Article selection and placement assembly and method
An apparatus is disclosed for applying tags with attached elastic anchor bands onto the tops of objects such as bottles in a high speed packaging application. The apparatus includes an infeed assembly for feeding a web, a conveyor assembly that receives a web and conveys it along a path in an upstream direction, a rotating selector wheel, a placement assembly, a pair of rotating jaw assembles, a vacuum cup of the selector wheel, and stretched elastic bands over the tops of respective bottles being conveyed along a path below the placing assembly. The elastic bands then snap onto the tops of their respective bottles to secure the tags to the bottles.
Mounting system
A mounting system including a component mounter, a storage, and a unit exchange device includes a selection section that selects a combination of the specific component feeding unit and the related component feeding unit from the component feeding unit stored in the storage based on combination information indicating a combination of the characteristic rank of the specific component and a component type of the related component corresponding to the characteristic rank, and storage information including the component type, a position, and the characteristic rank of the specific component of the component feeding unit stored in the storage; and a control section that controls the unit exchange device to take out the combination of the specific component feeding unit and the related component feeding unit from the storage and to convey the combination to the component mounter.
Method and apparatus for inserting washers in a molded part
An automated insertion system for inserting or combining one or more fastener components with a molded part. The automated insertion system can handle multiple fastener components repeatedly, and do so faster and more safely than current processes.
Puller spacer
A puller spacer has a cylindrical and elongated body. The puller spacer has a slot formed in a side of the body. The slot extends from a center bore of the puller spacer to an exterior of the puller spacer. Wires that extend out of a steering column are routed through a bottom of the puller spacer and into a center bore of the puller spacer, with an end of each of the wires extending out of the slot formed in a side of the puller spacer. The puller spacer is positioned between a distal end of a center threaded member of a steering wheel puller and the top of the steering column. The steering wheel puller engages the steering wheel and the center threaded member of the steering wheel puller is advanced to pull the steering wheel away from the steering column.
Omni-positional adhesion device
Aspects are provided for retaining components of an assembly to a support, including additively manufactured (AM) parts of a vehicle chassis to an assembly table. A cartridge for securing the component to the assembly table is provided which includes a housing including at least one compartment, an adhesive disposed within the at least one compartment, a fastener removably attached to the assembly table, and a membrane lid enclosing an opening of the housing. The membrane lid is configured to receive a protruding member from the component such that the protruding member becomes adhered to the adhesive upon penetrating the membrane lid. The cartridge thus allows the component to be quickly retained in any selected position while constraining movement of the component along six degrees of freedom, thereby allowing AM and non-AM parts to be securely retained to accommodate strict tolerance and precise fit between the components of the assembly.
METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO COMPONENTS, IN PARTICULAR A MOTOR TO A GEARBOX, AND ASSEMBLY WITH A CONNECTION BETWEEN MOTOR AND GEARBOX
The present disclosure relates to a method for connecting a motor to a gearbox, wherein, first, a form- and/or force-fit connection between the motor and the gearbox is established by screwing together a motor- or gearbox-side first component and the respective motor- or gearbox-side second component to be connected thereto, or by establishing an interference fit between these two components, and wherein, additionally, an axial lock between the two components is then established by means of caulking, in that a lug formed on the first component is deformed by means of a caulking tool into a recess formed on the second component.
Apparatus to determine quality of termination of wire using thermal characteristics
A wire terminating apparatus and method which allows for determining the quality of a wire termination. The method includes terminating the wire, monitoring the thermal properties of the termination with one or more thermal sensors and comparing the monitored thermal properties to stored thermal properties to determine if the termination is defective. If the termination is defective, the termination is discarded. The apparatus includes a wire termination zone. A thermal sensor is mounted on the wire terminating apparatus proximate the wire termination zone. The thermal sensor monitors the thermal properties of the termination to determine if the termination is defective.
STUD SUPPLY DEVICE AND STUD SUPPLY METHOD
Provided are a stud supply device and a stud supply method with which a stud can be supplied to a welding electrode in the correct orientation. The stud supply device comprises: a magazine in which a predetermined number of studs can be aligned and stored in series inside a magazine hole from a stop part to one end side; switching mechanisms having a plurality of balls that can move between a position contacting the studs and a position not contacting the studs, and a reciprocating member that restricts the movement of the plurality of balls, the switching mechanisms switching between a state in which the studs are stopped at the stop part and a state in which the studs are allowed to pass; and a first air injection part that is provided more on the one end side than the stop part, and that injects air from the one end side to the stud stopped at the stop part.
Device for producing rotors or stators of electric machines
A method to produce rotors or stators of electric machines having radial grooves into which webs of flat windings having parallel webs and winding heads connecting said webs being pulled, wherein a winding is produced on a rotating, strip-shaped flat former shorter than the winding such that windings are pulled off the former and transferred into a linear transfer device, which transports the windings to a removal position at which the windings are transferred into radial grooves of a rotor or of the transfer tool for transfer into radial grooves of a stator, wherein the former, the transfer device, and the rotor or the transfer tool being jointly rotated about an axis of rotation of the former when rotated to form windings.
Bending apparatus
A bending apparatus including a stage on which a bending object is positioned, a bending bar, a drive unit connected to the bending bar and configured to move the bending bar according to a standard route to bend the bending object by coming into contact with the bending object, and a measuring unit that measures a movement route of the bending bar.
