Handling medication receptacles by pharmaceutical dispensing system and method
A medication dispensing system, having a medication panel, a plurality of docking ports for accommodating medication containers, a gripper, and a receptacle carrier having a mount for holding the receptacle and movable by one or more actuators. In some embodiments, the system includes control circuitry, outputting positioning signals to move the receptacle carrier, and outputting dosage-manipulation signals to move the gripper to pick and manipulate a medication dosage out of the medication container, and the horizontal distance between the opening of the receptacle and the medication dosage is less than 20 cm at least prior to outputting the dosage-manipulation signals. The method includes extracting a medication out of the medication container, positioning a receptacle by a receptacle carrier in a horizontal distance of less than 20 cm between the medication and the opening of the receptacle, at least prior to the extracting, and dispensing the medication in the receptacle.
Programable, refillable medication package with scheduled metered dispensing and med unit sensor
A programmable, refillable medication dispenser with scheduled metered medication unit dispensing, includes a main housing, a powered CPU with countdown timer, a multi-unit medication removable refillable cartridge with a (first) lock, a medication release control gate positioned at a medication outlet and connected to a (second) lock being a gate control mechanism, and an in-chamber medication unit sensor. A pharmacist will insert a medicine cartridge into the main housing, locking it in, and will program the CPU to permit a patient to activate dispensing according to a predetermined schedule, and then only when a medication unit is sensed in the chamber. A patient may receive the dispenser and activate medication dispensing according to the programmed schedule and dispense by the timer schedule, only when a medication unit is sensed in the chamber.
MEDICATION PACKAGING AND DOSE REGIMEN SYSTEM
A medicament dispensing container includes a first wall connected with a second wall and defines a cavity therebetween. The walls are movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration. At least one member is disposable in the cavity and defines at least one dose receptacle configured for disposal of at least one dose of at least one medication. At least one fixation member connects the at least one member to at least one of the walls such that the at least one member is movable relative to the wall. Systems and methods of use are disclosed.
DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING AN ACTIVE PRINCIPLE BY THE ORAL MUCOSAL ROUTE
A device for administering an active principle via the oral mucous membrane, having an ampule (1) containing liquid, the ampule including an opening defining a peripheral axial edge (11) closed by a film (10); a syringe barrel (2) with a dispenser orifice; a piston (3) in the syringe barrel (2); a piston rod (4); and a connector (20) formed integrally with or fastened to the syringe barrel (2) and adapted to be connected in leaktight manner to the ampule. The connector includes a perforator (23) for perforating the film and connecting the inside of the ampule with the syringe barrel, the perforator forming the dispenser orifice while the active principle is dispensed. The connector includes an outer protective skirt (21) for creating a gum/cheek cavity while the liquid is deposited and includes an annular reception space (24) for receiving the peripheral axial edge of the ampule.
REMOTE PATIENT MONITORING AND MEDICATION DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present invention relates to systems and methods for remotely monitoring the health of a patient in a real-time, continuous manner, remotely deliver therapeutic medications to the patient, and facilitating communication between the patient and a remotely located patient care provider.
Mouth Appliance Devices, Systems, and Methods
A tray appliance of the present disclosure has a first dissolvable sheet and a first substance formed within a second dissolvable sheet. The first dissolvable sheet is laid on the second dissolvable sheet and is formed into a first dissolvable negative impression of a person's teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue, such that when first dissolvable negative impression is worn by a person, the first dissolvable negative impression dissolves and releases the first substance into the person's saliva, teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS TO MEDICATIONS
The exemplary embodiments herein provide a method for controlling access to medications. The method preferably includes the step of electronically unlocking a lid for a single bin out of a plurality of bins within a delivery module at a first location, to accept a medication into the unlocked bin, where the rest of the bins in the same delivery module remain locked. The method should then engage a mechanical lock on the lid once it has been closed, maintain the bin in a locked state during transport to a second location, and engage a mechanical lock on the delivery module once it has been lowered into a drawer at the second location.
Sealed assembly for pill crushing and delivering and method for using thereof
A sealed assembly for pill crushing and delivering and a method for using thereof are provided. The assembly includes: a connecting valve with different diameters, including a first end, a valve and a second end provided with a syringe-abutting interface, wherein, an opening diameter of the first end is larger than that of the second end; and a pill-crushing carrier including a sealed cavity having only one filling-in opening, the pill-crushing carrier has a first state when separated from the connecting valve and the filling-in opening is exposed for delivering pills into the carrier, and a second state when the filling-in opening is connected to the first end of the connecting valve, crushed and dissolved pill powders in the sealed cavity can be taken out through the connecting valve. The assembly can crush pills and dissolve powders in a sealed cavity, deliver powder-dissolved liquid and prevent powders from dispersing.
MODULAR SYSTEM FOR INVENTORY AND TRANSPORT EFFICIENCY OF PACKAGING
Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.
