Biofilm disrupting composition for use on chronic wounds
A biofilm disrupting composition for use on chronic wounds comprising (i) at least one biologically acceptable thiol based antioxidant (ii) at least one biofilm disruptor and (iii) at least one biocide. Also disclosed is a process of preparing the composition. Also disclosed is the use of the composition for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a chronic wound, and a method of treating a chronic wound in a patient comprising administering the biofilm disrupting composition.
Non-standard amino acid containing compositions and uses thereof
Provided herein is a stabilized DNase I polypeptide containing a non-standard amino acid that maintains enzymatic activity even under harsh conditions, such as reducing environments. The stabilized DNase I polypeptide has enzymatic activity in reducing environments that is higher than a corresponding DNase I polypeptide without the non-standard amino acids under the same conditions. Also provided herein are polynucleotides encoding the stabilized DNase I polypeptide, cells for expressing and/or producing the stabilized DNase I polypeptide, and methods of use of the stabilized DNase I polypeptide.
NOVEL COMPOSITIONS FOR DISRUPTING BIOFILMS
Compositions and methods are provided for disrupting biofilms formed by microbial organisms. In accordance with one embodiment such compositions are used in conjunction with standard treatment for use on chronic wounds. In one embodiment the biofilm disrupting composition comprises a nuclease and aurine tricarboxylic acid. The biofilm disrupting compositions disclosed herein can be used in conjunction with a therapeutic pharmaceutical composition comprising standard antibiotics.
Polypeptides
The present invention relates to polypeptides, nucleotides encoding the polypeptide, as well as methods of producing the polypeptides. The present invention also relates to detergent dompositions comprising polypeptides, a laundering method and the use of polypeptides.
INJECTABLE HIGH CONCENTRATION PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides compositions comprising one or more active pharmaceutical ingredients, wherein the compositions are in the form of high solids concentration pastes capable of being injected in relatively low volumes into an animal using standard commercially available syringes. The invention also provides methods of making such compositions, particularly those compositions comprising high molecular weight active ingredients (e.g., antibodies, enzymes and other proteins and peptides) at relatively high therapeutic concentrations in the high solids concentration pastes. The invention further provides methods of using such formulations in treating, preventing and/or ameliorating certain diseases and physical disorders in animals, including humans, in need thereof. The invention also provides kits comprising the formulations of the invention and a suitable syringe, which in some aspects may be pre-loaded or pre-filled with a composition of the invention.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING ENZYMES
A cleaning composition comprising deoxyribonuclease enzymes, an additional enzyme and a cleaning adjunct, methods of making such cleaning compositions and methods of treating surfaces such as fabrics or hard surfaces with aqueous liquor comprising such compositions.
BASIC DOMAIN-DELETED DNASE1-LIKE 3 AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure provides D1L3 enzymes having complete or partial C-terminal deletions of the basic domain (BD), which have substantially enhanced chromatin-degrading activity. In accordance with aspects of the invention, the D1L3 enzymes described herein are more suitable and/or effective for therapy and/or are more amenable to large-scale manufacturing. In some embodiments, the D1L3 enzymes have benefits for systemic therapy. Such benefits include longer exposure (e.g., slower elimination, longer circulatory half-life), extended duration of pharmacodynamic action, and improved chromatin-degrading activity.
Detergent composition
The present invention concerns a detergent comprising a deoxyribonuclease (DNase). The present invention further relates to methods and uses of the detergent comprising a deoxyribonuclease (DNase) for laundering.
ENZYME COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to compositions such as cleaning compositions comprising a mix of enzymes. The invention further relates to use of compositions comprising such enzymes in cleaning processes.
Methods for treating or preventing tissue adhesions
The present invention relates to the treatment of tissue adhesions, e.g. tissue adhesions that occur after surgical interventions. More specifically, the invention refers to an enzyme having DNAse activity for use in a method of treating or preventing tissue adhesions. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition that comprises an enzyme having DNAse activity for use in a method of treating or preventing tissue adhesions.
