Filament winding apparatus
A helical winding unit of a filament winding apparatus includes guide members guiding fiber bundles F to a liner, a movement mechanism moving the guide members, and a rotation mechanism rotating the guide members. Each of the guide members includes two side walls and guide portions fixed between the two side walls. As the guide portions, a first guide portion having a first guide surface and a second guide portion having a second guide surface and provided downstream of the first guide portion are provided. In the height direction, the first guide surface is oriented to one side. The second guide surface is oriented to the other side in the height direction and provided on the other side of the first guide surface.
Composite flexible coupling
A flexible coupling for transmitting torque between parts of a transmission shaft system comprises a tubular section of continuous-fibre-reinforced composite material which has been modified to form a living hinge section with reduced bending stiffness to allow flexion of the tubular section. The tubular section may be modified through the provision of a pattern of formations within the living hinge section. The formations may be in the form of apertures and/or recesses in the continuous-fibre-reinforced composite material to create a plurality of living hinges in the material between, in particular slots and/or grooves.
Catheter
In some examples, a catheter comprises an inner liner, an outer jacket, and a structural support member positioned between at least a portion of the inner liner and the outer jacket. The inner liner, the outer jacket, and the structural support member define a catheter body that comprises a proximal portion having a first outer diameter, a distal portion having a second outer diameter less than the first outer diameter, the distal portion including a distal end of the catheter body, and a medial portion positioned between the proximal portion and the distal portion, the medial portion tapering from the first outer diameter to the second outer diameter.

SHAPE THIN SUBSTRATES BY CURING SHRINKABLE MATERIALS DEPOSITED WITH LOCALIZED VARIATIONS
Methods of curing a deformation in a substrate are provided. In some embodiments, the method includes identifying one or more areas on the substrate with deformation. The method further includes printing a first film on a first area of a surface of the substrate via inkjet printing, the first film being a material that polymerizes and contracts when cured. The method includes printing a second film on a second area of the surface of the substrate via inkjet printing, the second film being a material that polymerizes and contracts when cured. The method further includes curing the first film and the second film to induce a bend in the substrate. In some embodiments, the method includes inkjet printing a third film and a fourth film on the surface of the substrate.
Vacuum insulated structure tubular cabinet construction
A refrigerator includes a vacuum insulated cabinet structure having side walls that are formed from a tube that has been folded/deformed into a structure having an “O” shape with vertically enlarged front and rear openings. The interior of the tube may be filled with silica powder or other filler, and a vacuum is formed within the tube. An insulated rear panel may be utilized to close off the rear opening of the vacuum insulated cabinet structure.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY OF FUEL CELL
A manufacturing device of a membrane-electrode assembly for fuel cell includes a membrane unwinder unwinding and supplying a polymer electrolyte membrane of a roll shape; a film unwinder unwinding and supplying a release film of a roll shape respectively coated with an anode catalyst electrode layer and a cathode catalyst electrode layer with a predetermined interval in an upper and lower sides of the polymer electrolyte membrane; upper and lower bonding rolls respectively disposed at the upper and lower sides of a progressing path of the polymer electrolyte membrane and the release film and pressed to an upper surface and a lower surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane; and a protection film unwinder unwinding and supplying a protection film between adhered surfaces of the release film and the upper and lower bonding rolls.
Insulating container
An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure also prevents any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. This construction results in an insulating chamber impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.
Method and device for producing non-round wound tubes from plastic profiles
A method and a device for repairing portions of channels, including non-round channels, is provided by a wound tube wound from a profile strip by a winding machine, the abutting edges of which strip are formed into tight joints, locked inside the wound tube which can be introduced into the portion of the channel to be repaired. A plastic profile strip is drawn from a storage spool and fed to a winding machine arranged in front of one of the openings of the channel to be repaired, the winding machine having a guide rail adapted to the cross-portion of the channel, and adjacent edge regions fed onto this rotating winding former locked in an overlapping manner to form a wound pipe and the pipe is pushed or pulled into the channel portion.
