ANTI-ROTATION CLAMP AND METHOD OF USE
An anti-rotation clamp and method of use may include a bolt having a threaded body along which a stabilizer moves relative to the threaded body, a stabilizer and an engagement member which engages the stabilizer to prevent relative rotation between the stabilizer and the engagement member as the threaded body is rotated.
UAV airways systems and apparatus
UAV airways system generally are disclosed. Such UAV airway systems may comprise UAV cargo transportation systems and UAV surveillance and monitoring systems. Such systems preferably overlay and are commensurate with a system of high-voltage power transmission lines of high-voltage transmission system, and electric field actuated (EFA) generators preferably are utilized in UAVs that travel along the transmission lines, in UAV charging stations located along the transmission lines, or in both. Each EFA generator represents a power supply and comprises first and second electrodes separated and electrically insulated from each other for enabling a differential in voltage at the first and second electrodes resulting from a differential in electric field strength experienced by the first and second electrodes arising from the power transmission lines of the high-voltage transmission system.
Systems, methods and devices for induction-based power harvesting in battery-powered vehicles
The present disclosure relates to an electrically powered aircraft comprising: a propulsion system; a navigation control system operatively coupled to said propulsion system to navigate the aircraft to a desired location; a rechargeable electrical power storage to power the aircraft during operation; and a power line charging unit comprising a current transformer operatively coupled to said rechargeable electrical power storage and remotely operable to engage a power line in flight to recharge said rechargeable electrical power storage and remotely disengage said power line once recharged.

Utility pole mounted lightning rod
The utility pole mounted lightning rod may comprise a base plate, a housing tube, and a lightning rod. The utility pole mounted lightning rod may be a lightning protection system that is adapted to be mounted at the top of a utility pole. The utility pole mounted lightning rod may divert energy from a lightning strike to a grounding wire and away from primary wires and other power utility equipment. The base plate may be coupled to a side of the utility pole at the top of the utility pole. The housing tube may be coupled to the base plate at an oblique angle and may retain the lightning rod. The utility pole mounted lightning rod may be operable on three-phase posts where contact with one of the primary wires passing directly over the top of the utility pole must be avoided.
Fire resistant composite pole system
A utility pole system that provides for easy temperature inspection of the fiberglass reinforced plastic utility pole. The system may include utility pole and a sleeve arranged around the pole, and a temperature sensor positioned underneath the sleeve.
SWING ARM ASSEMBLY FOR A UTILITY VAULT HOUSING A UTILITY EQUIPMENT
A swing arm assembly for a utility vault housing a utility equipment includes a swing arm bracket for supporting the utility equipment and a latch support arm both rotatably coupled to a sidewall of the utility vault. A latch pin is attached to one of the swing arm bracket and the latch support arm and a locking slot is formed in the other one of the swing arm bracket and the latch support arm for slidably receiving the latch pin. The locking slot has a first locking end that locks the latch pin in a stowed position for stowing the utility equipment and a second locking end that locks the latch pin in a service position for servicing the utility equipment.
Side-loading straight-line deadend clamp assembly
A clamp assembly includes a body member having a first and second ends. A cable groove is formed in the body member between the first and second ends thereof to receive a conductor. A keeper is connected to the body member and has a lower surface to engage the conductor received in the cable groove. A threaded fastener connects the keeper to the body member. A biasing member is disposed between the keeper and the body member on the threaded fastener to bias the keeper in a direction away from the body member.
Spool-free fiber optic cable configuration for cable installation onto a powerline conductor
A method may include (1) coating a segment of fiber optic cable with an adhesive substance, (2) forming a coil of the segment of fiber optic cable, (3) deforming the coil into a noncircular shape defining a slot external to the coil while obeying a minimum bend radius requirement for the segment of fiber optic cable, and (4) activating the adhesive substance to stabilize the noncircular shape of the coil. Various other methods and apparatuses, such as those for performing the deforming operation, are also disclosed.
Camouflage for transmission towers and lines
The present disclosure relates to camouflaged systems and related camouflaging methods. The camouflaged systems can include at least one camouflaged object, including but not limited to transmission lines and transmission towers. One or more surfaces of the camouflaged object can be configured to appear like (e.g., match, mimic, simulate, correspond to, or otherwise blend with) an environmental condition, which can include any variety of background environmental landscapes. For example, one or more surfaces of the camouflaged object can be painted, coated, or imparted with a texture such that they reflect light in a way that corresponds to any particular environmental condition.
