SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POINT OF USE WATER MODIFICATION
A water use management system may be installed in a setting that contains a primary infrastructure for water use to provide an alternate, modular infrastructure for water use. Fresh water used at various points of use, such as a shower or sink, may be modified by a point of use water conditioner. Water may be modified at the point of use based upon pre-configured routines or manual user selections. Treatments performed on the water may include quality treatments, such as modifying the pH or mineral content, and may also include experience treatments, such as the addition of scents, colors, carbonation, or health and beauty supplements. Additives used during treatment are provided in cartridges that may be inserted and removed from the water conditioner. Cartridges may self-identify when inserted, to aid in compatibility and usability determinations and recycling/recertification processes.
Water delivery apparatus with multi-channel hose
A hot and cold water delivery apparatus comprising a multi-channel hose for simultaneously carrying hot and cold water to a water delivery device such as the spray head of a shower. The preferred hose is formed from an extruded length of material with a longitudinally running dividing wall to create the channels. A shut off valve may be provided for selectably connecting the channels to a source of hot and cold water respectively.
Jet regulator
The invention relates to a jet regulator (1) having an annular or sleeve-shaped jet regulator housing (2), on the outlet end side of which there is held an outlet disc (3) which can be inserted into the jet regulator housing (2), which (3) has a perforated, grid and/or mesh structure with throughflow openings (5), wherein the outlet disc (3) bears a manually deformable dimensionally elastic plastics lining (4), and wherein the plastics lining (4) is of pot-shaped design. In order to reduce the production expenditure, it is provided according to the invention that the plastics lining (4), with an upwardly drawn circumferential wall (16) of its pot shape, provides sealing between the outer circumference of the outlet disc (3) and the housing inner circumference of the jet regulator housing (2).
Washing unit
A passive water-and-energy saving washing unit is provided having a first shower sub-assembly and a second shower sub-assembly. The first shower sub-assembly comprises a first water reservoir, for holding a predetermined volume of water for washing at least part of a body, a water heater, for heating water for the first water reservoir, and a shower head, in fluid communication with the first water reservoir for receiving water from the reservoir and providing water spray on the body part. The second shower sub-assembly comprises a second, grey water reservoir, for collecting the sprayed water from the first shower head and running off the body part, a shower head, in fluid communication with the second water reservoir for receiving the water from the reservoir and providing water spray on the body part, and a water pump, for pumping the water from the second water reservoir to the second shower head. A corresponding kit and a method for washing at least part of body with a washing unit are also provided.
PROCESS FOR COATING AN OBJECT, USE OF NANOPARTICLES AND AN OBJECT WITH A COATED SURFACE
A method for coating an object for equipping a building (1), in particular building hardware, at least having the steps outlined below: a) providing the object (1); and b) coating a surface (2) of the object (1) with a layer (3), wherein the coating is performed using a PVD process, in which antimicrobial or antiviral nanoparticles (4) are at least partially embedded into the layer (3). In addition, a use of nanoparticles, in particular for a PVD process for coating a surface (2) of an object (1), and an object (1) having a coated surface (2) are disclosed.
SANITARY DEVICE HAVING AT LEAST ONE DISPENSER FOR A LIQUID
A sanitary device (1), comprising: at least one dispenser (2, 3) for a liquid; a basin (4) having a waste (5) for the liquid, and a first thermostat (6) to which at least part of the liquid discharged via the waste (5) can be supplied as circulating liquid, wherein the first thermostat (6) can be used to mix warm water or cold water to the circulating liquid to form a temperature-controlled circulating liquid, and wherein the temperature-controlled circulating liquid can be supplied to the at least one dispenser (2, 3).
METHOD OF OPERATION TO INCREASE THE WATER EFFICIENCY OF SYSTEM FOR DOMOTIC CONTROL OF A PLUMBING INSTALLATION
A water control system for the cold and hot water plumbing installations, for consumption or heating and gray water in a home, premises or building increases water and/or energy efficiency of the installation by means of a method of operation which reduces the water consumption or energy used in its consumption and treatment. The method includes detecting and controlling water leaks, avoiding consumption of cold water which is produced while waiting for hot water to come out, reducing the energy required for consuming hot water, reducing consumption of water when it is used for the toilet together with a soap, foam or similar, measuring and controlling the proliferation of Legionella bacteria and other microorganisms, cleaning pipes and in general monitoring the control variables of a plumbing installation and its visualization and interaction by a user or a smart and autonomous IT system.
AUTOMATIC WATER FAUCET DEVICE
An automatic water faucet device 1 for automatically discharging water when an object to be detected is detected has: a sensor 14 that detects the object; a first water discharge part 12 that performs foamy water discharge; a second water discharge part 13 that performs spray water discharge; and a controller 40 that performs control for switching between the foamy water discharge from the first water discharge part 12 and the spray water discharge from the second water discharge part 13, wherein the controller 40 performs the foamy water discharge from the first water discharge part 12 while the sensor 14 detects the object, and when the sensor 14 no longer detects the object, the controller 40 stops this foamy water discharge, and thereafter performs spray water discharge from the second water discharge part 13 for a predetermined period.
WATER FAUCET DEVICE
An automatic water faucet device 1 includes: an electrolysis tank 37 that electrolyzes water to generate electrolyzed water; a second water discharge part 13 for discharging the electrolyzed water, a second flow path 18 that extends from the electrolysis tank 37 to the second water discharge part 13; a second solenoid valve 28 that switches between supply and blocking of normal water with respect to the electrolysis tank 37, and a controller 40 that controls the electrolysis tank 37 and the second solenoid valve 28. The controller 40 energizes the electrolysis tank 37 to discharge the electrolyzed water and thereafter stops the energization of the electrolysis tank 37 and maintains an open state of the second solenoid valve 28, to stop the supply of the electrolyzed water to the second flow path 18 and to supply normal water to the second flow path 18.
