Cold brew coffee beverage and method of making the same
Disclosed are processes for making cold brew beverage compositions including concentrates and apparatus for preparing cold brew beverage compositions. The disclosed processes and apparatus allow for efficient, rapid, industrial scale production of cold brew beverage compositions having improved total solid content, improved flavor stability, longer shelf-life, and adaptability to use in small volume containers.
Controlled System and Method for Brewing Infused Beverages
An infused beverage brewing assembly with a brewing chamber configured to house a solute, an infusion pressure sensor, and operably configured to receive at least one infusion beverage parameter including an infusion pressure utilized in an infusion algorithm. The system includes a pump that using an infusion algorithm, induces a flow of solvent through solute housed in the brewing chamber to generate an infused solution, a scale operably configured to measure a weight of the dispensed infused solution, and an electronic controller. The controller is communicatively coupled to the pump, scale and infusion pressure sensor and configured to induce a flow of solvent with the pump until reaching a brew chamber fill pressure. The infusion algorithm dynamically generates a plurality of flow rates within the brewing cycle. The infusion algorithm generating a solvent flow rate change that is a function of the infusion pressure and the dispensed infused solution mass.
EXTRACTION CELL
An upward flow extraction method, apparatus, and extract are disclosed. The upward flow extraction method can comprise loading extraction material into an extraction cell having a bottom portion and a top portion; introducing a first aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell; expelling gas from the extraction cell through the top portion of the extraction cell; closing the top portion of the extraction cell and increasing the pressure in the extraction cell as extraction medium flows into the bottom portion of the extraction cell; stopping the flow of extraction medium into the extraction cell; steeping the extraction material in the extraction medium under pressure to produce an extract; and introducing a second aliquot of extraction medium through the bottom portion of the extraction cell to push extract through top portion of the extraction cell.
MILL, MILLING MACHINE, AND BEVERAGE PREPARATION APPARATUS
A mill includes a first mill having a first grinding region, a second mill having a second grinding region opposed to the first grinding region and provided to be rotatable relatively to the first mill, and a heat radiation mechanism which is provided in at least one of the first mill and the second mill and radiates friction heat generated as a result of rotation of the first mill and the second mill relative to each other, and the heat radiation mechanism is provided in a portion except for the first grinding region and the second grinding region.
METHOD, INFUSION CONTAINER, AND PREPARATION DEVICE FOR PREPARING AN INFUSION BEVERAGE
A method for preparing an infusion beverage is disclosed wherein a dried infusion substance is applied in an infusion container, the latter being present, in the first instance, in a collapsed state and being extendable into an expanded state, An infusion liquid is introduced into the infusion container, wherein the infusion container is expanded. The dried infusion substance in the infusion container is kept in contact with the infusion liquid, in order to form the infusion beverage, over a contact period. The infusion container is then returned to its collapsed state, at least in part, by compression and, in the process, at least some of the infusion beverage is expelled from the infusion container.
LINER FOR A VESSEL
A beverage system comprising a vessel and a liner assembly. The vessel may include a spigot with a passage configured to receive at least a portion of a liner assembly. The liner assembly may include a flexible liner, a flexible tube, a rigid cuff, and a tamper evident connection therebetween. The flexible liner may be positionable in the vessel. The flexible tube positionable in the passage of the spigot. The rigid cuff disposed in at least a portion of the tube. The tamper evident connection may be provided between the tube, liner, and cuff.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAKING TEA LATTE
An apparatus includes a body, a removable first container for water for positioning on the body, a boiler within the body receives water from the first container, a heater adjacent to the boiler heats the water in accordance with at least one preparation parameter. The apparatus further includes a removable second container that is a combination milk carafe and boiler for positioning on the body and a separate heater adjacent to the milk carafe and boiler for heating the milk in accordance with at least one preparation parameter. A filter and a dispensing valve are controlled electronically. An interface and display for entering brewing parameters and a microcomputer for the controlling the apparatus.
Cold brew beverage brewing systems
A cold brew coffee apparatus has a first container, a second container, a centerpiece connector, and a filter. Preferably, the filter is positionable within the first container such that it divides the filter interior volume from the remainder of the first container interior volume. Preferably, cold brew infusion occurs when water in the first container interior volume passes through the water-permeable barrier and soaks coffee grounds within the filter interior volume to form a soluble coffee extract. An alternative cold brew coffee apparatus includes only a single brew chamber and a filter.
BREWING DEVICE
A brewing device includes a container, a filter net assembly, a gas guide tube, a cover assembly, and a lift grip. The cover assembly includes a cover and a connecting member. The gas guide tube is combinable with the connecting member so as to combine the cover and the filter net assembly together. The lift grip is connected to the cover assembly to allow hand-holding of the lift grip for moving the cover assembly and the filter net assembly. The filter net assembly is retained in a retaining portion of a container opening portion of the container. An annular gap is formed between the cover and an inside surface of the container opening portion. A water filling trough is formed, as being downward recessed, between the cover and the container opening of the container. The gas guide tube is in communication with a liquid storage space of the container.
Beverage brewer
A beverage brewer includes a container, a container collar, a brewing material holder, a mesh element, and a drive assembly. The container has an open top, a closed sidewall, and a closed bottom. The container collar is configured to cover a rim of the open top. The brewing material holder is configured to hold brewing material and to be suspended from the container collar and into an interior of the container. The brewing material holder includes a sidewall having an opening, an open top, and a bottom. The mesh element covers the opening in the sidewall of the brewing material holder. The drive assembly is positionable on the container collar and is configured to be mechanically coupled to and rotate the brewing material holder.
