Molded plastic access door
A molded access door assembly for an access opening in a wall or ceiling is provided. It includes a molded frame with a frame channel forming the outside of the access door assembly. The frame channel has spaced apart exterior and interior walls joined at the top edge by a top wall and a lip extending from the bottom edge of the inner wall into the interior of the molded access door assembly to define an opening. The lip provides a stop rest for the door in the closed position so that the door is capable of being attached to the wall or ceiling. The assembly also includes a door having a top surface and a first part of a hinge assembly along one edge of the top surface which cooperates with a matching second part of the hinge assembly along one edge of the frame channel to allow the door to move between an open and a closed position.

LOCK FOR LEFT OR RIGHT HAND OPERATION
The present disclosure relates to a lock (1) for a door comprising a housing (10) having a circular opening (11) in which a radial protrusion (12) is arranged, and a guide ring (20) arranged in the opening. The guide ring comprises a left locking means (22, 24) and a right locking means (22, 26). The radial protrusion is in a first position of the guide ring located between the left locking means and the right locking means on the guide ring. The guide ring is configured to be rotatable from the first position in a first direction (L) into a left locking position such that the protrusion engages with the left locking means so as to lock the guide ring relative to the housing, and configured to be rotatable from the first position in a second direction (R), opposite the first direction, into a right locking position such that the protrusion engages with the right locking means so as to lock the guide ring relative to the housing. A lock which after arrangement to a door may be configured for left or right hand operation is thereby provided.

Latch arrangement
A latch arrangement for a sliding wing has a latching member that is movable by magnetic force from first position in which it is at least partially retracted within a latch housing, to a second position in which it extends at least partially out of the housing, to be received in a strike. The strike comprises a magnet or ferromagnetic arrangement to attract the latching member into a receiving and engaging formation of the strike when the sliding wing is located at or adjacent the strike.
MAGNETIC LOCKSET
An exemplary lockset includes a mortise case, a magnet assembly mounted in the mortise case, and a manual actuator operable to move the magnet assembly between a coupling position in which a first magnet of the magnet assembly is aligned with a reference point and a decoupling position in which the first magnet is misaligned with the reference point. In certain embodiments, the magnet assembly further includes a second magnet having an opposite polarity as the first magnet, and the second magnet is misaligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the coupling position and is aligned with the reference point when the magnet assembly is in the decoupling position.
Positive dual-locking latch and method of use
A positive dual-locking latch for use in combination with a door and including a latch base; a handle assembly at least partially housed within and translatable relative to the latch base; and a latch assembly mechanically coupled to the handle assembly. The handle assembly includes a handle member at least partially housed within a housing member, with the handle assembly being biased by a handle spring in a direction away from the latch base. The latch assembly includes at least one latch spring and a latch member mechanically coupled to the at least one latch spring. The handle assembly and the latch assembly are operably configured to translate the positive dual-locking latch between a first locked configuration and a second locked configuration when the handle member receives a pushing force, and between the second locked configuration and an unlocked configuration when the handle member receives a pulling force.

Molded plastic access door
A molded access door assembly for an access opening in a covering material of a wall or ceiling is disclosed. The door assembly includes a frame defining a frame opening. The frame is positionable against the covering material with the frame opening in alignment with the access opening. The frame includes a lip extending about a perimeter of the frame opening for bearing against the covering material adjacent the access opening, and a plurality of fastener holes passing through the lip for receiving fasteners to secure the frame against the covering material. The door assembly further includes a molded door hingedly connected to the frame. The door is movable between an open position providing access to the frame opening and the fastener holes, and a closed position in which the door covers the frame opening and an entirety of the fastener holes.
