FRICTION DRIVE SYSTEM FOR BICYCLE
20190291815 · 2019-09-26 ·

A friction drive system for a bicycle, which enables a bicycle to be converted into an electrically assisted bicycle, includes a driving system including a friction roller in driven engagement with a motor of the driving system. The friction roller defines a wheel engaging surface configured for engaging a wheel of the bicycle via friction between the wheel engaging surface and the wheel. A controller is operatively connected to a traction control system, for controlling a torque exerted by the friction roller on the wheel, and/or to an adjustable pressure system, for moving the wheel engaging surface and varying a contact force exerted between the friction roller and the wheel of the bicycle.

Superconducting DC circuit breaker using arcing induction

A superconducting arcing induction type DC circuit breaker includes a superconducting fault current limiter and an arcing induction type DC circuit breaker connected in series to each other. The arcing induction type DC circuit breaker includes an induction member that has a through-hole, is continuously formed in a 360-degree direction, and has a certain shape and thickness, and an induction needle that protrudes from an inner surface of the induction member toward a center of the induction member. A contact point where an anode and a cathode, which are mechanical contacts, approach from opposite directions and come into contact with each other is formed in the through-hole of the induction member, and the anode and the cathode are separated in a direction far away from each other. The induction needle induces arc generated upon contact opening when the anode and the cathode are separated from each other in the event of system accident of DC power or AC power, and the induction member quenches the induced arc by the flow of the induced arc to ground through a ground line.

Pulse voltage conditioning method of vacuum interrupter with automatic conditioning energy adjustment

A pulse voltage conditioning method of a vacuum interrupter with automatic conditioning energy adjustment based on a trend of a breakdown voltage of the vacuum interrupter during a conditioning process. A current-limiting resistor and a parallel capacitor are automatically adjusted to ensure the conditioning energy reaching a critical value without deconditioning effect. The critical value refers to a maximum conditioning energy without damaging the electrode surfaces, namely an optimal conditioning energy, which can better remove insulation defects on the electrode surface and improve insulation performance of a vacuum gap. The problems of insufficient conditioning and deconditioning effect during conventional voltage conditioning process of the vacuum interrupter can be solved. Therefore, insulation strength of the vacuum interrupter can be raised to a higher level through conditioning.

Pivot supporting structure and circuit breaker
10211018 · 2019-02-19 · ·

A pivot supporting structure for a circuit breaker and a circuit breaker. The pivot supporting structure includes: a supporting body having a supporting hole for receiving and pivotally supporting a pivot pin connected to an actuating mechanism of the circuit breaker, wherein at least one strain gauge are mounted to the supporting body for sensing the force acting on the pivot supporting structure by the actuating mechanism. This pivot supporting structure can accurately sense the characteristic force applied, such that the contact force and mechanical characteristics of the circuit breaker can be on-line monitored.

Methods of determining the order of operating contactors in high voltage circuits

A method of controlling positive and negative contactors in a high voltage electrical system includes sensing current flowing through each contactor prior to opening of the contactor and/or after closing of the contactor. A negative contactor weighted value is computed based at least partially on the sensed current flowing through the negative contactor during opening and/or closing. A positive contactor weighted value is computed based at least partially on the sensed current flowing through the positive contactor during opening and/or closing. The order of opening and/or closing of the contactors is determined utilizing at least one of the negative contactor weighted value and the positive contactor weighted value.

Pole reset trunnion

A resettable cutout sectionalizer uses a modified trunnion member including a bridge and a modified cutout hinge including at least one blocking flange. One actuated, the spring-loaded sectionalizer latching pin actuates to free the sectionalizer which is rotated open by the rotation of the trunnion. The trunnion rotates open and then is blocked from further rotation in a first direction by the bridge contacting the blocking flange(s) of the cutout hinge. To reset the device, the sectionalizer body is rotated against the blocking flange which causes the latching flange of the trunnion to cam against the latching pin to overcome the spring bias and push it back into the reset position.
