MIXER FOR FORMING CERAMIC SUSPENSION WITH REDUCED COOLING AND RELATED METHOD
A mixer is disclosed including a sealed mixing chamber having an interior, and a rotating mixing bowl within the interior of the sealed mixing chamber. A stand operatively supports the sealed mixing chamber. The stand includes: a foundation, a mixing chamber base movably coupled to the foundation and positioning the sealed mixing chamber at an angle relative to horizontal, and a linear actuator system configured to move the mixing chamber base relative to the foundation in at least one linear direction. A rotating mixing head is operatively positioned and sealingly disposed within the sealed mixing chamber, the rotating mixing head rotating within the rotating mixing bowl. The mixer and a related method provide for ceramic suspension mixing with reduced cooling and possibly without cooling the suspension.
MIXING PLANT AND RELATED PRODUCTION METHODS
A mobile construction plant includes two sets of low-profile bins: one set containing granular materials and the other set containing powdery materials. Each of the bins is mounted on a weighing mechanism that pre-weighs the contents before mixing. An elongated dual shaft mixer having a small bore diameter is located below the bins. A set of belt conveyors is provided for transporting materials from the granular material bins to the mixer, and a blending auger is provided for transporting materials from the powdered material bins to the mixer. All of the bins, the conveyors, the blending auger, the mixer, and other components are supported on a small footprint frame that can easily be transported to a job site.
Cement supply control systems and methods
A system comprises a cement mixer, a supply tank to supply dry cement to the cement mixer, and a dry cement height sensor to measure the height of the dry cement in the cement supply tank. A valve controls the flow of dry cement to the cement supply tank based on the signals from the dry cement height sensor. Additional apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed.
