Rail vehicle having an improved cooling system and method for its internal combustion engine
A cooling system for a rail vehicle having an internal combustion engine as a generator of electricity is operative to exchange heat between a cooling fluid circulating in a cooling circuit connected to the internal combustion engine and air located in an underfloor space of the rail vehicle. A heat exchanger and a fan, located in the underfloor space, are fluidly connected to an exhaust in a side skirt depending from a floor of the rail vehicle. The fan is operative to force air from the underfloor space through the heat exchanger and through the exhaust to an ambient space located on an external side of the side skirt.
VARIABLE TRANSFORMER HOLDING DEVICE FOR E-LOCOS
A transformer holding device for an electric locomotive having a transformer, includes at least one transformer support which is configured in such a way that the transformer can be displaced on an underframe of the electric locomotive during a maintenance operation so that the electric locomotive attains a predetermined center of gravity position. The transformer is fixed to the underframe of the electric locomotive during operation. A transformer arrangement for an electric locomotive and an electric locomotive are also provided.
ARRANGEMENT FOR POSITIONING A TRANSFORMER IN A RAIL VEHICLE
An arrangement for positioning a transformer in a rail vehicle, where the rail vehicle has a transformer support which fastens the transformer at a predetermined position in the rail vehicle. The transformer support is arranged on an underframe of the rail vehicle. The transformer is connected to the transformer support via a sliding guide, wherein a positional change of the transformer relative to the underframe of the rail vehicle can be set by way of the sliding guide. The sliding guide is a hydrostatic sliding guide.

Systems, devices, and/or methods for managing fencing
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide a railroad grid, a set of railcars, and a set of stations. The railroad grid comprises a set of tracks. The set of tracks can have a spacing between outer rail center lines of at least 50 feet. At least one of the set of railcars can be constructed to receive a set of tractor and trailer pairs.

Side Wall for a Rail Vehicle
A side wall for a rail vehicle body includes an outer skin, an insulating layer adjacent an inner face of the outer skin, a structural layer adjacent an inner face of the insulating layer, a finishing layer adjacent an inner face of the structural layer and a window. The insulating layer provides at least one of a thermal and an acoustical insulation. The structural layer has a longitudinally aligned top door frame member, vertical left and right door frame members and a plurality of diagonal structural members oriented at an angle comprised between 1 degree and 89 degrees from the top door frame member. The plurality of diagonal structural members defines a lattice structure having a plurality of openings there in between. The window covers at least a portion of one of the plurality of openings.
Car body for a passenger rail vehicle
A car body for a passenger rail vehicle includes a chassis having a front assembly at each vehicle end and a vehicle floor consisting of profiled metal sheet edged in a trapezoidal-like manner within the cross-section, wherein beads of the profiled metal sheet extend in a longitudinal direction of the car body, where the vehicle floor is fixedly connected to each front assembly at transition points to the front assembly via a connecting beam oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction of the car body, where the connecting beam is formed as a profiled metal sheet having a substantially L-shaped cross-section, and where the section of the connecting beam connected to a front assembly is equipped with a trapezoidal-like bead.
