Systems for a digital showroom with virtual reality and augmented reality
A system allows a user to select designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. The previews provide photorealistic visualizations in two or three dimensions, and can be presented on a computer display, projected on a screen, or presented in virtual reality (e.g., via headset), or augmented reality. The system can also include a projection system that projects the new designs onto garments on mannequins in a showroom. The garments and the new designs projected onto the garments have a three-dimensional appearance as if the garments having the new designs are worn by people. Software and lasers are used in finishing the garments to produce garments with the new designs and the finished garments have an appearance of the three-dimensional appearance of the garments and new designs on the mannequins with the new designs projected onto the garments by the projection system.
AI-based system including dress form creation
An artificially-intelligent body size and body shape identification system is provided. The system may include a graphical user interface (“GUI”). The GUI may display a plurality of body shapes. The GUI may also receive a selection of one of a plurality of body shapes. The selection may indicate that a body corresponds to the selected body shape. The GUI may receive measurement information including: a height measurement, a weight measurement, a bra cup size, a bra length size relating to the body. The system may include an artificially-intelligent, sizing application. The application may receive the measurement information and the selected body shape. The application may identify one or more combinations of one or more body shapes and one or more body sizes that correspond to the body. The GUI may display the one or more combinations. The GUI may receive a selection of one of the combinations.
Technique to Change Garments Within an Existing Image
A system automatically generates apparel collection imagery from user-provided imagery. The user-provided imagery includes images of people wearing one or more garments. The system uses segmenting analysis to analyze the user-provided image to identify locations of the garment. From the locations of the garments, the system can determine which garments from an apparel collection can be used to replace those in the user-provided imagery. The system uses pose estimation on the user-provided imagery and modifies a preview image of a replacement garment from the collection. This modified replacement garment image is used to replace the garment in the user-provided imagery.
Online ordering and just-in-time manufacturing of laser-finished garments
An on-demand manufacturing of apparel system includes online customization and ordering of garments, previewing of the garments, manufacturing including laser finishing of garments, and delivery to the customer. Laser finishing of apparel products reduces finishing cost, lowers carrying costs, increases productivity, shortens time to market, be more reactive to trends, reduces product constraints, reduces lost sales and dilution, and more. Fabric templates can be used to produce a multitude of laser finishes. Operational efficiency is improved.
AUTOMATED INSPECTION MEASUREMENT IN GARMENT MANUFACTURING
A system for inspecting and validating processes performed on a continuous web of fabric in an automated apparel manufacturing environment. The continuous web of fabric can move in a step wise fashion across a work area where tooling can perform one or more processes on the continuous web of fabric. At least one projector is provided to display an image onto the continuous web of fabric the image including a first image related to an article to be manufactured and a second image related to a reference grid. The continuous web of fabric and the first and second images are viewed by a camera, and data related to the viewed first and second images and the continuous web of fabric can be sent to a computer implemented control center which can analyze the data to determine whether a deviation or error exists regarding the manufacturing process.
Garment pattern optimization system and method
According to an embodiment, the invention relates to a computer implemented method for grading a pattern from a first size to a second size, the pattern comprising one or more panels, the method comprising the steps of a representation step comprising representing each panel of the one or more panels by a contour, wherein a contour comprises one or more segments, a constraint step comprising imposing constraints on segments for grading to the second size; generating a mesh of each panel of the one or more panels thereby obtaining a first set of meshes; combining the first set of meshes with the constraints into a system of equations; solving the system of equations into a second set of meshes, wherein the contours of the second meshes correspond to the pattern in the second size and representing the contours of the second set of meshes.
SYSTEM FOR MANUFACTURING UNDERWEAR CUSTOMIZED FOR CUSTOMER
A system for manufacturing underwear customized for a customer may generate a 3D body shape of a customer by 3D scanning; calculate, from the 3D body shape, unique body measurement information for each customer, needed for manufacturing customized underwear, and register the information; and then, if a customized purchase request for underwear is received from the customer, generate, for the target underwear requested for purchase, a design that fits the body shape of the customer on the basis of the registered body measurement information for each customer; and thereby maximize customer satisfaction and reduce an inventory.
Pattern filling in garment pieces
In implementations of pattern filling in garment pieces, a pattern filling system represents a first garment piece as a first curve and a second garment piece as a second curve. The system determines a relationship between the first garment piece and the second garment piece by comparing the first curve and the second curve. The pattern filling system generates a visually pleasing fill pattern for the first garment piece and the second garment piece based on the determined relationship.
GARMENT DESIGN GENERATION METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND INTEGRATED APPLICATION PROGRAM THEREFOR
Disclosed are a method and a system for creating garment design and an integrated application program for the same. Program modules for works such as making garment flat sketches (2D design), patterns and work orders, and performing 3D drape simulations, etc. are implemented as one integrated software package and can be made into one executable file. With the software package, garment patterns can be created in a parametric design manner. Parametric garment patterns can be imported to be performed 3D drape simulation on a 3D human model, and the size and shape of the patterns can be modified if necessary. The modification history of the patterns is stored separately, and even if the size of the pattern is changed, a pattern in which the modification history is reflected can be automatically generated. By using this integrated software package, all tasks necessary for 2D flat sketch drawing, patterning, 3D drape simulation, and work order production can be performed in an integrated manner with interconnection with each other. The resultant data of the design work may be stored and managed to have association with each other. A work result in each stage can be used as it is in the work in other stages, and collaboration between relevant parties is possible, which greatly increases the overall efficiency and productivity of the garment design work.
DESIGNING GARMENT USING STYLE LINE
According to an example embodiment, a method and an apparatus for simulating a garment may receive, through a user interface expressing a three-dimensional (3D) garment, an input of deforming at least one style line among a plurality of style lines representing a style of the 3D garment, identify a first line corresponding to the style line among a plurality of lines included in a two-dimensional (2D) pattern corresponding to the 3D garment, deform the first line based on the input, deform the 2D pattern by propagating deformation of the first line to candidate lines associated with the first line, and output at least one of the deformed 2D pattern and the 3D garment in which the style line is deformed based on the deformed 2D pattern.
