Expandable polystyrene-based resin particles may include a styrene-based monomer, a polysiloxane-containing macro monomer, and a coating composition having a melting point of 40° C. or greater. A coefficient of static friction of a foamed molded product, obtained by pre-expanding the expandable polystyrene-based resin particles and molding the pre-expanded expandable polystyrene-based resin particles, may be 4.0 or less. The expandable polystyrene-based resin particles may have a surface layer part that contains polysiloxane as a main component.

RESIN COMPOSITION, OPTICAL FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING OPTICAL FIBER

A resin composition for coating an optical fiber comprises: a base resin containing a photopolymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator; and hydrophobic inorganic oxide particles, wherein the photopolymerizable compound comprises urethane (meth)acrylate and aliphatic epoxy (meth)acrylate, and the content of the aliphatic epoxy (meth)acrylate is 1.0% by mass or more and 45% by mass or less based on the total amount of the photopolymerizable compound.

RECORDING A LATENT HOLOGRAPHIC GRATING AND AMPLIFICATION OF ITS DYNAMIC RANGE
20220299868 · 2022-09-22 ·

Recording a volume Bragg grating is effectuated by a recording medium formed from a matrix polymer precursor including a controlled radical reactive group, a photoactive base monomer, and a photoinitiator system more reactive with the photoactive base monomer than the controlled radical reactive group in the presence of an excitation source, and a photoredox catalyst. The medium is cured thereby forming a support matrix from the matrix polymer precursor. Exposure to the excitation source through a pattern causes the photoinitiator to polymerize the base monomer, forming a latent grating of the Bragg grating. The latent grating has bright and dark fringes determined by the pattern. The concentration of polymerized base polymer is higher in the bright fringes than in the dark fringes. The exposing causes a portion of the matrix to diffuse into the dark fringes. The support matrix has a lower refractive index than the polymerized photoactive base monomer.

A photochromic polyrotaxane compound which comprises an axial molecule and a plurality of cyclic molecules clathrating the axial molecule, wherein at least one side chain containing a photochromic moiety is bonded to at least one of the cyclic molecules, and a curable composition comprising the photochromic polyrotaxane compound and a polymerizable compound.

Curable composition, laminate, and automobile headlamp lens

Provided are: a curable composition that makes it possible to form a cured film having excellent wear resistance and weather resistance; a laminate that is provided with the cured film; and an automobile headlamp lens. The curable composition makes it possible to obtain a cured film in which the relationship between a haze value (ΔHx) that is obtained by a wear resistance test and a haze value (ΔHy) that is obtained by a weather resistance test satisfies ΔHy≤−0.3 ΔHx+5.0 when a cured film having a thickness of 10 μm is produced.
