An adhesive tape with high high-load holding power, initial adhesive strength, and repeelability is provided. An adhesive layer of the adhesive tape contains filler particles and a triblock copolymer with a repeating unit represented by the following general formula (1):

A and C independently denote an alkyl methacrylate monomer unit and B denotes an alkyl acrylate monomer unit. p, q, and r independently denote the degree of polymerization of their monomer units respectively. A and C may be the same or may denote an alkyl methacrylate monomer unit with a different chemical structure, and * denotes a bonding arm to another atom. A relationship D50/T between an average particle size D50 of the filler particles and an average thickness T of the adhesive layer ranges from 0.05 to 1.0.

A composition with improved storage viscosity is provided. The composition contains a (meth)acrylic-based copolymer (A′) and an epoxy compound (C). A molecule of the (meth)acrylic-based copolymer (A′) includes an XY diblock structure or an XYX triblock structure therein. A number of repeating units which are derived from a (meth)acrylic ester monomer having an alkoxysilyl group and are included in an X block is 1.0 or more on average; an amount of repeating units which are derived from a (meth)acrylic ester monomer having an alkoxysilyl group and are included in a Y block is 0% by weight to 3% by weight, with respect to a weight of all repeating units included in the Y block. A molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of the (meth)acrylic-based copolymer (A′) is 1.8 or less.

An adhesive composition of one aspect of the present invention contains a block copolymer composed of a polymer block A which includes a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a linear or branched side chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and has a number average molecular weight of 2,000 to 10,000, a polymer block B which includes at least one of an aromatic vinyl compound unit and a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a cyclic structure, and a polymer block C which includes a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a linear or branched side chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, wherein the mass ratio (B/C) between the polymer block B and the polymer block C is within a range from 5.0/95.0 to 30.0/70.0, the mass ratio (A/(B+C)) between the polymer block A and the total of the polymer block B and the polymer block C is within a range from 0.1/99.9 to 5.0/95.0, and the acid value of the block copolymer is at least 8 mgKOH/g.

An adhesive composition of one aspect of the present invention contains a block copolymer composed of a polymer block A which includes a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a linear or branched side chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and has a number average molecular weight of 2,000 to 10,000, a polymer block B which includes at least one of an aromatic vinyl compound unit and a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a cyclic structure, and a polymer block C which includes a (meth)acrylate ester unit having a linear or branched side chain of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, wherein the mass ratio (B/C) between the polymer block B and the polymer block C is within a range from 5.0/95.0 to 30.0/70.0, the mass ratio (A/(B+C)) between the polymer block A and the total of the polymer block B and the polymer block C is within a range from 0.1/99.9 to 5.0/95.0, and the acid value of the block copolymer is at least 8 mgKOH/g.

Provided is an adhesive composition that is capable of forming an adhesive layer having excellent electrical properties (low relative permittivity and low dielectric loss tangent) and excellent adhesiveness (adhesion properties) after heat curing, can improve adhesiveness (adhesion properties) in a laminating step, can prevent the peeling and lifting of layers during temporary fixing and roll-to-roll work, also has a high crosslink density, and does not cause heat resistance, solvent resistance and the like to deteriorate. The adhesive composition contains a bismaleimide resin and a styrene-based elastomer.

Packaging adhesives comprising low volatile tackifier compositions

A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.
