SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MODULATING HOT GAS REHEAT UTILIZING MULTIPLE COMPRESSOR SYSTEMS
A system for modulating hot gas reheat operation of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system with multiple compressors, wherein the HVAC system is configured to regulate air provided to multiple zones. The system includes a controller configured to respond to a call for dehumidification in the absence of a call for cooling by sequentially energizing a first compressor of the multiple compressors in a reheat mode of the first compressor, energizing a second compressor of the multiple compressors in a cooling mode of the second compressor, energizing a third compressor of the multiple compressors in a reheat mode of the third compressor initially at full capacity, and energizing a fourth compressor of the multiple compressors in a cooling mode of the fourth compressor.
COMBINED HVAC AND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
A combined HVAC and fire suppression system includes a HVAC apparatus and a fluid outlet for release of heat exchange fluid into a discharge plenum of the HVAC system. The heat exchange fluid is a clean agent, such that release of the heat exchange fluid into the discharge plenum provides a fire suppressant effect for a conditioned space. The HVAC apparatus includes a network of piping holding a heat exchange fluid and arranged for chilling the heat exchange fluid via a chiller connected to the piping; a fan coil unit connected to the network of piping, the fan coil unit includes a coil for passage of the heat exchange fluid chilled by the chiller, a fan for movement of air over the coil in order to transfer heat from the air to the heat exchange fluid in the coil, and the discharge plenum.
Structural body
A structural body includes a refrigerant between a first plate and a second plate. A circulation structural part between the first and second plates includes a reservoir portion provided on a first plate side. In the circulation structural part, the refrigerant from the reservoir portion which has evaporated due to heat of the first plate side reaches a second plate side, condenses on the second plate side and is returned to the reservoir portion again. A temperature sensitive mechanism is in a first state when a temperature of the first plate side is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature to allow refrigerant circulation, and is in a second state different from the first state when the temperature is lower than the predetermined temperature to prohibit the refrigerant circulation.
AUTOMATED EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM FLUSH
An automated flush system for an evaporative cooling system may be employed in barns or other facilities that house animals to provide cooling and to reduce production loss. The evaporative cooling control system may include an automated flush system that has a controllable valve at a flush end of the cooling system. Based on a timer, the controllable valve is opened and water drains (e.g., pumped or gravity feed) out of the cooling pad enclosure. Fresh water is introduced at the “fill” end of the system, rinsing out the evaporative cooling pads. After a predetermined time, the valve at the flush end of the system is closed, and the fresh water refills the cooling pad enclosure.
PREDICTIVE BUILDING AIR FLOW MANAGEMENT FOR INDOOR COMFORT THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE WITH GRID ENABLED BUILDINGS
A thermal energy exchange and ventilated hollow core slab system and method within a building where the slab has an air passage with an inlet and outlet, an air handler unit having adjustable heating/cooling structure and, and ventilation structure connected to the hollow core concrete slab, and a building control connected to the hollow core concrete slab and air handler system for relative thermal exchange between the air and hollow core concrete slab to control user comfort; where the building is grid enabled.
Control device, heat source system, method for calculating lower limit of cooling water inlet temperature, control method, and program
The purpose of the invention is to provide a control device that can calculate the lower limit of cooling water inlet temperature according to the operation status of a chiller. A control device comprises: a lower limit calculation unit that calculates the lower limit of cooling water outlet temperature, where a prescribed required temperature difference is added to the cooling water outlet temperature of a chiller, and an inlet-outlet required temperature difference, which is the difference between the cooling water outlet temperature and the cooling water inlet temperature in the chiller and which is generated according to the operation status of the chiller, and that calculates a cooling water inlet temperature lower limit calculated value for the chiller by subtracting the inlet-outlet required temperature difference from the cooling water outlet temperature lower limit value; and a lower limit value determination unit that fixes the cooling water inlet temperature lower limit calculated value as the cooling water inlet temperature lower limit value.

Evaporative Cooler and Method for Controlling the Same
An evaporative cooler includes a first heat exchanger, a first coolant storage, a second coolant storage, and a first airflow drive. The first heat exchanger is capable of cooling a coolant flowing through the first heat exchanger, and cooling an air flowing through the first heat exchanger by way of the cooled coolant. The first coolant storage forms a first coolant circulating path with the first heat exchanger and provides the coolant to the first heat exchanger. The second coolant storage forms a second coolant circulating path with the first coolant storage and is capable of supplementing the first coolant storage with the coolant. The capacity of the second coolant storage is larger than that of the first coolant storage. The first airflow drive cooperates with the first heat exchanger to direct and eject the air flowing through the first heat exchanger.
