Intelligent bioelectric module for use with drug delivery system
An intelligent bioelectric module for use with a drug delivery system has a case and a set of at least two electrodes in electrical communication with a detection surface of the case. The case is configured so that, in use, the detection surface comes into electrical communication with (i) a second surface of the delivery system when a first surface of the delivery system has been put into contact with a tissue surface of a human or animal subject or (ii) the tissue surface that is adjacent to a portion contacted by the first surface of the delivery system or (iii) both the second surface and the tissue surface.
Skin Tear Kit, Instructional Labeling System, and Methods Therefor
A medical kit (100) includes a package (105) having a housing (501) and a lid (103). One or more medical implements (1001,1101,1201,1301) for treating a skin tear wound are arranged in a stacked configuration within the package. An instructional labeling system (106) is coupled to the lid. The instructional labeling system can include an identification (107) of a skin tear type the one or more medical implements are designed to treat, a description (108) of the skin tear type, printed instructions (110) defining one or more steps (111,112,113,114) instructing when to use each medical implement within the package to treat the skin tear wound, and one or more removable adhesive labels (115,116).
OXYGEN GENERATING FACE MASKS
A composition for healing or improving skin includes a fabric or material impregnated with an oxygen generating material. The fabric may include a first side in contact with the skin for providing oxygen to the skin and a second side between the oxygen generating material and the air surrounding the skin to form a barrier for retaining heat and inhibiting evaporation.
ADAPTIVE DERMAL CARE METHODS AND APPARATUS
The invention is broadly directed to a skin care apparatus comprising: a camera; a light device for emitting at least one of a blue, a green, a yellow and a red light; a vibration pad; a heating element; a heat sensor; a skin moisture sensor; an iontophoresis module; and a control processor configured to: operate the camera and the skin moisture sensor to perform a skin quality assessment of a user's skin, and operate any one or more of: the light device, the vibration pad, the heating element, the heat sensor, and the iontophoresis module to provide a bespoke skin treatment for the user's skin based on the skin quality assessment.
Devices, systems and methods for treating the skin
According to some embodiments, a method of treating a skin surface of a subject comprises heating a skin surface, abrading native skin tissue of a subject using a microdermabrasion device, wherein using the microdermabrasion device comprises moving the microdermabrasion device relative to the skin surface while simultaneously delivering at least one treatment fluid to the skin surface being treated and cooling the abraded skin surface.
Negative pressure wound closure device
The present invention relates to a negative pressure wound closure system and methods for using such a system. Preferred embodiments of the invention facilitate closure of the wound by preferentially contracting to provide for movement of the tissue. Preferred embodiments can utilize tissue grasping elements to apply a wound closing force to the tissue.
Wound debridement by irrigation with ultrasonically activated microbubbles
A treatment system for debriding a treatment area of a tissue site and applying negative pressure is disclosed. In some embodiments, the treatment system may include an ultrasonic bubble generator fluidly coupled to a negative-pressure source, fluid source, and a dressing. Fluid may be drawn from the fluid source to the ultrasonic bubble generator, whereby micro-bubbles and ultrasonic waves may be generated in the fluid before the fluid is instilled to the dressing.
INTRAURETHRAL MEDICATION DOSAGE FORM AND DEVICE
The present invention is pursuant to the fields of Pharmacy and Medicine. More specifically, the invention provides an intraurethral dosage form of liquid or gel medication for men or women. In one embodiment, an applicator provides advantages in its use, facilitating the application of pharmaceutical compositions directly into the urethral channel and providing fast local effect without substantial risk. The invention provides a dosage form and route of administration for several medications, being particularly useful for the application of anti-inflammatory and/or anesthetic medications, for the treatment of female cystitis, for modulating female genital sensitivity and/or for modulating the erectile function in man, being an advantageous dosage form alternative to the oral or injectable administration of medications or even the intraurethral administration of pills.
TISSUE REGENERATIVE MULTI-DRUG COCKTAIL AND APPARATUS FOR DELIVERY THEREOF
Disclosed are apparatus, compositions, and methods for promoting regeneration of tissue on a subject such as a wounded, damaged, or injured appendage, or within a subject such as a wounded, damaged, or injured organ. The disclosed apparatus, composition, and methods include or utilize wearable sleeves and regenerative compositions.
Accurate, precise microliter dosing syringe
According to some embodiments, a syringe may include a barrel; a delivery conduit; a plunger seal disposed within the barrel; and a plunger rod assembly affixed to an end of the barrel, the plunger rod assembly including a first plunger rod component comprising a first linear gear, a second plunger rod component disposed at least partially in the barrel and engaged with the plunger seal, wherein the second plunger rod component comprises a second linear gear, a first rotational gear having a plurality of gear teeth for engaging the first linear gear, and a second rotational gear having a second plurality of gear teeth for engaging the second linear gear, wherein the first rotational gear is coupled to the second rotational gear such that translation of the first plunger rod component causes translation of the second plunger rod component.
