Compositions for Relieving the Symptoms of Gluten Sensitivity and Methods of Use Thereof
The disclosure relates to a composition that may be used to prevent the symptoms of non-celiac gluten sensitivity and may include ingredients that degrade or inactivate gluten and other components that may cause these symptoms.
ULTRAPURE HYPOALLERGENIC SOLUTIONS OF SACROSIDASE
One aspect provides an ultrapure, hypoallergenic sacrosidase. Another aspect provides a solution of sacrosidase in about 1:1 glycerol/water having an enzymatic activity of at least about 7500 IU/mL and a residual papain concentration that does not include an allergic reaction in a human patient when given a dose of about 2.0 mL/day.
PROTEOLYTIC ENZYME COMPOSITION
The present invention provides a novel proteolytic enzyme composition more particularly an orally administered proteolytic enzyme composition comprising of one or more acid proteases, one or more alkaline protease and one or more plant proteases. More particularly, the composition comprises of microbial (fungal, bacterial or other microbes) protease enzymes, proteases from plant and animals proteases thereof.
Dissolvable gel-forming film for delivery of active agents
Disclosed is a dissolvable, gel-forming film, and methods for its use, comprising a water-soluble cellulose ether, a hydrophilic rheological modifying agent, and an active proteolytic enzyme or other drug substance. The gel-forming film has a water content of less than 15% w/w and is capable of forming a hydrogel when contacted with water or other aqueous medium. The disclosed films achieve delivery of stable proteolytic enzymes to the desired site of action in a manner that provides uniform delivery of the enzymes.
Preparation and application of high-activity and high-safety cardamine violifolia selenoprotein standard sample
The present disclosure provides a preparation and application of high-activity and high-safety Cardamine violifolia selenoprotein standard sample. The standard sample of the Cardamine violifolia selenoprotein prepared by the present disclosure has the advantages of extremely low heavy metal content, less ash, high protein content, high total selenium content, high organic selenium ratio of up to 99.9%, high biological activity, high safety and so on; the organic selenium is mainly in form of selenocysteine/selenocystine and accounts for more than 90% of the total selenium content, and is expected to make up for the shortage of selenoprotein standard samples on the market.
COMPOSITIONS FOR BREAKDOWN OF GLUTEN PROTEINS
Disclosed are compositions for promoting the breakdown of gluten proteins. In some example embodiments, the composition comprises one or more of papain, bromelain, and actinidin. In some example embodiments, the composition comprises papain, bromelain, and actinidin. In some example embodiments, the ratio of papain to bromelain to actinidin is 1:2:3. In some example embodiments, the composition also comprises a digestive enzyme. In some example embodiments, the composition also comprises a probiotic.
Protein hydrolysate composition that increases coalbed methane production
This invention provides a composition and a method for increasing biogenic methane gas production from subterranean coal deposits. The composition and method provides a nutrient protein hydrolysate that contains less than 0.5 percent of the amino acid L-tyrosine, which is most effective in significantly increasing methane gas released from subterranean coal deposits.
IMMOBILIZED ENZYME NANOGEL AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A method for preparing and applying immobilized enzyme nanogels includes oxidized sodium alginate and enzymes are dissolved separately in deionized water, mixed uniformly, and reacted to obtain immobilized enzyme nanogels; the aldehyde groups in oxidized sodium alginate react with the amino groups in the enzymes, forming imine bonds to immobilize the enzymes; forming nano-scale cross-linked polymer-based particles with a three-dimensional network structure, resulting in the immobilized enzyme nanogels; the surface of immobilized collagenase nanogels is modified with CXCR4 antagonist peptides, which can specifically block CXCR4 on the surface of T cells; the Schiff base bonds can selectively break in the acidic microenvironment of tumors, leading to collagen degradation and reduced extracellular matrix density; the modification enhances the chemotaxis and infiltration of T cells into pancreatic cancer tissues and can inhibit the metastasis of pancreatic cancer.
CONFORMATION-SPECIFIC EPITOPES IN ALPHA-SYNUCLEIN, ANTIBODIES THERETO AND METHODS RELATED THEREOF
The disclosure pertains to conformational epitopes in alpha-synuclein, antibodies thereto and methods of making and using immunogens and antibodies specific thereto. In particular antibodies raised to cyclic compounds comprising at least 3 amino acids of EKTKEQ (SEQ ID NO: 1) selectively recognize misfolded oligomeric alpha-synuclein and are able to inhibit alpha-synuclein propagation and toxicity.
