Method and system for retaining a fastener
An apparatus for securing a panel to a structure is provided. In one embodiment, the fastener includes a fastener having a fastener head and a threaded tail, and the fastener may be disposed through a structure and an external panel. The apparatus also includes a retainer housing positioned on the fastener head, where the retainer housing is detached from the fastener. A spring engaging the fastener and the retainer housing is also included within the retainer housing.
Safety screw assembly and operating key thereof
This invention relates to a safety screw assembly and operating key. The head of the screw is movable between a position where it is rotationally integral with the body and a position where it is freely rotatable. The head of the screw has on one face, an opening or a relief, that matches a relief or an imprint formed on part of the operating key. One end of the body of the screw has a stator and a rotor. The head of the screw forms a housing for receiving the rotor, and the assembly forms a translationally movable securing component which is movable between a loose position, where the head is freely rotatable and the rotor and the stator are rotationally integral, and a locked position, where the head and the stator are rotationally integral, where the key has at least one component for setting the rotor into rotation.
Tamper proof plug
A tamper proof plug comprising a circular plug of material having a first side and a second side, with a first plurality of threads on the outer circumference to enable the circular plug to screw into a second plurality of inner circumference threads of a valve outlet that can control the flow of a liquid, wherein the circular plug has a polygon indentation in the middle of the first side of the plug, which is accessible to a tool having a protrusion the fits the size and shape of the polygon indentation, that allows a torque to be applied to the circular plug to screw the circular plug into a valve or unscrew the circular plug from a valve.
Fall-Proof Component for Screw, Fall-Proof Screw Assembly, Fall-Proof Screw-Nut Assembly and Corresponding Part, Combination Structure and Assembly
Herein disclosed is a fall-proof component for a screw, comprising: a first structure configured to act on a portion of the screw to stop the screw; and a second structure configured to be fitted and latched onto a part which is to be fixed by the screw; wherein the first structure and the second structure cooperate with each other to prevent the screw from falling and the fall-proof component is configured to be adapted to be disposed adjacent to a head of the screw in a fitted status. Also disclosed are a corresponding fall-proof screw assembly, a corresponding fall-proof screw-nut assembly, a corresponding part suitable for the fall-proof screw assembly, a corresponding combination structure and a corresponding assembly. According to the disclosure, the fall-proof component has a simple structure and a low cost and can be reusable.
Apparatus for a captured fastener assembly with expanding grommet
A fastener assembly that is configured to securely couple to a component includes a bolt, a limiter, and a grommet. The bold has a head, a shaft, and a medial ridge disposed around a portion of the shaft. The limiter has a brim and a tube, with the tube extending away from the brim. A grommet has a central passage extending through a top section. The top section further includes a central wall and a bottom surface. At least one tab extends from the bottom surface.
FASTENER ASSEMBLY
A fastener assembly includes a threaded fastener having a threaded shaft and a head coupled to the threaded shaft, an engagement member having a central cavity and an outer profile having a plurality of notches cut therein to define an engagement feature that is engageable by a torquing member, a retention member configured to engage the engagement member and retain the head of the threaded fastener within the central cavity of the engagement member, and a lower base threaded on the threaded shaft and into abutment with the engagement member and/or the retention member.
SECURITY MOUNTING BRACKET DEVICE FOR A CROSSBAR
Provided herein is a security mounting bracket device that can be used to securely connect a crossbar to a mounted object. The device is shaped to form a contoured fit with the crossbar and adapted for use with a security nut and bolt rendering both nut and bolt unexposed outside of the device and inaccessible to tools that may be used to forcibly remove the mounted object. The security mounting bracket device can be used as an antitheft device as a security socket is required to remove the nut form the security mounting bracket. The contoured fit reduces the movement of the crossbar within the security mounting bracket device therefore reducing vibrationally induced failure of the mount and loss of mounted object. The security mounting bracket device smooth edges and unexposed nut and bolt also make it a safer bracket for the user in assembly. The size and contour of the security mounting bracket device can be customized to connect any shape of a crossbar to a mounted object such as a guide rail attached to a platform or to a platform directly. The crossbar can be mounted perpendicularly or at other angles, to the security mounting bracket device or and can be used to connect a plurality of mounted objects for example platforms for tents or cargo containers.
Captive fastener with floating bolt
A captive fastener including a bushing having a body portion and an internal bore extending through the body portion A snap ring is mounted within the internal bore. A fastener having an elongated shaft is mounted within the bore and is adapted to reciprocate within the bore between retracted and extended positions. The elongated shaft has a shank diameter and threads formed on one end of the fastener. The snap ring engages the bolt when the shaft is extended and retracted. The fastener has a shank diameter which is 0.020 inches to 0.060 inches shorter than the bore diameter so that the fastener can be moved laterally within the bore.
ROTATION DEVICE
A rotation device capable of improving safety includes a plurality of screw holes that each extend along the radial direction of a rotation member and each has an opening on a surface of the rotation member; and a stopper for preventing a screw disposed inside the screw hole from protruding to the outside of the opening, without interfering with insertion of a tool, for turning the screw, into the screw hole.
Centering screw for aligning two elements relative to each other, centering assembly
A centering screw for aligning two elements, particularly a workpiece and a carrier, relative to each other, the centering screw having a first end section with a first outside diameter and a first length, and a second end section with a second outside diameter and a second length, the first end section having a first thread, at least in sections, and a cone being provided for the centering. In this case, the centering screw has the cone in an intermediate section between the first end section and the second end section, the cone having a diameter changing along the intermediate section, the diameter at an end of the cone facing away from the first end section being larger than the first outside diameter, and the end of the cone facing away from the first end section being assigned an axial stop facing away from the first end section.
