Pipe alignment tool

A pipe alignment tool for aligning a pair of pipes is disclosed. The tool includes an anchor member configured to abut the pair of pipes and a spindle coupled to the anchor member. The tool further includes a block in threaded engagement with the spindle and adapted to move axially along an axis of the spindle in response to a rotation of the spindle about the axis. The block includes a first retention structure and a second retention structure. Furthermore, the tool includes a flexible member for supporting the pair of pipes and adapted to be disposed around the pair of pipes and engaged with the first retention structure and the second retention structure. The flexible member is tightened about the pipes upon the rotation of the spindle in a first direction, wherein the tightening of the flexible member facilitates the alignment of the pair of pipes.

Alignment tool for positioning and aligning tubular sections

An alignment tool for positioning and aligning the adjacent ends of pipes in optimum desired relation for joining the tubular sections by welding. The alignment tool comprises a first and second annularly shaped clamping rings and a plurality of swivel assemblies connecting and circumferentially spaced about the first and second clamping rings, wherein the swivel assemblies adjust the distance between the first and second clamping rings and adjust the first and second clamping rings transversely and axially with respect to each other. Each swivel assembly comprises a first swivel portion connected to the first clamping ring, a second swivel portion connected to the second clamping ring, and a threaded bolt extending through the first swivel portion and the second swivel portion. The first swivel portion comprises an axel alignment swivel including a longitudinal shaft with a first partial spherical portion at its center, wherein the first partial spherical portion is retained within a bore extending through the first clamping ring. The second swivel portion comprises a second partial spherical portion that is retained within a bore extending through the second clamping ring.

VERTICAL PIPE DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

A vertical pipe deployment system that includes a flexible pipe deployed vertically in a non-linear manner. A first clamp couples to and supports the flexible pipe. A second clamp couples to the flexible pipe. The second clamp laterally changes a direction of the flexible pipe as the flexible pipe descends vertically between the first clamp and the second clamp.

Pipe union assembly

The present invention provides a pipe union that uses mechanical advantage from leverage between a locknut with circumferential torque openings coupled to a tubular first portion and a torque ring with torque slots coupled to a tubular second portion to tighten the union. The tightening can occur without the need of a hammer impact on lugs. Initial tightening can at least partially align longitudinally the radial holes with the radial slots. Final tightening can occur by rotating the torque openings relative to the torque slots using mechanical advantage. Optionally, the pipe union can provide for a ratcheting mechanism to turn the locknut on the tubular first portion to engage the tubular second portion and exert a preliminary torque on the union. The pipe union design also provides a self-energizing elastomeric seal or metal seal. Angles on load shoulders can assist in creating preloads on the union to seal the components.

CONDUIT FLUID COUPLING WITH ANTI-ROTATION LOCK

A fluid conduit assembly is provided that includes a first conduit coupler, a second conduit coupler and a lock. The second conduit coupler is mated with the first conduit coupler at a threaded interface. The lock is configured to rotationally fix the first conduit coupler with the second conduit coupler. The lock includes a flange, a clip and a fastener. The flange is arranged with the first conduit coupler. The flange is configured with a plurality of flange apertures arranged circumferentially about an axis of the first conduit coupler. The clip is arranged with the second conduit coupler. The clip is configured with a clip aperture. The fastener is mated with the clip aperture and any one of the plurality of flange apertures.

METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ASSEMBLE A HIGH PURITY LIQUID DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A method and apparatus for assembling a high purity liquid distribution system is described. A distal end portion of the tube is heated then pushed over a sleeve so that the distal end portion can have a shrink seal fit over the sleeve to mitigate accidental or inadvertent pull out of the tube from a fitting. Other benefits are also achieved such as minimal flow restriction of the liquid flowing through the joint and the tube.

PIPE CONNECTOR
