PERSONALIZED ASSISTANCE SYSTEM FOR USER OF VISION CORRECTION DEVICE
20210193278 · 2021-06-24 ·

A personalized assistance system for a user of a vision correction device includes a remote computing unit with a controller having a processor and tangible, non-transitory memory on which instructions are recorded. The controller is configured to selectively execute one or more machine learning models. A user device is operable by the user and includes an electronic diary module configured to prompt the user to answer one or more preselected questions at specific intervals. The electronic diary module is configured to store respective answers, entered by the user in response to the one or more preselected questions, as self-reported data. The controller is configured to obtain the self-reported data from the electronic diary module and generate an analysis of the self-reported data, via the one or more machine learning models. The controller is configured to assist the user based in part on the analysis.

Systems and methods for cleaning a hard-coated ophthalmic lens and stripping the hard-coating of the hard coated ophthalmic lens in a single pass process are disclosed. The hard-coated ophthalmic lens is sequentially treated with a cleaning solution, an alkaline solution, and a stripping solution. Ultrasonic power is applied to the solutions and the ophthalmic lens during the process. The resulted ophthalmic lens has substantially no sign of chemical attack or residual hard coating or varnishes thereon.

PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR STERILIZING GAS FILTRATION MEANS, IN PARTICULAR BLOWING AIR

Disclosed is a process and a device for sterilizing gas filtration unit, characterized in that the sterilization process includes at least: an application step consisting in circulating, through the gas filtration unit, a gas mixture including hot air and a determined amount of hydrogen peroxide vapor, in which the determined amount of hydrogen peroxide vapor is obtained by sequentially injecting, with a given time interval (t) between two successive injections, a given dose of hydrogen peroxide in the liquid state into the hot air; anda sterilization step consisting, during the time interval (t), in circulating hot air through the filtration unit in order to eliminate, by evaporation, all or some of the hydrogen peroxide deposited on the filtration unit during the application step.

AN INSTRUMENT CASSETTE FOR HANDLING INSTRUMENTS
20200129653 · 2020-04-30 ·

An instrument cassette (100) for handling instruments (111) comprises support structures (101) for mechanically supporting the instruments (111), and a shielding structure (102, 103) for containing operational portions (112) of the instruments (111) so that a risk of unintentional touching the operational portions (112) is reduced. At least one wall (104) of the shielding structure (103) comprises channels (105) for allowing liquid and gaseous substances to flow through the wall. The substances may comprise for example hot vapor used in an autoclaving sterilization process. The channels (105) are shaped to prevent the operational portions (112) of the instruments (111) from protruding through the wall (104) via the channels (105). Thus, there is no need for a high number of very small channels which may be difficult to manufacture in a cost effective way.
