Universal passenger service unit

A personal service unit (PSU) includes a housing, a dial, and a flow control ring. The dial is rotatable about the housing. The housing includes a longitudinal axis therethrough and a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The dial includes a helical first portion along an interior wall of the dial. The flow control ring includes a helical second portion along an exterior wall of the flow control ring. The helical second portion rotatably mates with the helical first portion and rotation of the dial in a first direction moves the flow control ring in a first direction along the longitudinal axis to cause a first adjustment in airflow past the flow control ring and rotation of the flow control ring in an opposite direction moves the flow control ring in an opposite direction to cause a second adjustment in airflow past the flow control ring.

An aircraft includes a central wing accommodating passengers and/or freight and two lateral wings that pivot on the central wing about respective axes of rotation. The various wings obey the following geometric characteristics: 0.3×Long<L.sub.arg<L.sub.ong, 0.11×L.sub.ong<H.sub.aut<0.25×L.sub.ong, E.sub.nv>1.4×L.sub.ong, wherein L.sub.arg being the distance between the two axes, L.sub.ong being the length of the central wing, H.sub.aut being the height of the central wing, E.sub.nv being the wingspan of the aircraft. The axes of rotation are inclined by an angle relative to the vertical axis of the aircraft such that the lateral pivot from rear to front and vice versa so as to come closer to, or deploy on either side from, the fuselage.

An aircraft flooring system is provided, made up of a low-weight carpet tile which functions both as a moisture barrier and as the loop part of a hook-and-loop system, for coupling to a hook part of a hook-and-loop system, which is bound to an aircraft floor. Specifically, a barrier backing within the carpet tile, comprising a nonwoven fabric portion, is able to act as the moisture barrier and the loop part, which allows for coupling of the carpet tile with the floor, without the need to add additional loops to the carpet tile, thereby realizing savings in material cost and weight.

Quick loading curtain track for an aircraft cabin

A curtain track for an aircraft cabin enables curtain sliders to be quickly loaded into the curtain track. The curtain track is constructed of an elongate channel with a first end fitting on a first end of the channel and a second end fitting on a second end of the channel. There is a unique cutout in the bottom surface of the first end fitting that forms a curved slot surface that enables curtain sliders to be loaded into the channel of the curtain track through the cutout to quickly load the curtain onto the curtain track without disassembling any of the parts of the curtain track or removing the curtain track from its attachment to the aircraft cabin.

Optimally configured air-flow galley cart

A galley cart has a rear wall with an inlet port and an outlet port. A first divider has a first edge, wherein a first distance is defined between the first edge and a front wall. A second divider has a second edge, wherein a second distance is defined between the second edge and the front wall. The second distance is less than the first distance for control of the flow of cooling air.
