MACHINE TOOL SYSTEM AND WORKPIECE TRANSPORT METHOD
A lathe includes a lathe-side chuck that holds a workpiece with the workpiece directed toward or facing a front side, a main spindle that rotates around an axis, and a tool that machines the workpiece. A machining center includes a rotary tool that rotates around an axis in the horizontal direction and an MC-side chuck that holds the workpiece and is able to turn between at least a workpiece pass/receive position in which the workpiece is directed toward or facing the front side and a machining position in which the workpiece is directed toward or facing the rotary tool. A loader includes a guide rail extending above the lathe-side chucks, and MC-side chuck along the horizontal direction and a loader head that holds the workpiece and carries the workpiece between at least the lathe-side chucks, and MC-side chuck by moving along the guide rail.
Workpiece processing method
A workpiece processing method is a method for successively processing a plurality of workpieces including a first workpiece and a second workpiece in a single machining area. The workpiece processing method includes: performing additive manufacturing on the second workpiece in the machining area; and performing subtractive manufacturing on the first workpiece in the machining area while keeping on standby the second workpiece on which additive manufacturing is performed. In this way, the workpiece processing method with improved productivity is provided.

Method for machining metallic member using lathing and scraping
A method for machining a metallic member to provide a finished appearance, the method uses a lathe and a scraping process. A metallic member includes a top portion and a peripheral sidewall, is positioned on the worktable. The worktable is rotated with the metallic member, the lathe tool reciprocates to machine the top portion of the rotary metallic member circumferentially. The lathe tool is moved along a predetermined path relative to the worktable by the moving device to machine curved surfaces of the top portion of the metallic member. The scraping cutter is moved to contact the peripheral sidewall of the metallic member. The scraping cutter is moved along a predetermined path, and the scraping cutter is fed the metallic member to achieve the required shape and finish.
Method for machining metallic member using lathing and scraping
A method for machining a metallic member to provide a finished appearance, the method uses a lathe and a scraping process. A metallic member includes a top portion and a peripheral sidewall, is positioned on the worktable. The worktable is rotated with the metallic member, the lathe tool reciprocates to machine the top portion of the rotary metallic member circumferentially. The lathe tool is moved along a predetermined path relative to the worktable by the moving device to machine curved surfaces of the top portion of the metallic member. The scraping cutter is moved to contact the peripheral sidewall of the metallic member. The scraping cutter is moved along a predetermined path, and the scraping cutter is fed the metallic member to achieve the required shape and finish.
Five axis machine tool
A machine tool has at least 5. A tool holder assembly permits a tool holder spindle to be displaced relative to the frame along a first axis of translation and along a second axis of translation perpendicular to the first axis of translation and implementing slides in a plane forming an angle of between +40° and +50° relative to the first axis of translation. A part holder assembly permits a part to be displaced along a third axis of translation perpendicular to the other axes of translation, about a first axis of rotation parallel to the third axis of translation and about a second axis of rotation perpendicular to the first axis of rotation. The length of the precision path connecting the part to the tool via the frame and the assemblies of the machine is less than 1600 mm.
Friction welding method and machine tool
Disclosed is a friction welding method including: a heating step wherein, in relation to joining surfaces (S1, S2) defined by opposite end surfaces of a pair of materials (W1, W2), the pair of materials (W1, W2) are moved from a state in which their axes are unaligned with each other, in a direction for aligning the respective axes with each other, to a prescribed position where the joining surfaces (S1, S2) are brought into contact with each other and friction heated; and a pressure contacting step wherein the pair of materials are brought into pressure contact with each other. The method is characterized in that the heating step and the pressure contacting step are carried out while rotating each of the materials (W1, W2) at the same rotation speed in the same direction, as seen from one side in the axial direction.
Machining apparatus for differential case
A machining apparatus includes: a shuttle unit (3) that holds a differential case (10) and rotates the differential case (10); a pair of opposed right and left machining units (4); and a tool support (6) that supports a tool (40) for machining the differential case (10), in which the pair of right and left machining units (4) each include a slide mechanism dedicated for uniaxial sliding in right and left directions, the shuttle unit (3) is movable in up and down directions and front and back directions, a tool attached to each of the pair of right and left machining units (4) enables machining an end portion of an inner surface of the differential case (10) and a flange hole of the differential case (10), the end portion surrounding a through hole, and a cutting edge of the tool (40) supported by the tool support (6) enables spherically cutting the inner surface of the differential case (10) held and rotated by the shuttle unit (3).

There is provided a combined working machine including: a bed in which a front inclined surface which is inclined forward is formed; a first workpiece main spindle device and a second workpiece main spindle device disposed on the front inclined surface of the bed to be opposite to each other and including a main spindle stand configured to rotatably hold a main spindle about an axis and a driving mechanism configured to move the main spindle in an axial direction of the main spindle; a first turret device and a second turret device including a turret configured to attach multiple turret tools disposed above the main spindle on the bed; and a tool main spindle device disposed between the first turret device and the second turret device on the bed and including a main spindle head configured to exchangeably and rotatably hold a main spindle head tool.
