High heat and oil resistant conveyor belt
Conveyor belts having a reinforcement layer, a carry cover layer above the reinforcement layer, and a pulley cover layer disposed beneath the reinforcement layer, where the carry cover layer includes least one hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR) material. The HNBR material(s) may have a percentage of hydrogenation of from about 90% to about 96%, from about 92% to about 95%, or even about 94%. The carry cover layer may be from about 4 mm to about 6 mm thick, or even from about 4 mm to about 5 mm thick. In some cases, the reinforcement layer includes a rubber matrix, which may be formed of a nitrile rubber (NBR), or mixture of nitrile NBR and natural rubber blended in a NBR:NR weight ratio of from 3:1 to 9:1. In some aspects, the reinforcement layer includes a plurality of reinforcement plies embedded in the rubber matrix.
Process for electroplating an aqueous adhesive composition comprising a phosphate salt and a thermosetting resin on a conductive element
The present invention relates to a process for electroplating an adhesive composition onto at least one conductive element, in which the conductive element is placed in contact with the adhesive composition comprising: a phosphate salt and a resin based on: a compound A1, compound A1 being chosen from a compound A11 comprising at least two functions, one of these functions being a hydroxymethyl function and the other being an aldehyde function or a hydroxymethyl function, or a compound A12 comprising at least one aldehyde function, or a mixture of a compound A11 and of a compound A12; and a phenol A21. A potential difference is applied between the conductive element and the adhesive composition to coat the conductive element with an adhesive layer.
BELT OR FABRIC INCLUDING POLYMERIC LAYER FOR PAPERMAKING MACHINE
A fabric or belt for a papermaking machine including a first layer that defines a web contacting surface and a second layer that supports the first layer. The first layer is made of extruded polymer and includes a plurality of first elements aligned in a first direction, a plurality of second elements aligned in a second direction and extending over the plurality of first elements, and a plurality of open portions defined by the plurality of first and second elements. The second layer is made of woven fabric. The first layer is bonded to the second layer so that the first layer extends only partially through the second layer and an interface formed between the first and second layers includes bonded and unbonded portions and airflow channels that extend in a plane parallel to the first and second layers.
Friction transmission belt and method for producing same
A frictional power transmission belt includes a tension layer forming a belt back surface, a compression rubber layer to be in contact with a pulley and frictionally engaged with the pulley, and a tension member embedded between the tension layer and the compression rubber layer along a belt length direction. The compression rubber layer has a surface to be in contact with the pulley. At least a part of the surface is coated with a fiber layer via a fiber/resin mixture layer. The fiber/resin mixture layer contains a resin component and heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than a vulcanization temperature of a rubber forming the compression rubber layer. The fiber layer contains hydrophilic heat-resistant fibers having a softening point or a melting point higher than the vulcanization temperature and does not contain a resin component.
ENDLESS BELT COMPRISING BORON NITRIDE NANOTUBES
An endless belt comprising a polyimide-based substrate layer. A plurality of boron nitride nanotubes are dispersed in the polyimide.
Reinforced Continuous Loop Matrix Member; Continuous Loop Reinforcement Assembly; Flexible Cylindrical Reinforcement Band; and Axially Reinforced Cylindrical Coil
The present invention generally relates to reinforcement assemblies for matrix materials, and more specifically to reinforcement assemblies for continuous loop members with reinforced matrix materials.
Fluorocarbon resin composite, cookware, cooker, roller for office automation equipment, belt for office automation equipment, and method for producing them
A fluorocarbon resin composite includes a fluorocarbon resin layer on a base, in which a fluorocarbon resin constituting the fluorocarbon resin layer is crosslinked by electron beam irradiation, and the base has a desired shape obtained by machining. The fluorocarbon resin is composed of a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer, polytetrafluoroethylene, or a mixture of the tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer and polytetrafluoroethylene. A fluorocarbon resin composite, cookware, and a roller and a belt for use in office automation equipment are each produced by applying an uncrosslinked fluorocarbon resin on a base, subjecting the fluorocarbon resin to electron beam irradiation in a low-oxygen atmosphere to crosslink the fluorocarbon resin while the temperature of the fluorocarbon resin is maintained at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the fluorocarbon resin, and machining the base into a desired shape. There is also provided methods for producing them.
WETTABLE FLUOROPOLYMER FIBER MATERIAL
A wettable, dispersion spun fluoropolymer fiber prepared from non-melt-processible fluoropolymer particles.
Wettable fluoropolymer fiber material
A wettable, dispersion spun fluoropolymer fiber prepared from non-melt-processible fluoropolymer particles.
Fabric And Method For Producing A Fabric
A functional belt has a foam layer and at least one further functional layer. The foam layer and the further functional layer are joined to one another by laser transmission welding, in particular by NIR laser transmission welding. A method for producing a functional belt includes the following method steps: providing a compressible foam layer; providing a further functional layer bringing together the foam layer and the further functional layer and joining the compressible foam layer to the further functional layer by laser transmission welding, in particular by means of NIR laser transmission welding. A technical textile, in particular a fabric for use in a machine for the production or processing of a fibrous material web, preferably press felt of a paper machine, a sealing band or a textile-reinforced insulation material, includes, or is made of, such a functional belt.
