PHONON DISRUPTORS FOR INCREASED THERMAL RESISTANCE WITHOUT SACRIFICING ELECTRICAL SIGNAL QUALITY IN THERMAL SENSORS
Sensor interconnects and supports and methods of making them utilize phonon disruptors for increased thermal resistance while maintaining acceptable electrical signal quality in materials. Phonon disruptors include, but are not limited to, structural features such as interfaces, grain boundaries, and point scattering sites, for example, that are designed to scatter heat carriers while allowing electrons to pass through the material. Some embodiments herein involve designing selected stacks of alternating or sequential material pairs within sensor interconnects.

Such a system may include a fiber optic cable coupled to the cementing tool and may include a distributed temperature sensing (DTS) system interrogator positionable at a surface of the wellbore for transmitting an optical signal through the fiber optic cable such that a plurality of temperatures along the fiber optic cable may be identified. A reel may be used when dispensing the fiber optic cable from a first end of the fiber optic cable in response to a tension in the fiber optic cable as the cementing tool travels down the casing string behind a cement composition. A processor in communication with the DTS system may be configured to monitor the plurality of temperatures along the fiber optic cable while the cement composition cures.
Systems and methods for measuring internal transformer temperatures

The system may also include a wireless current sensor that may detect current data associated with current conducting via the conductor and a processor. The processor may receive the current data, determine one or more temperature measurements associated with the transformer based on the current data, and send a signal to a component in response to the one or more temperature measurements exceeding one or more respective threshold values.
ENVIRONMENT DETECTION SYSTEM
An environment detection system includes a sound wave transmitter, a sound wave receiver, and a determination unit. The sound wave transmitter transmits a detection sound wave to a target space where an environment control device that conditions air in a space is installed. The sound wave receiver receives the detection sound wave transmitted by the sound wave transmitter. The determination unit determines a temperature or an air velocity in a first region near the environment control device, based on predetermined acquired information acquired from the environment control device. The environment detection system obtains a temperature or air velocity distribution in the target space, based on measured sound wave data. A temperature or air velocity distribution in a second region is obtained based on at least either the temperature or the air velocity in the first region determined by the determination unit and the measured sound wave data.
Remote mapping of circuit speed variation due to process, voltage and temperature using a network of digital sensors
A digital sensor network is overlaid on an integrated circuit for identifying and mapping hotspots in the integrated circuit. The digital sensor network may include a plurality of digital sensors distributed within an area of an integrated circuit component of an integrated circuit. Each of the plurality of digital sensors may include a ring oscillator and may be configured to output a counter value of a ring oscillator counted over a designated period. A sensor network control unit may be provided that is communicatively connected to the plurality of digital sensors via a communication circuit. The sensor network control unit may be configured to receive a plurality of counter values including the counter value from each of the plurality of digital sensors and identify a hotspot within the area of the integrated circuit.
Devices and methods for measuring natural source zone depletion rates
A subsurface monitoring system and method is provided for measuring a rate of change in an amount of a reactive material within a subsurface formation using measurements of thermal parameters at one or more positions within the subsurface without the need for background correction which may lead erroneous calculations and require additional monitoring equipment. The measured thermal parameters may be used to determine the heat generated by the degradation of the reactive material. The method may include measuring a first temperature near the surface of a subsurface region and a second temperature further from the surface. In some instances, an estimated location of a planar subsurface heat source/sink due to exothermic degradation reactions within the subsurface may be selected. With the derived thermal parameters and the estimated location of the subsurface heat source/sink, change rates for the reactive materials in the subsurface region may be determined or estimated.
MULTIPOINT SURFACE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
Examples of a fiber optic temperature measuring system for measuring a temperature of a surface at multiple points simultaneously in real time is provided. The fiber optic temperature measuring system comprises a fiber optic probe with fiber bundle with plurality of individual fibers with thermographic phosphor at the fiber's tip and a high-speed camera. Invention allows accurate multipoint measurement of ESC' surface temperature. The thermographic phosphor is embedded in a nudge at the tip of each individual fibers or on the surface (under the surface) at predetermined positions.
System for estimating thermal comfort
A system includes first and second acquisition units that acquire first and second biological information of a target, and an estimation unit. The first acquisition unit includes at least one first sensor. The second acquisition unit includes at least one second sensor different from the at least one first sensor. The estimation unit estimates a thermal comfort of the target based on the first and second biological information. The estimation unit further estimates a first thermal comfort of the target based on the first biological information, and the thermal comfort of the target based on the first and second biological information. When the second acquisition unit does not acquire the second biological information, the estimation unit sets, as the thermal comfort of the target, the first thermal comfort that is corrected using previous thermal comfort of the target estimated by the estimation unit based on at least the second biological information previously acquired by the second acquisition unit.
