Electronics for a thin bed array induction logging system

A logging tool electronics system is disclosed with noise minimization features and pulse compression signal processing techniques to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of array induction logging tools. The borehole is radiated with a magnetic field produced by a configurable multi-frequency and/or multi-amplitude sine wave signal stimulus section driving a fully differential single transmitter coil. Received signals from multiple mutually balanced fully differential receiver arrays are processed by receiver signal chains using adaptive algorithms under firmware control. The received signals are used to determine the conductivity and resistivity of the formation surrounding the borehole.

A system includes a utility chassis for use with rock drills for automatic and safe drilling of target surfaces. The utility chassis has a lightweight vertical frame member with an overall center of gravity that allows for manual lift handles to be arrayed about the center of gravity for easy loading and unloading onto transportation vehicles without the need for separate heavy machinery. The utility chassis incorporates a spring-centered closed position valve for drill rotation and a three-way spring-centered retract with two open feed positions valve for increased safety. A hinged drill rod guide cap is incorporated into the drill rod guide for quick removal of the chassis from lodged or broken drill rods. The chassis is lighter, more ergonomic, and safer than prior art chasses.

MULTI-TOOTH JAW, TORQUE STOPPER DEVICE AND REPAIR KIT THEREOF FOR PREVENTING ROTATION OF DOWNHOLE TOOLS SUSPENDED IN WELLBORE CASING
20210404276 · 2021-12-30 ·

A multi-tooth jaw for a torque stopper device prevents rotation of downhole tools suspended in a wellbore casing. The jaw includes a base for positioning adjacent an outside wall of the torque stopper and a hinge connection allowing the jaw to pivot around an axis of rotation running lengthwise through the base. The jaw further includes a plurality of radial tips, i.e., teeth, each a different distance from the axis of rotation. When viewed from a side with the axis of rotation being a point around which the jaw pivots, the tips are in ascending order of distance with a first, leading tip having a shortest distance from the axis of rotation as the jaw pivots from a stowed to a deployed position. A torque stopper device with the multi-tooth jaw supports a range of casing internal diameters. A repair kit allows swapping a one-tooth jaw with the multi-tooth jaw.

A vibration damping device for use with a downhole tool having a tool axis may comprise a body coupled to a drill string component. The body may include a longitudinal bore therethrough and at least one lateral bore, the lateral bore having a bore opening and an end wall; an inertial mass slidably disposed in the lateral bore; and a cap mechanically coupled to the lateral bore. The lateral bore may be orthogonal to a radius of the body and may lie in a plane normal to the tool axis. The body may include a plurality of lateral bores, which may be in a co-planar arrangement. Each lateral bore may be blind hole positioned in the body so that it does not intersect the longitudinal bore or another lateral bore. A cap may enclose a lateral bore and fluid may be contained in the bore by the cap.

WEEP-HOLE DRILLING

A method for creating a weep hole is disclosed. The weep hole is drilled in an uncured, concrete, hollow core structural component having one or more external surfaces and one or more internal surfaces. The weep hole is drilled using a drilling apparatus comprising a drill, a rotating drill bit with an internal fluid passageway, a power source, and a pressurized fluid source. Loose, uncured concrete material deposited near the weep hole on the one or more internal surface as a result of drilling the weep hole is removed by releasing pressurized fluid which flows from the pressurized fluid source, through the drill and the rotating drill bit.

Electric drill

The disclosure provides an electric drill comprising: a housing; a motor for driving the electric drill to work; an output assembly for outputting the power of the motor; a first brake assembly including a driving disc and a driven disc respectively arranged on the transmission shaft and the output shaft, the driving disc being meshed with the driven disc to transmit power in a non-braking state, and the driving disc and the driven disc being displaced in the axial direction to be separated from each other in a braking state to stop transmitting power; and a second brake assembly including a mass block and a micro switch connected with the motor, and in a braking state, the mass block displacing and triggering the micro switch to stop the motor.

EARTH AUGER

The disclosure provides an earth auger comprising a supporting assembly, a drill pipe assembly including a drill pipe, a driving assembly arranged on the supporting assembly to drive the drill pipe assembly to work and a brake assembly including a trigger component that brakes the driving assembly and a brake lever connected through a first pivot and matched with the trigger component. The projection part of the brake lever on the plane perpendicular to the axis of the drill pipe is located outside the projection of the supporting assembly on the plane perpendicular to the axis of the drill pipe. The earth auger provided by the disclosure can effectively prevent accidents and improve the safety performance of the earth auger.
