NOZZLE BLOCK PROVIDED WITH NOZZLE CLOGGING PREVENTION MEANS, AND ELECTROSPINNING DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a nozzle block applied to an electrospinning device, which includes a radiation nozzle having a hollow radiation needle for discharging a spinning solution to the outside; a means of piercing having a diameter smaller than that of the radiation needle, at least one of which is coaxially disposed inside the radiation needle; and a reciprocating mechanism for reciprocating the means of piercing and the radiation needle relative to each other, thereby preventing the solution from being solidified at the tip of the radiation nozzle or the radiation nozzle from being blocked by external contaminants even if the electrospinning process is temporarily interrupted in the middle.
SUSTAINABLE TIRE WASTE AEROGEL WITH TUNABLE FLEXIBILITY MADE FROM RECYCLED TIRES FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS
A method of manufacturing an elastic polymer aerogel material includes dissolving tire waste, the tire waste including natural rubber, synthetic polymers, steel, fillers, and curing systems, in a solvent to form a first mixture and dissolving a polymer having at least one double carbon-carbon bond in the solvent to form a second mixture. The first mixture and the second mixture are combined, wherein the tire waste reacts with the polymer having at least one double carbon-carbon bond to form a reactant gel. The reactant gel undergoes a solvent exchange followed by freeze drying to form the elastic polymer aerogel material, wherein the elastic polymer aerogel material defines a 3D porous structure.
Electrospun collagen-graphene-polymer composite nanofibers for supercapacitors
Disclosed herein is a composite material that is formed from a polymer, acetylated collagen and graphene, which can be used as a super-capacitor material. Also disclosed herein are methods of making said composite material and its intermediates, as well as a supercapacitor made using said material.
Electrospinning apparatus and systems and methods thereof
A portable, hand-held electrospinning or electrospraying apparatus and system, method, and portions thereof, comprised of a durable portion of the hand-held apparatus and a consumable portion of the hand-held apparatus. The consumable portion of the hand-held apparatus, which may contain the solution to be output in electrospin or electrospray fashion, may be replaced in whole or in part to provide additional or alternative solution. A base station may be provided, and can output high voltage and communication signals to the hand-held apparatus to enable the electrospin or electrospray operation by the hand-held apparatus.
Method for preparing a functionally gradient material for guided periodontal hard and soft tissue regeneration
A functionally gradient material for guided periodontal hard and soft tissue regeneration includes a 3D printed scaffold layer and an electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The content of hydroxyapatite in the 3D printed scaffold layer is higher than the content of hydroxyapatite in the electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The pore size of the 3D printed scaffold layer is larger than the pore size of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The pore size of the 3D printed scaffold layer is 100-1000 μm, and the fiber diameter of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer is 300-5000 nm. The electrospun fibrous membrane layer is in a random distribution or an oriented arrangement or has a mesh structure. The thickness of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer is 0.08-1 mm.
METHOD FOR FABRICATION OF 3D PRINTED PART WITH HIGH THROUGH-PLANE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY
A method for fabrication of a 3D printed part with high through-plane thermal conductivity is provided, where pure polymer particles and a carbon-based filler for heat conduction are subjected to milling and mixing in the mechanochemical reactor disclosed in Chinese patent ZL 95111258.9 under the controlled milling conditions including milling pan surface temperature, milling pan pressure, and number of milling cycles; then a resulting mixture is extruded to obtain 3D printing filaments; and finally, the 3D printing filaments are used to fabricate the 3D printed part with high through-plane thermal conductivity through fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing. The fabrication method can realize the fabrication of a 3D printed part with high through-plane thermal conductivity through the FDM 3D printing technology, features simple process, continuous production, etc., and is suitable for the industrial production of thermally-conductive parts with complex structures.
Synthetic implant device replicating natural tissue structure and methods of making same
A composite implant device for use in a medical application, comprising a synthetically-derived mesh that mimics particular critical aspects of a biologically-derived mesh. The composite implant device can be used for the reinforcement and reconstruction of tissues within the body and can be comprised of a majority of synthetic components and minority of naturally-derived components which mimic the structure and function of a naturally-derived mesh.
Graded porous scaffolds as immunomodulatory wound patches
The present invention provides porous biomimetic scaffolds and methods for making the same. The scaffolds have graded pore sizes for enhanced cell penetration. The scaffolds are useful for wound regeneration by facilitating cell penetration into the scaffold interior and due to their inherent immunomodulatory effects. The scaffolds have tissue modeling specification by mimicking the inherent stratified structure of certain tissues.
