MULTI-CHANNEL FAULT DETECTION WITH A SINGLE DIAGNOSIS OUTPUT
20170302071 · 2017-10-19 ·

A multi-channel device with a single diagnosis status pin may be configured to detect if one or more channels has a fault. The multi-channel device, which may operate within a system, can communicate which channel, of a plurality of channels, has the fault using only a single diagnosis status pin and no additional diagnosis control pins. The multi-channel device may output a fault signal on the diagnosis status pin and in response to an interrogation input signal on the same channel as a fault channel indicate to the system which channel is the fault channel.

Antenna diversity implementation for wireless locks

An electronic lock system including an access control device configured to provide system instructions, an interface module electrically coupled to the access control device and configured to transmit RF signals in response to system instructions received from the access control device, and a plurality of wireless electronic door locks each configured to wirelessly communicate with the interface module. Each of the wireless electronic door locks includes a controller and a wireless receiver operatively connected to the controller, the wireless receiver including a first antenna defined as a circuit board trace and a second antenna, spaced from the first antenna and defined as a circuit board trace. Each of the first antenna and the second antenna include one of a monopole antenna and a fractal antenna. The controller is configured to switch between the first antenna and the second antenna to receive a wireless signal having a greater signal strength.

A system and methods for adaptive bi-direction audio wiring, in which a circuit may be attached via a headset port using RJ9 pin configurations in a phone handset, and dynamically test many different phone handset configurations for optimal audio pathing and processing for speaker and microphone audio generation with minimal noise, static, or power fluctuation.

ON-DEMAND MODULAR FOG COMPUTING RESOURCES

In one embodiment, an autonomous carrier transports a fog computing module to an enclosure at a location determined to be in need of a particular fog computing resource, and aligns and anchors the fog computing module to the enclosure, where the aligning and anchoring is based on mating mechanical connectors on the fog computing module and enclosure. One or more electronic components of the fog computing module may then interface to the enclosure due to the anchoring, and the fog computing module activates at the location, accordingly. In one particular embodiment, the particular fog computing resource of the fog computing module is an additive resource to an existing fog computing resource module at the enclosure, and the existing fog computing resource module provides the mechanical connectors and interfaced electronic components of the enclosure.

RACK UNIT WITH PIVOTABLE REAR DESIGNATION PLATE

The disclosure is directed at a rack unit that provides an improved system and method for users to identify the ports within the rack unit. The rack unit includes a designation plate pivots between a lowered position where the user can identify the ports within the rack unit and a raised position where the user has more space to insert a cable into an identified port.

Combined Signal

Various embodiments are described that relate to a combined signal. A signal can be transmitted from a transmitter and be received by a receiver. The receiver can be an antenna array that comprises multiple individual antenna elements. At least some of these individual elements can receive the transmitted signal at different reception angles and these received signals can be considered signal copies. The reception angle can influence a power level of a signal copy. Multiple signal copies can be combined together into a combined signal that has a greater power level than the individual signal copies used in the combination.

Low frequency or ultra wide band control by BLE in identification device

A vehicle access system includes an identification device with a first transceiver, a short-range transceiver and a processor configured to control the first transceiver and the short-range transceiver to activate the first transceiver only when a distance measurement between the identification device and a vehicle is within a predefined range as determined utilizing the short-range transceiver.

Method and system for permitting remote check-in and coordinating access control

Methods, systems, and devices for controlling access within a multi-facility room are provided. More specifically, a guest of the multi-room facility is allowed to remotely confirm reservations to the facility as well as bypass the front desk of the multi-room for check-in purposes. At a location within the facility, the guest is allowed to confirm their arrival, check-in, and have their access credential written with personalized access data that may be useable for the duration of the guest's stay.

Intelligent entrance guard unlocking system and unlocking method thereof

An intelligent entrance guard unlocking method includes: transmitting electric energy by wireless electromagnetic radiation via a transmit coil; receiving the electric energy via a receive coil; capturing a vein image of a part of a user via a number of small cameras by Infrared scanning technology and filtering noises from the vein image to get a filtered vein image; transmitting a wireless signal containing the filtered vein image to an intelligent entrance guard; comparing the filtered vein image with a predefined vein image; unlocking the intelligent entrance guard when the filtered vein image matches with the predefined vein image and not unlocking the intelligent entrance guard when the filtered vein image does not match with the predefined vein image.

Multifunction lock unit
