A lighting apparatus for bacterial, fungal and viral disinfection is provided comprising: at least one first element that emits light comprising a peak emission wavelength between at least about 411 nm to up to 419 nm; and at least one second element that outputs and/or converts at least a portion of the light emitted by the first element.

High humidity ozone gas treatment
11470863 · 2022-10-18 ·

Systems and methods for providing high humidity ozone gas. Systems and methods for applying high humidity ozone gas to foodstuffs and/or other products as an antimicrobial treatment. Compressed air and dry ozone gas are combined, thereby providing a dry mix. A portion of the dry mix can be humidified in a humidifying chamber, thereby providing a wet mix. The wet mix can be combined with a portion of the dry mix, thereby providing humid ozonated air. The humid ozonated air can be applied to foodstuffs such as produce, as an antimicrobial treatment, as the foodstuffs are conveyed.

Process for producing a stable low concentration, injectable solution of noradrenaline

In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a process for producing a stable, injectable solution with low content of noradrenaline, which includes dissolving noradrenaline and optionally an excipient in deoxygenated or degassed water, filtrating the resulting noradrenaline solution in a nitrogen current, distributing the solution in a nitrogen current, and sterilization, preferably hot. The invention further provides a stable, injectable solution with low content of noradrenaline, substantially free of anti-oxidizing and preservative agents, as well as uses thereof in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.

Gas treatment delivery systems and methods

The present disclosure provides apparatuses and systems for delivering a measureable absorbed-dose of a gaseous activating agent to a fluid including a biological liquid and/or cells. The apparatuses or systems include a gas-fluid contact device configured to controllably rotate or oscillate a control member having an interior surface in contact with the fluid and a control system configured to control rotation or oscillation of the contact member by the gas-fluid contact device. In some embodiments, the control system is further configured to control absorption of the gaseous activating agent by the fluid. The present disclosure also provides methods of treating a fluid including a biological liquid or cells with a gaseous activating agent to controllably activate the fluid.

Device for increased ultraviolet exposure of fluids
11633508 · 2023-04-25 · ·

A device for increased ultraviolet exposure of fluids. The device includes at least one photonic source for generating and emitting photonic energy in a wavelength or in a range of wavelengths of visible light. The device also includes a lens formed of a fluoropolymer material wherein the at least one photonic source is sealed within an interior and underneath an outer surface of the fluoropolymer material so as to be surrounded by the fluoropolymer material. The at least one photonic source is coupled with the lens such that the photonic energy emitting from the at least one photonic source transmits through and projects beyond the fluoropolymer material. The lens propagates photons in an omnidirectional pattern simultaneously throughout the entirety of the lens. The joining of the at least one photonic source and the fluoropolymer material comprises all components for generating and emitting photonic energy when the photonic source is activated, such that it is an operable source. The operable source is submerged within a containment vessel which holds the fluids to be sanitized by the operable source. The fluid within the system are exposed to the photonic energy within the device for an extended period of time to effectively destroy pathogens and sanitize the target fluids.

Device and method for generating a plasma jet

The invention relates to a device (10) for generating a plasma jet (P) comprising a first conduit (11) inside a second conduit (12), a first electrode (17) and a second electrode (18) for generating an electric field in a feed gas flow (F) provided in a first flow channel (15) to generate a plasma jet (P), and adapted to provide a curtain gas flow (C) in the space between the first and second conduit (11,12), wherein the first electrode (17) is positioned radially outside of the first flow channel (15), and wherein the radial distance of the second electrode (18) from a longitudinal axis (I) is larger than the radial distance of the first electrode (17) from said longitudinal axis (1). The invention further relates to an endoscope comprising a device (10), a method for generating a plasma jet (P), a method and a use of the device (10) for manipulating a cavity.

Antimicrobial peptide stimulating cleansing composition

A topical cleansing composition for stimulating the production of antimicrobial peptides on the skin is disclosed. The topical cleansing composition includes an active ingredient comprising one or more of a natural extract and a polypeptide; one or more surfactants; and water. The topical cleansing composition increases the concentration of antimicrobial peptides on skin, as compared to an otherwise identical topical composition without the active ingredient.
