NICKEL-CHROMIUM-IRON ALLOYS WITH IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO STRESS CORROSION CRACKING IN NUCLEAR ENVIRONMENTS
A Ni—Cr—Fe alloy with improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking in nuclear environments, the alloy comprising 23-28 wt % Cr, 25-35 wt % Ni, <0.03 wt % C, <0.70 wt % Si, <1.0 wt % Mn, <0.015 wt % S, >0.35 wt % Ti, 0.15-0.45 wt % Al, <0.75 wt % Cu, and balance Fe and incidental impurities. The alloy may be used in steam generator tubing of a nuclear reactor. A method of producing an article includes: providing the alloy as disclosed herein; forming the alloy into the article by cold working the alloy to 20%; and heat treating the article.

Ni-based superalloy and method for manufacturing Ni-based superalloy
Provided are a Ni-based superalloy for stably obtaining high tensile strength and a method for manufacturing the same. Provided are: a Ni-based superalloy having a composition comprising, in mass %, C: up to 0.10%, Si: up to 0.5%, Mn: up to 0.5%, P: up to 0.05%, S: up to 0.050%, Fe: up to 45%, Cr: 14.0 to 22.0%, Co: up to 18.0%, Mo: up to 8.0%, W: up to 5.0%, Al: 0.10 to 2.80%, Ti: 0.50 to 5.50%, Nb: up to 5.8%, Ta: up to 2.0%, V: up to 1.0%, B: up to 0.030%, Zr: up to 0.10%, Mg: up to 0.005%, and the balance of Ni with inevitable impurities, and has a grain orientation spread (GOS) of at least 0.7° as an intragranular misorientation parameter measured by an SEM-EBSD technique; and a method for manufacturing the same.
CERAMIC CUTTER MATERIAL WITH A PIEZOELECTRIC EFFECT AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND CUTTING TOOL
A ceramic tool material, in particular with piezoelectric effect and a preparation method thereof, and a cutting tool. The ceramic tool material includes the following raw materials by weight: 30-70 parts of matrix material, 30-70 parts of piezoelectric material, 5-10 parts of binder, and 10-20 parts of reinforcing phase and can be made into cutting tools. The cutting tool has a piezoelectric effect and excellent mechanical properties and can convert the cutting force signal into the charge signal during machining. By collecting charge signals, a cutting force can be measured and ceramic cutting tool condition can be monitored. Cutting force measurement function and high mechanical properties are integrated. A ceramic tool material with piezoelectric effect can measure the cutting force on the premise by meeting the cutting performance requirements.

High Z permanent magnets for radiation shielding
A magnetic shielding material includes a material comprising manganese bismuth (MnBi) and tungsten (W), where a ratio of MnBi:W is in a range of 50:50 to about 70:30. A radiation shielding product includes a part including manganese bismuth (MnBi) and tungsten (W), and a plurality of layers having a defined thickness in a z-direction, wherein each layer extends along an x-y plane perpendicular to the z-direction. At least some of the plurality of layers form a functional gradient in the z-direction and/or along the x-y plane, and the functional gradient is defined by a first layer comprising a ratio of MnBi:W being less than 100:0 and an nth layer above the first layer comprising a ratio of MnBi:W greater than 0:100.

An alloy includes Nb and Mo as a first element group, and at least two elements selected from Ta, W, Ti, Hf and Zr, as a second element group, wherein when the total of the first element group and the second element group is 100 at. %, a content range of each of the elements contained is 5 to 35 at. %; and has such a resistance with respect to at least one of Al, Cu and Zn that a lattice mismatch therewith is 13% or more, and a migration barrier energy of dislocation is 310 kJ/mol or more.
