Self sealing bag in box cap assembly
A cap assembly comprising a body, a sealing membrane and a retaining ring. An opening is provided through the body and includes a recessed circumferential channel and a membrane engaging flange positioned proximate the recessed circumferential channel. The sealing membrane covers the opening and includes a body engaging flange and a pierceable surface. The retaining ring is positioned with the sealing membrane engagement surface in overlying engagement with the sealing membrane. Extension of the tab into the recessed circumferential channel of the body releasably maintains the overlying engagement and biases the retaining ring against the membrane. The inner wall structure of the retaining ring extends radially inward beyond the membrane engaging flange of the sealing membrane, to, in turn, protect the membrane.
ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE FOR RELEASING IONS
The present invention relates to an electrochemical device for releasing ions, comprising an electrical circuit comprising a first electrode and a second electrode adapted for providing a galvanic cell when the electrodes are exposed to a fluid constituting an electrolyte, and a boost converter adapted for amplifying a potential generated between the first and the second electrode. The electrical circuit further comprises a third electrode connected with an output side of the boost converter, wherein the second and the third electrode constitutes an electrolytic cell powered by the galvanic cell when the electrodes are exposed to a fluid. The present invention further relates to devices, such as a toothbrush or a shaver, adapted for being used in connection with a fluid, comprising such electrochemical device for releasing ions.

Closure with force amplifying lever
A closure, for rotatably coupling with a container to cover an opening of the container, includes a lid and a lever. The lid includes a primary panel defining a top surface, a skirt configured to couple with the container, and a stop positioned adjacent the top surface of the primary panel. The lid defines an outermost perimeter, and a footprint of the lid is defined within the outermost perimeter. The lever is rotably coupled with the lid to rotate relative to the lid between a use position and a storage position. When the lever is in the storage position, the lever is maintained substantially within the footprint of the lid. When the lever is in the use position, the lever extends outwardly beyond the outermost perimeter of the lid contacting the stop of the lid such that force applied to lever is transferred to the lid via the stop.
Adaptable bottle seal breaker cap
A bottle seal breaker cap breaks a foil substrate seal on the top of the body of a medicine or supplement bottle. It has one or more notches, preferably a single notch, extending up from the bottom peripheral lip of a bottle cap, including a cutting surface deep enough to cut into a sealed foil substrate installed for sanitary reasons on top of the body of a medicine or supplement bottle.
Bottle contents identification system
An identification system for identifying contents within a bottle. The identification system introduces a label upon a sidewall of a cap of the bottle or as a billboard extending upward from a top surface of the cap. The location improves the visibility of the indicia located on the label easing the identification process when the bottles are placed behind one another, on a shelf above eye level or any other location where the view of the content identifying indicia can potentially be obstructed from view. The label can be wrapped about the cap sidewall, adhered to the cap sidewall or be designed to include an upright billboard extending from the cap top surface. The billboard variant can transform from a planar stored configuration to an upright display configuration.
Food container top with integrally formed utensil
A molded article comprising a food container top, and a method for producing same, is disclosed. The method includes providing a mold for forming the molded article, wherein the mold defines a frame, a utensil located substantially coplanar with the frame and a frangible link between the frame and the utensil, providing an in-mold lidding film having a heat activatable lower surface, positioning the in-mold lidding film adjacent to an interior molding surface of the mold, molding the molded article from a heated thermoplastic resin contained within the mold, whereby the heated thermoplastic resin contacts a perimeter of the heat-activatable lower surface of the in-mold lidding film, and the perimeter of the heat-activatable lower surface of the in-mold lidding film is molded to the frame of the article such that the in-mold lidding film hermetically seals an opening defined by the frame.
Sample cup and method for mounting a thin film of material across a sample cup
A sample analysis cup, sample cup assembly, and method is provided including a cell body with an open top end including an outer top wall and an inner top wall, each extending axially and positioned in concentric relationship; a bottom wall extending from the outer top wall to the inner top wall, the bottom wall and the inner and outer top walls defining an internal reservoir therebetween; a transverse wall extending a selected distance from the inner top wall, the transverse wall partially closing the open top end; an open bottom end including an outer bottom wall and an inner bottom wall, each extending axially and positioned in concentric relationship, the outer and inner bottom walls defining an internal channel therebetween; and a hollow chamber defined between the open top end and the open bottom end.
Dispensing/measuring cap/cup
The dispensing cap/cup (26) has a sidewall (100) and a transverse web (102) spanning the sidewall to create a cup structure. The sidewall has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The sidewall has a plurality of fill level indicia (140, 142) along the interior surface. The fill level indicia comprise a raised boundary (150) and texturing (152) within the boundary.
Laminate structure to stabilize a dimensionally unstable layer
A seal laminate for closing a mouth of a container is provided. The seal laminate includes a heat seal layer, a structural base support layer and upper and lower dimensional stable layers. The heat seal layer bonds the laminate to a rim surrounding the container's mouth. The structural base support layer may be comprised of a pulp, paper, cardboard, chipboard, paperboard, or cellulose based material having a moisture content of about 3 to about 6 percent and is positioned above the heat seal layer. The upper and lower dimensionally stable layers are disposed above and below the structural base support layer and are sized to balance the vertical forces on the structural base support layer upon exposure to about 60 percent or greater relative humidity. The upper and lower dimensionally stable layers have a water vapor transmission rate of about 1.5 g/100 in.sup.2/24 hours or below.
