A filter insert (1) for insertion into an insert opening (91) of a vessel (9) for the purpose of extracting beverages has a base body (3), which has filter openings (51), and a sleeve. A circumferential region of the sleeve has a corrugated elastic outer contour (21) which serves to flexibly match said filter insert to an internal dimension of the insert opening (91) of the vessel (9).

An apparatus pertains to a product preparation featuring a permeable body comprising an extraction chamber(s), along with a flexible, free-motion mechanism structure appropriately coupled to the body. The apparatus is equipped with a sealing mechanism at an opening, allowing for the insertion of a predetermined portion of ingredients. In some embodiments, to enhance filtration, a sleeve filter may be inserted within the container. When the container is submerged in a vessel to a level suitable for extracting a beverage, it securely affixes to the inner wall of the vessel through the flexible structure. A liquid infusion device includes a container, a container collar, a lid assembly, and a filter basket. The container has an open top, a closed sidewall, and a closed bottom. The container collar has a collar opening and is configured to couple to a rim of the open top. The lid assembly is configured to cover at least a portion of the collar opening. The filter basket is configured to hold infusion material and to be suspended from the lid assembly and into an interior of the container. A cold coffee brewing device is disclosed. A filter basket is provided that can rest at two positions, a first brewing position and a second draining position, the draining position being located above the liquid being brewed to allow the filter basket to drain without further support. The filter basket rests on a first width in the brewing position and on a second width in the draining position. The first and second width can either be formed in to a container for brewing or an adaptor can be provided to create the first and second width on the container. The filter basket has sections that are adapted to rest on the first and second width respectively.

A teapot is disclosed. It comprises a body having an aperture, a lip extending about the aperture, a filter element positionable so as to extend into the body through the aperture whilst being supported by the lip, and a lid to close the aperture over the filter element. The teapot also comprises a dish in which to stand the filter element upon removal of the filter element from the body. The dish is stowable, when not in use, within the filter element so that the lid extends over both the filter element and the dish.

The disclosure concerns a filter assembly adapted for use with a wide mouth carboy in the field of home brewing, and home brewing kits comprising the same. The filter assembly generally includes a carboy lid adapted to engage a fermentation carboy, a mesh filter tube extending from a bottom side of the carboy lid, wherein through an aperture of the lid and into the volume within the mesh filter tube is defined a mesh cavity. Materials can be introduced into the mesh cavity for brewing applications. An agitation probe forms part of the home brewing kit and is used for: (i) agitating the materials within the mesh cavity during a brewing process; (ii) pressing the materials to extract fluids therefrom; or (iii) a combination thereof.

An integrated beverage infuser and lid are adapted for use with a drinking vessel for brewing a consumable product, such as tea, in the drinking vessel, such as a travel mug or insulated tumbler. The lid includes a main body adapted for removable attachment to the drinking vessel. A fluid-permeable brewing basket defines an enclosable receptacle for removable receipt of the brewing product. The basket is movable between a stowed position, close to a lower surface of the main body and above the level of liquid in the drinking vessel, and a deployed position, spaced farther apart from the lower surface of the main body for submersion in the liquid contained in the drinking vessel. A flexible attachment member attaches the brewing basket to the lid main body. A sidewall recess in the main body retains the flexible attachment member when the brewing basket is in the stowed position.
