An agricultural baler has a shaft, and a flywheel connected to the shaft, and a brake system for holding or for stopping the flywheel. The brake system may be of at least one of the drum-type and of the caliper-type. The caliper-type has a brake disc and a brake caliper. The brake disc may be mounted on the flywheel, or on the shaft. The brake system may have an adjustable braking force. The disc brake may be manually or hydraulically activated. The brake system may be remotely activated from a tractor.

BALER IMPLEMENT AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING A ROUND BALER
A baler implement includes a bale formation system operable to form crop material into a bale and eject the bale into an unloading zone. An object detection sensor is positioned to detect data related to the unloading zone. A baler controller is operable to determine if an object is present in the unloading zone or if an object is not present in the unloading zone based on a data signal from the object detection sensor. When an object is not present in the unloading zone, the controller may initiate the bale ejection sequence to eject the bale. When an object is present in the unloading zone, the controller may prevent initiation of the bale ejection sequence to prevent ejection of the bale onto the object.
BALER IMPLEMENT AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING A ROUND BALER
A baler implement includes a bale formation system operable to form crop material into a bale and eject the bale into an unloading zone. An agricultural baler includes a plunger reciprocally movable within a main bale chamber during a compression stroke and a return stroke, a flywheel associated with the plunger, and a driveline associated with the flywheel and couplable with a power take-off (PTO) of a traction unit. The baler further includes an APS coupled with the driveline and configured for receiving power from the driveline and storing the power. A PTO indicator provides an output signal indicative of an engagement of the PTO. An electrical processing circuit is coupled with the APS and the PTO indicator, and controls operation of the APS, dependent on the output signal from the PTO indicator.
Auxiliary power system for an agricultural baler with mechanical flywheel braking

A round baler with a bale wrapper is described wherein the bale wrapper includes a bale wrapping unit rotating about a vertical axis of rotation and having rotation arms which extend parallel to the axis of rotation and which support reels of wrapping material guided within an action region of the bale wrapping unit extending transversely and longitudinally to the axis of rotation, wherein a delimiting rod linkage is arranged on the round baler or on the bale wrapper and extends at the back of the round baler and is capable of pivoting from an upper position into a lower position and vice versa, and with which in the lower position an area of the action region of the bale wrapping unit placed at the back of the round baler is demarcated horizontally.

An agricultural baler has a shaft, a flywheel connected to the shaft, and a disc brake system including a brake disc with a toothed rim for engaging with an auxiliary motor. The brake disc may be directly mounted on the flywheel. The baler may have a brake controller for controlling the disc brake system, and a motor controller for controlling the auxiliary motor, or an integrated baler controller for controlling both. The auxiliary motor may be arranged for rotating the flywheel forward or backwards.
