A modular notebook system includes a cover having a plurality of surfaces. The system also includes a binding coupled to the plurality of surfaces via a flexible and/or foldable material. The binding forms a magnetic spine by having at least one magnetic pad configured to receive a magnetically attractive binding element.

An expandable storage device is provided including a first panel and a second panel, along with one or more mechanisms for adjusting the size of a spine therebetween. By one approach, the storage device includes a first panel having a first panel spine portion, a second panel having a second panel spine portion, and one or more actuators, where the first panel spine portion and the second panel spine portion are configured to form a spine of the device having an adjustable width. The one or more actuators may be configured to move between an unlocked and a locked configuration to move the first panel or the second panel relative to one another and selectively retain the spine of the device at variety of adjustable widths. So configured, the device may accommodate an increasing or decreasing number of articles, sheets, or other items placed therein.

Binding folder for binding a bundle of leaves, whereby this binding folder comprises a cover with a spine and two endpapers. In the spine a U-shaped profile from heat-conductive material is applied. The U-shaped profile comprises a base and upright arms. In the U-shaped profile a binding adhesive in the form of a hotmelt adhesive is applied. The U-shaped profile in the spine is applied by an assembly adhesive between the upright arms of the U-shaped profile and the spine of the cover. The assembly adhesive extends beyond the free edges of the upright arms and over these free edges.

A fan mount includes a first part movable relative to a second part. A retainer is connected to the second part of the fan mount above the first part for restricting the movement of the fan relative to the fan mount. The first part may be a ball member having a depending portion with an hourglass shape. A safety connector may be provided, and a retainer connected to the second part of the fan mount for retaining the safety connector. The present application relates to the field of binders, and provides a binder with an integrated display device, including: a front cover, a back cover, a spine connecting the front cover and the back cover, a control circuit located inside the binder, and an integrated display device located in at least a part of the binder, where the integrated display device includes a control switch connected to the control circuit, and one or more display elements embedded in the binder, the one or more display elements are connected to the control circuit and arranged in a specific design, and the binder is configured such that, after the control switch is triggered, the one or more display elements of the integrated display device present an audiovisual effect including at least one of LED lighting, LED flashing, graphic display, and sound.
