Ballast tank decontamination system and method for watersports boats
One or more spray nozzles are positioned in the ballast tanks of watersports boat to allow application of a hot water spray to the internal surfaces thereof. A water conduit leading between the spray nozzles and a hull connection facilitates supply of water thereto. A pump and heater can be provided on the watersports boat connected in the water conduit to produce the hot water for decontamination onboard. A controller can be used to automate the decontamination regimen.
AUTOMATED CLEANING UNIT FOR BULK STORAGE AND TRANSPORT CONTAINERS
A cleaning unit configured for cleaning at least one storage container of a bulk transport vehicle, where the cleaning unit includes a chassis having a swivel connection defining a through-hole and a vacuum chamber, an air intake member and a pair of wheels attached to the chassis, where the wheels each include a motor and a vacuum attachment zone, and a processor on the chassis and coupled to the motor of each of the wheels, where a vacuum is generated within the vacuum chamber and in the vacuum attachment zones of the wheels so that the wheels suction and attach to an inner surface of a wall of the at least one storage container and the processor moves the chassis in multiple directions along the inner surface of the wall while the air intake member suctions and removes residual material from the inner surface of the wall.
Maintenance management method for a ship
The invention relates to a method for managing maintenance for a ship comprising a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. The method comprises the steps consisting in determining 310 a current filling level of the tank, determining 320 a current state of movement of the ship, determining 330 a current sloshing index IBi from the current filling level of the tank and the current state of movement of the ship, taking into account the position and the geometry of the tank, integrating 340 the determined current sloshing index IBi into a wear index IUi that takes into account a history of the sloshing indices. The wear index is then compared to a threshold in order to indicate if the tank needs to be inspected, depending on the result of the comparison.
