Double edge underground base for static structure
An underground base configured for supporting an above-ground static structure that has a pair of plates each having a distal end, a proximal end, and a body portion between the distal end and the proximal end. The pair of plates are connected to each other to define a box section and a pair of flanges extending outwardly from opposing vertices of the box section. The base further has a plurality of brackets each connected to one of the plates at the proximal end, a base plate connected to the plurality of brackets, and an adjustment plate connected to the base plate via one or more adjustment fasteners. The adjustment plate is movable relative to the base plate via the one or more adjustment fasteners to adjust an orientation of the adjustment plate relative to the base plate.
Adjustable pile holding system, vessel and pile installation method
A pile holding system is to be mounted on a deck of a vessel, e.g. for installation of a pile adapted to support an offshore wind turbine. The pile holding system is configured to support the pile in an upright position at a pile installation location next to the vessel. A vessel is provided with such a pile holder system. A method for installation of a pile and a pile holder are also disclosed.
EARTH WALL HAVING A POCKET STRUCTURE FOR RECEIVING VEGETATION
A pocket structure for receiving containerized plants is sloped and hung from a wire of a wire basket. The pocket structure includes hooks, an irrigation fitting and corresponding drip channel to transmit water toward the rear of the pocket, and slots in the walls. The mesh units include braces and are sized for shipping. An earth wall is formed of the mesh units and pockets, and includes irrigation tubing.
Landscaping walls, systems and methods
Landscaping walls, systems and methods of manufacturing and installation of such walls include in aspects a fiberglass based wall having a decorative front side and a back side having at least one conduit where the conduit receives a cable or fastener extending outward from both ends of the conduit to connect to a stake to be inserted into ground adjacent the wall. The conduit in one aspect is a PVC tube mounted vertically against the wall and in aspects is embedded within the wall. The conduit allows for self-adjustment of the cable while also providing solid anchoring of the wall to prevent movement. The wall and system is lightweight, good looking and easy to install.
PROTECTIVE DEVICE, SLOPE SECURING MEANS AS WELL AS USE OF AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE PROTECTIVE DEVICE
A protective device, in particular an anti-erosion protective device, preferably a geotextile, is at least configured to be planarly spread over a surface, in particular an earth surface, that is to be protected, and which is at least largely implemented of a plurality of synthetic fibers interconnected via force-fit connection and/or substance-to-substance bond and arranged in such a way that they form an essentially three-dimensional structuring, wherein at least a large portion of the synthetic fibers are at least largely biodegradable.
CONNECTOR FOR SOIL REINFORCING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
An apparatus, system and method of connecting an earthen formation to a facing of a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) structure in which a connector includes a single piece of wire that defines an opening for coupling the connector to an anchor and a pair parallel legs for mechanically connecting the to a soil reinforcing element.
Pumping unit bases with driven piles
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a pumping unit base and methods for operating with the pumping unit base. The pumping unit base may include a plurality of driven piles installed in the ground, and a metal platform fixedly attached to the plurality of driven piles, wherein the metal platform is positioned above the ground. The metal platform may be removed from the driven piles and reinstalled to the driven piles.
TUBULAR KNITTED GEOTEXTILES IMPLEMENTING NON-BIOMASS BASED INERT THREADS, METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME, AND EROSION SEDIMENT AND POLLUTION CONTROL PRODUCTS MADE FROM THE SAME
An erosion, sediment and pollution control product comprises a geotextile which includes at least 10% non-plastic non-biomass based inert threads, in particular basalt or glass threads, and cellulose based filler within the tubular geotextile. The geotextile may be knitted. A method of making a tubular knitted geotextile comprises the steps of: supplying non-plastic, non-biomass based inert threads, such as basalt or glass threads, to a circular knitting machine and knitting a tubular substrate which includes at least 10% non-plastic non-biomass based inert threads.
