AUTOMATIC COFFEE MAKER AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING A COLD BREWED BEVERAGE
A method of preparing a cold brew beverage includes providing a flavorant, identifying a brew cycle for preparing the cold brew beverage, and performing said brew cycle, wherein performing said brew cycle includes steeping said flavorant within a predetermined volume of water having a temperature between about 30 C. and about 50 C.
DEVICE FOR PREPARING A FILTERED COFFEE BEVERAGE
A device for preparing a filtered coffee beverage is composed of a filter pot and a coffee container. In the starting position, the suitably dimensioned filter pot is situated inside the coffee container and supported on the bottom wall of the latter. In this position, boiling water is poured into the filter pot, and then ground roasted coffee is added, which is mixed with the water by stirring or by means of shaking the device. Thereafter, the filter pot is moved to an upper filtering position, in which the coffee beverage passes through a filter screen at the bottom of the filter pot into the coffee container.
Cold brew beverage brewing systems
A cold brew coffee apparatus has a first container, a second container, a centerpiece connector, and a filter. Preferably the filter is positionable within the first container such that it divides the filter interior volume from the remainder of the first container interior volume. Preferably, cold brew infusion occurs when water in the first container interior volume passes through the water-permeable barrier and soaks coffee grounds within the filter interior volume to form a soluble coffee extract. An alternative cold brew coffee apparatus includes only a single brew chamber and a filter.
Extraction cell
An upward flow extraction method, apparatus, and extract are disclosed. The upward flow extraction method can comprise loading extraction material into an extraction cell having a bottom portion and a top portion; introducing a first aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell; expelling gas from the extraction cell through the top portion of the extraction cell; closing the top portion of the extraction cell and increasing the pressure in the extraction cell as extraction medium flows into the bottom portion of the extraction cell; stopping the flow of extraction medium into the extraction cell; steeping the extraction material in the extraction medium under pressure to produce an extract; and introducing a second aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell to push extract through top portion of the extraction cell.
Automatic coffeemaker process for preparing a cold brewed beverage
A method of preparing a brewed beverage using a beverage brewing apparatus includes providing a flavorant, identifying a process cycle including one or more infusion cycles for preparing the brewed beverage, performing said one or more infusion cycles, wherein said performing of said one or more infusion cycles includes providing fluid to said flavorant, and varying a temperature of said fluid provided to said flavorant during a single infusion cycle of said one or more infusion cycles, or between a plurality of infusion cycles of said one or more infusion cycles.
Filter holder for beverage producing machines
A filter holder including a housing with a bottom and an aperture through the bottom; a valve with a stopper for opening and closing the aperture, the stopper supported by a pivoting arm and biased towards a closed position; a cam arranged between the bottom and the pivoting arm, and having a cam profile co-acting with the pivoting arm, and being biased towards a first position wherein the cam profile prevents closing of the stopper and having a second position wherein the cam profile allows closing of the stopper; a slider which co-acts with the cam to move the cam from the first position towards the second position. The slider is biased in an inactive position and is moved towards an active position by co-action with a locking ring whereto the filter holder is attached. The slider when moved towards the active position pushes the cam towards the second position.
Cold Brew Coffee Beverage and Method of Making the Same
Disclosed are processes for making cold brew beverage compositions including concentrates and apparatus for preparing cold brew beverage compositions. The disclosed processes and apparatus allow for efficient, rapid, industrial scale production of cold brew beverage compositions having improved total solid content, improved flavor stability, longer shelf-life, and adaptability to use in small volume containers.
