Vehicular Safety Alert Assembly
20180009375 · 2018-01-11 ·

A vehicular safety alert assembly includes a first sensing unit that may be positioned on a driver's seat in a vehicle. Thus, the first sensing unit may detect when a driver sits in the driver's seat. The first sensing unit is in electrical communication with the vehicle's alarm system. A second sensing unit may be positioned on a child seat in the vehicle. Thus, the second sensing unit may detect when a child is sitting in the child seat. The second sensing unit is electrically coupled to the first sensing unit. The first sensing unit generates an alarm sequence when the second sensing unit detects the child and the first sensing unit does not detect the driver. The vehicle's alarm system emits an audible alarm when the alarm sequence is generated. Thus, the driver is alerted that the child is unattended in the vehicle.

INFANT/CHILD ANTI-ABANDONMENT SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES AND PROCESS FOR SIGNALING AN INFANT/CHILD INSIDE A VEHICLE
20230001873 · 2023-01-05 ·

The present invention relates to an anti-abandonment system comprising: a first sensor (2) associable with a restraining device (R) placed in the vehicle, a second sensor (3) associable with a fastening tab or with a fastening buckle of a safety belt of the vehicle. The anti-abandonment system comprises a control unit connected to the first and second sensors and configured to perform a control procedure comprising the steps of: determining, as a function of the signal emitted by the first sensor, the presence of a child and/or an infant on the restraining device; determining, as a function of the signal emitted by the second sensor, a fastened or unfastened condition of the safety belt, defining an alarm condition in the event that the control unit determines the presence of a child and/or an infant on the restraining device and at the same time the unfastened condition of the safety belt. The present invention also regards a process for warning of a potentially hazardous situation relative to the presence of an infant/child inside a vehicle.

Systems and methods for streaming processing for autonomous vehicles
11713006 · 2023-08-01 · ·

Generally, the present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for streaming processing within one or more systems of an autonomy computing system. When an update for a particular object or region of interest is received by a given system, the system can control transmission of data associated with the update as well as a determination of other aspects by the given system. For example, the system can determine based on a received update for a particular aspect and a priority classification and/or interaction classification determined for that aspect whether data associated with the update should be transmitted to a subsequent system before waiting for other updates to arrive.

Driver profile reset system and methods thereof
11708039 · 2023-07-25 · ·

The present disclosure relates to user settings on a vehicle. More particularly, this disclosure describes a driver profile reset system and methods thereof to remove those user settings. In an illustrative embodiment, a driver may be presented with a pin pad on a head unit display. The user may enter their pin thereon. The system may authenticate it to enable user settings on the vehicle. Thereafter, the user settings may be removed or wiped from the system to prevent access to such information. The setting, for example, may be removed after the driver unbuckles their seatbelt and opens their door.

WIRELESS SENSING SYSTEM OF SEAT POSITION AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

The present disclosure discloses a wireless sensing system of a seat position and a control method of the sensing system, the system including a slave control unit provided for each seat to detect a seat belt fastening status and a seat occupancy status by a passenger, and a master control unit provided in a vehicle to receive data based on a radio signal of the slave control unit through radio communication with each slave control unit, calculate a position of each slave control unit based on the data received through the radio communication, and discontinue a position checking of a slave control unit when it is determined that the position of the slave control unit calculated for each slave control unit is outside the vehicle.
