decreases to less than or equal to a predetermined value, the robot lawn mower is controlled to travel to either of zones Z1 and Z2 in which the position detection accuracy of the second position detecting unit is relatively high, and when the robot lawn mower moves to either of the zones Z1 and Z2, a current position used for autonomous traveling is corrected to the current position detected by the second position detecting unit.
Mower
There are included front and back slope portions attachable to and detachable from storage positions and use positions, front and back holding portions capable of engaging with engagement portions of the front and back slope portions as attached to the storage positions and holding the front and back slope portions at the storage positions, and a disengaging operation tool capable of being manually operated to a disengaging position at which the front holding portion and the back holding portion are releasable from the engagement portions of the front and back slope portions and at which the slope portions are detachable from the storage positions.
Systems, devices, and/or methods for groundskeeping
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a system comprising a zero turn riding lawnmower. The zero turn riding lawnmower is steerable solely via a first foot pedal and a second foot pedal. Each of the first foot pedal and the second foot pedal coupled to a mower linkage of the zero turn riding lawnmower. The first foot pedal is constructed to cause at least one wheel on a first side the zero turn riding lawnmower to be powered in a forward direction or a reverse direction. The second foot pedal is constructed to cause at least one wheel on a second side the zero turn riding lawnmower to be powered in a forward or reverse direction.
MOBILE ROBOT SYSTEM AND BOUNDARY INFORMATION GENERATION METHOD FOR MOBILE ROBOT SYSTEM
The present specification relates to a mobile robot system and a boundary information generation method for the mobile robot system, the mobile robot system comprising a signal processing device that comprises a receiving tag for receiving a transmission signal and a distance sensor, so as to recognize coordinate information about a spot at which the point of the distance sensor is designated on the basis of the reception result of the receiving tag and the distance measurement result of the distance sensor, thereby generating boundary information according to the path designated as the point of the distance sensor on the basis of the recognized coordinate information.
LAWN MOWER AND ASSOCIATED ATTACHMENT
Lawn mowers and attachments for lawn mowers are provided. An attachment includes a body including one or more sidewalls defining an internal volume configured to receive clippings from the lawn mower, wherein the body defines an opening; and a cover coupled to the body at the opening and moveable between an open position, whereby the opening is open, and a closed position, whereby the opening is closed, wherein the cover is selectively lockable in the open position, and wherein the cover is biased to the closed position by a spring.
Adjustable handle assembly for a walk-behind mower
A handle adjustment assembly is attached to a walk-behind lawn mower, wherein the handle adjustment assembly is rotatably adjustable relative to a deck of the mower to allow the handle to be adjusted to multiple different heights relative to the ground at distinct operative positions. The handle adjustment assembly is also rotatable to allow the handle to be adjusted to a stored position adjacent to the deck, wherein the mower can be stored in a substantially vertical orientation.
