A system (40) is provided for processing a workpiece (44). The system (40) includes a support surface (48) for supporting the workpiece (44) and defining a processing path (P) along which the workpiece (44) may travel relative to the system (40). The system (40) includes at least one tool (64a, 64b, 64c) for performing a process on the workpiece (44) that is movable in a work zone (WZ) along a predetermined length (L) of the workpiece (44) in a direction along the processing path (P). The system (40) includes a movable clamp assembly (80) having opposing clamping pads (84, 88) movable into and out of the work zone (WZ) along the processing path (P) to clamp a portion of the workpiece (44) located in the work zone (WZ) prior to the at least one tool (64a, 64b, 64c) performing a process on the workpiece (44).
METHOD FOR CUTTING TENSIONED TENSIONING MEMBERS OF A CONCRETE TOWER, CUTTING DEVICE FOR CUTTING TENSIONED TENSIONING MEMBERS OF A CONCRETE TOWER, AND USE OF A CUTTING DEVICE
A method for cutting tensioned tension members of a concrete tower, in particular of a wind power installation concrete tower, which has a multiplicity of tension members, said method comprising coupling a bar-shaped positioning element to a main frame; positioning the positioning element in such a manner that the cut end thereof that faces the concrete tower is disposed within a cutting region in the interior of the concrete tower, wherein at least one of the tension members is situated within the cutting region; disposing a cutting unit on the cut end of the positioning element; positioning the cut end in such a manner that the cutting unit has a predetermined spacing from one of the tension members; cutting the tension member with the cutting unit.
SUBSEA CONNECTOR HANDLE
A subsea wet-mateable connector handle has a handle part, a bushing support ring, a resilient bushing, a connector mount and a securing pin. A method of manufacturing a subsea wet-mateable connector handle includes cutting a handle part from a sheet of inherently corrosion resistant metal plate by a two-dimensional cutting process. A bushing support ring and a bushing are assembled onto a limb extending from the handle part. A connector mount is mounted to the bushing and the connector mount and bushing are fixed to the handle part with the securing pin.
Method and apparatus to monitor a fire state associated with a welding event
The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for detection of fire states in the presence of welding activities. In some examples, the welding detection system may algorithmically calculate a risk of a fire state developing. In some embodiments, the welding fire detection and prevention system may communicate warning states to users, supervisors, equipment and/or building monitoring systems.
SILENT ENTRY TORCHING AND OXYGEN DELIVERY SYSTEM AND CONFIGURATION
A system for performing exothermic operations or oxygen delivery uses a rod and handle configuration to create a flowpath of oxygen. The rod includes cables having stainless steel fibers that burn using the oxygen within a hollow center area. While burning, the rod cuts through material. A sheath covers the covers to contain the gases and prevent unraveling of the cables. The handle attaches to the rod and provides control of the flow of oxygen to the rod. A manifold fixing in place bottles of oxygen connects to the handle and can be fixed to provide different mixtures from different bottles. The rod is disconnected when needed to fix a mask thereto for delivering breathable oxygen to a patient.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING WORKPIECE PARTS FROM A PLATE-SHAPED WORKPIECE, DATA PROCESSING PROGRAM AND PROCESSING MACHINE FOR PRODUCING THE WORKPIECE PARTS
A method for producing workpiece parts from a plate-shaped workpiece in a processing machine or laser processing machine includes positioning and holding the workpiece on a workpiece support by clamping devices. A plurality of workpiece parts are cut out of the workpiece with a process beam. The process beam is moved relative to the workpiece support by a processing head and/or the workpiece is moved relative to the workpiece support by the clamping devices. A cutting process for processing the workpiece to produce the workpiece parts is interrupted at least once by a relaxation step for the workpiece. During the relaxation step at least one clamping device is released to relax the workpiece. The at least one clamping device is closed following the relaxation and before continuing the cutting process. A data processing program and a processing machine for producing the workpiece parts are also provided.
Unknown
In known methods for through-cut detection in the thermally assisted through cutting of a workpiece, the workpiece is subjected to a first alternating signal. Starting therefrom, to indicate a method which allows a fast and accurate detection of a through-cut made, it is suggested according to the invention that the method comprises the following method steps:
a) detecting a second alternating electrical signal caused by the first alternating electrical signal in a measurement electrode spaced from the workpiece,
b) determining the phase shift between first and second alternating electrical signal with output of a phase shift signal,
c) detecting a temporal evolution of the phase shift electrical signal or a measurement variable derived therefrom in a predetermined time interval,
wherein a workpiece through-cut made is detected in that the phase shift signal or the measurement variable derived therefrom is in the time interval within a predetermined fluctuation range.
OXY FUEL GAS MIXTURES AND METHODS FOR USE
Fuel gas compositions for use in metal fabrication are provided comprising fuel gases comprising a base fuel gas mixed with from about 1% to less than 30% hydrogen.
MACHINE CUTTING TORCH SYSTEM
A cutting torch system comprises a cutting torch and a control system. The cutting torch includes a cutting oxygen channel for supplying cutting oxygen, a heating oxygen channel for supplying heating oxygen, a fuel gas channel for supplying fuel gas, an ignition mixer configured to selectively generate ignition gas from the heating oxygen and the fuel gas, and at least one sensor adapted for measuring a pressure and/or flow rate in one of the channels. The control system is adapted to maintain a temperature of the cutting torch to allow operation of the at least one sensor by adjusting a flow rate and/or a pressure of the gasses supplied to the cutting torch and/or by switching the cutting torch between an ignition mode and a cleaning and cooling mode.
